Great food as always cannot be faulted
Very tasty food and very friendly service, would definitely return.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Been there a few times now, no other Indian restaurant compares
Excellent and plentiful meal at a reasonable price with attentive staff
I frequent many Indian restaurants and have my own business where service skills are important as they should be in all restaurants.
After being seated under a blaring loudspeaker in a fairly quiet restaurant we moved asking if this was ok. We were not acknowledged once seated, offered no choice of drinks and i noticed not one smile. We had to call out a few times before the order was taken. This was despite an obvious excessive staff present. Its almost as though the staff dont want to interact with their customers. The place looks presentable and although parking can be a dire issue if busy, the restaurant has huge potential. With some simple tweaks the experience can be totally positive.
The food was good to fair and geared to a Western palate which was a shame as there is a huge Asian client base and all but one pair of diners were Asian when I attended.
Overall I am itching to liaise with the owner but although I'm no Gordon Ramsay or Alex Polizi I have learned that with excellent customer service, most shortcomings can be overlooked. Sadly I won't return quite yet as I had the last parking space and there is no pay for display overspill parking and I would not risk a fine or ticket. The food however is fair and the decor is subtle and calming. Staff need to be inviting and courteous and this was a huge issue in my opinion.
Neverthess the restaurant looks great and the food was quite good so there's an overall positive but for me as I dislike having to fight for someone's attention when I'm paying for a meal this negated the experience.
Had yet another fantastic meal here with friends, can't fault anything. Good was wonderful.
Good food served beautifully- the staff are always so friendly and welcoming to be children.
This was a family meal including our 9 yr old daughter who has just recently decided she likes some Indian food, particularly samosas. We were visiting the area & used trip advisor to find a good restaurant. When we sat down to order I discovered they didn’t do samosas- typical. I was recommended two items for my daughter which I was assured weren’t spicy. Unfortunately they were too spicy for her to enjoy. We tried the mango lassi hoping that would cool her tongue- it was very nice but didn’t help.
My husband & I really enjoyed our dishes apart from the garlic rice- they’d used garlic flakes instead of fresh garlic which just stuck to your teeth! When I commented on this to the waiter he seemed quite uninterested. The music played while we were eating was rather irritating & boring. The decor of the restaurant is very bland apart from a very strange painting on the back wall.
Absolutely lovely, food was beautiful and cooked fresh to order. Service attentive. Best Indian restaurant atound by miles .
No parking space
Waited 20 mins for space
Had to leave and go to a different restaurant
We were a party of five celebrating a birthday. Just ordered popadoms and main courses. We were a bit disappointed in the chutneys as portions were smaller than on previous occasions and not quite so tasty. Main courses were flavoursome, although the goat meat wasn’t as tender as the lamb dish. Birthday boy had the chicken stuffed with king prawns which was delicious. The food wasn’t as hot (in temperature) as it could have been and was just served on china dishes- could have done with the old chafing dishes to keep it hot. Service was attentive but not obtrusive and the restaurant had a happy ambience, with many regular diners.
Overall a decent, enjoyable meal, would happily return.
Always enjoy dinner here. Whether group or just us as a couple. Valentines dinner, nice touch at end with female customers being handed a rose.
Will return in future
