An inspired menu featuring fresh seasonal ingredients. The service is just as easy going and friendly. The use of local seasonal ingredients is obvious while the flavours are inspired by the chefs' personal experiences, travels and tastes. A small independent business that must be supported!

Overpriced for what you get. Food was quite salty and arrived either immediately or am hour later. Bill came to over £150 for 4 people and none of us felt full!

Food was delicious however sharing plates in the main too small to share between two. Waitress from Italy was a delight. Explained everything wonderfully.
Dining area a little sparse, not a great buzz when we lunched.
Word eat there again and take friends.
Cornish crab yhermidor and linguine were the stars.

Second time I've eaten here & it's already one of my favourite restaurants.
It's a small plate restaurant & even though they hadn't received their fish delivery, the selection was still very good. I loved the balance of the dishes & the attention to detail within each dish is amazing. Stand outs were the bread & butter, burata & the pigeon Wellington was sublime.
The staff are knowledgable, attentive & helpful. Thank you for a wonderful night.

Outstanding restaurant. Not a large venue, and you need to book. The small plates are exquisite. Recommend almost two per person, but they are brought out at different times for sharing. The flavours are sublime, and the menu is unusual - what a treat. Locally sourced ingredients - the bread comes from the Lemon Bakery next door, cheese from Neal's Yard Dairy round the corner etc. Not to be missed. Will be going again and again.

Absolutely love this resturant. Its the 2nd time I have been. The food is delicious, and consistent both visits everything was equally wonderful. Staff are really friendly and inviting, helpful and relaxed. I couldn't recommend it more.
One of London's proper gems.

I have now been to Lupins four times and it has become a firm favourite. It's lovely to be welcomed to a restaurant where staff remember you and are friendly, providing service which is responsive without being intrusive. The menu changes regularly, depending on the seasonality of ingredients. On my last visit, one of my friends was a non-meat eater, but we still found a good range of dishes to share-from old favourites like cornmeal fried spring onions to the fantastic crab thermidor and superb chocolate ganache. Good range of affordable wines. I would highly recommend Lupins.

Food did not live up to the reviews. Greasy. No distinct dishes. Drinks and service were great.

Tiny kitchen, big food taste. It’s remarkable what they can do in such a small kitchen but the food is consistently excellent, market fresh and great flavours and combinations.

It’s a small restaurant space so tables get filled up easily. Best to book but you can risk a walk in and end up at the bar area which is a tight spot.

Imaginative cooking paired with an interesting wine list, with many options by the glass and half-bottle size carafe. The service was friendly and attentive. I had made a note when booking that we had to leave at a particular time as we were going to the theatre, and they made sure the bill came promtly when requested.

The staff ate amazing, very nice, chill and caring but over powering.
Food are nice.
If there is a set lunch menu, at a reasonable price, I would go for lunch too.

The food was very good, especially liked the hake and the brocolli. But it was pretty pricy, more than we normally spend going out for a meal with drinks. The small plates are a great idea, but in all restaurants that have gone down that route (not just Lupins) I question value for money.

Lupins is an absolute gem of a restaurant and everyone I have brought with me has gone back and brought someone else with them.

The food is divine! Gorgeous plates of perfectly crafted food made with regional ingredients from all over the UK. It’s a small restaurant, with bar seating on the ground floor and table seating upstairs. Wonderful atmosphere is perfect for conversation.

The pricing is crazy reasonable too: table of 4, 8 plates, 2 bottles of wine came to £42 per person incl service. It felt like it should have been £82! No doubt one day it will be. Brava Lupins!

Quiet at lunch time but relaxed and friendly and, big plus, you can hear yourself speak. Food interesting, original, well presented and delicious. Love the deep fried spring onions. Wide variety of gluten free options for me, a coeliac. Highly recommended.

This was our second visit to Lupins and it was as good as I remembered it. Excellent food and friendly service. The crab thermidor and the onglet were both particularly good. Make sure you save some space for pudding - the chocolate moose is delicious.

Lovely small venue in Flat Iron Square. We booked as there were 4 of us. Great service and atmosphere. We ordered all the main small plates (except the meat ones as had a vegetarian with us.) Standouts were the hake and the pasta. Alot of the dishes seemed to come with the same breadcrumbs/miso(?) based sauce to add texture which wasn't always needed in our opinion. Dessert (choc mousse) was a delight!

Food was good but the service was a bit of a shame. When we arrived the waitress immediately moaned about working on a Saturday night - not fun. Later on she joined in on a conversation we were having that she had clearly just been listening in to. Odd.

Lovely little restaurant.

Positive:

Flavoursome and experimental dishes, spring onions and pork were my favourite- really delicious!

The bread with fudge style butter was a really interesting start! Strangely moorish!

Delicious wine

Negatives:
Service a *little* slow and staggered (but lovely staff)

Burrata dish way too sweet, overwhelmed the flavours

Would absolutely go again and would recommend

Unassuming restaurant with wonderful small plates of joy. My favourites are the brown butter with sour dough and the crab Thermidor, but the ceviche is delicate and wonderfully uses blood orange as it’s citrus and the puddings are perfection. I went twice one week accidentally and wasn’t disappointed on either occasion. Well worth a visit.

Recommended by a colleague, this place was a real gem. Friendly staff, and some excellent sharing dishes (in particular, the fish). Would recommend this as a lovely date venue, or for you to catch up with 3-4 family and/or friends.

Small and delightful operation above the bustling Flat Iron bars. British meets Italian small plates full of flavour & technique with little pretension. (Phew). Prices appeared more than fair, great salty, sweet chocolate ganache to finish. Striking urban view of Londis to enjoy from the windows. Well worth a try if looking for something new away from the more established eateries of Borough market & Waterloo.
