Really lovely food - small plates - we had 8 between 4. Original and interesting if a bit oily. Nice unobtrusive service, good wine. Only downside was it got very noisy but it was full on a Wednesday night in January. Booking essential i suspect.
Lovely brunch venue, fantastic food ! Especially the brussel sprouts . Highly recommend.
The sharing plates were absolutely delicious, with each one thrilling the taste buds. Staff were very helpful and ensured we were finished in time for the theatre. We will definitely be going back the next time we are in London.
Such a special little place. Perfect for a dinner with friends - really delicious sharing plates. Original, great value
Very welcoming staff, friendly and helpful. Very knowledgable on gluten free options, and when they felt they needed to check with the chef they did. Had 3 starters, 7 mains, 3 desserts between four of us. Really interesting mix of food that arrived gradually allowing us to savour the flavours and have a good chat. Came out having had a great experience but not feeling too full. Thoroughly recommend.
Really good food, especially the sprouts.
Pretty poor wine tho.
All round excellent evening - the food was terrific
As always, delicious, inventive, fresh food with perfect, genuine service. We are always very happy to visit Lupins.
Quite frankly, this is one of the best places to eat in London. An incredible accomplishment for the women that run it.
Second time dining in the evening at Lupins. My party was seated upstairs. Nice cosy place. Food and service good and I am glad I returned. Will definitely return and recommend to others.
Lupins has been a favourite since it opened - homely, cosy yet interesting, original food, the perfect level of service (familiar and friendly but not overly chatty), and lovely ambience without too much noise (surprising considering how teeny tiny it is). It's a great place for small groups of friends, or a one on one dinner. Not the cheapest evening out BUT such good value for money and ALWAYS a treat!
This was our second visit & once again we were very impressed with both the food & service. Such interesting dishes served by very helpful young people . On arrival at 6pm we found the music way too loud for a group of 6 older people but the staff responded immediately & turned it down. Shall return .
Very cosy no-fuss location. Lovely sharing dishes with fresh and great combinations.
Very friendly staff, who explained that all dishes were sized for sharing with a recommendation to order 4 or 5. Took their advice and had a very enjoyable meal. Will definitely go when next in the area.
Great small restaurant where I and 3 others ate pre theatre last week. Menu is composed of sharing plates and all very interesting. Waitress advised on number of plates to order which was spot on. Can recommend.
A truly outstanding experience. Very tasty food in a great environment served by a fun and professional team. Definitely going back!
Lupins is a great little intimate spot. The food was great and the service was some of the best we have had in the UK.
Dined with client's at Lupin's at lunchtime and we all loved it. The food was absolutely sublime - tried almost everything on the menu and every dish was delicious. Service was also extremely friendly and helpful. Have a feeling i'll be heading back very soon.
A lovely slightly quirky restaurant based on plates of food but be careful not to over order!
Very good: great food, charming staff and moderate prices in one of my favorite parts of town. As it has been noted in other reviews, the small plates format works well because dishes are served in a sensible order. Will go back again as soon as I get a chance.
A gem of a restaurant wity seriously good food. Small dishes and many healthy options. Ask for a table in the cosy upstairs restaurant.
Lovely small restaurant with great food. There were 2 of us and we shared 3 small plates and 3 starters and it was plenty for us! For a lovely meal, it wasn't too expensive either. £110.00 for food and a bottle of prosecco.
It was quite quiet so was good if you know the person quite well and are comfortable however i wouldnt call it "vibey". Great for date night though.
A wonderful restaurant tucked in Flat Iron Square, London Bridge. The food is so scrumptious. Each plate delights. The white bean crostini are a must to try as are the crispy spring onions with chipotle mayo, anything with Buratta and the amazing bavette steak. The interiors are gorgeous - small, cosy but no-one sitting on top of another. But what makes this place so fabulous are the people working there. I've been 3 times now and every time the service is superb. Dominique and Freya are so welcoming and attentive when you need them to be. If you're hesitating about booking, don't, everyone is guaranteed to love this place.
Lovely food in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The portion sizes were generous for a tapas-style restaurant and the standard of the food was high but inevitably some dishes were more enjoyable than others. The gruyere croquettes from the Snack section of the menu were delicious although the crab thermidor was disappointing and would have benefited from including some larger pieces of crab meat. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would definitely revisit.
Perfect for lunch
Inventive, delicious food and lovely upstairs dining area. Highly recommended.
Sorry, but portion sizes were tiny, I wanted to laugh out loud when the ‘sharing’ bream dish was presented to us- all of a teaspoonful. This is like that ridiculous trend a few years ago for Nouveau Cuisine. I think this will not last. Over £100 for 2 people with a couple of glasses of wine each. Sorry you need to up your portion sizes, to avoid clientele going away feeling ripped off, like we did. If i can say anything positive, the Vinho Verde was nice, and some flavours good, but as stated not enough. Just stop trying to be hip And trendy and concentrate on portion sizes that are not baby- food sizes!
The food here was really high quality, creative and beautifully put together. There wasn't a single dish that was anything less than delicious. Service was really nice - friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommend.
Expensive in comparison to other places in the area, but the food was incredible, homemade everything!
Amazing food, well balanced, tasty and inventive. Ordered 2 starters, 6 share plates and 2 desserts between 4 which was about right. Cod was a standout but could not really fault any of the other dishes. Great value for money for the quality of food. Would definitely go back given the chance.
We were so wonderfully surprised by the incredible cooking and menu. Totally a delight and theservuce was immaculate too. Definitely will go again and recommend to all my friends
With such high reviews, we expected more from the food but otherwise, no surprises in terms of budget and service was excellent ! Our group found the menu vocabulary somewhat pretentious and needed to ask the waiter for a lot of explanations. Still one of the dishes served was dissapointingly different to his verbal description. Some dishes were outstanding and creative while others were unseasonal (lamb dish very hearty for a summer menu). The guys in our group weren't too pleased with paying a fiver for a can of beer.
Unfortunately couple on next table were so so loud but food was lovely. Acoustics need looking at.
Lupins is our go-to for dinner with friends at the moment. Sharing plates are social lubricants! Friendly staff, elegant plates and great wine list.
Lovely food prepared in unusual ways with skill and creativity. Really nice waitresses and a pretty upstairs dining room.
Second visit to this lovely restaurant. Excellent food and good service
Went there to celebrate my birthday with friends and happy to be back in this restaurant with a new menu.
We tasted the white bean crostini with a strong anchovy and lemon salsa and this set up the tone of the cooking. Cornish crab thermidor is very satisfying but the cod crusted polenta is a little pale in flavour . The grilled bavette served rare with an inspired argentinian blend of coriander , parsley and garlic is a delight when the crispy quail needs your fingers to deal with but the great surprise was the sweet: a dark chocolate ganache with sesame and sallted caramel which shows flair and passion- WEe drank with all that a very good Vino Verde and finish this celebration with a sweet wine from Cadillac: Chateau la Passonne 2005, an other discovery....Would like to live near it....
This is my second visit to Lupins. The sharing plates are both imaginative and delicious. The food was spread out so that we didn’t have everything served altogether. A really pleasant dining experience and the staff a delight. We will definitely continue to go there.
A great restaurant with fabulous small plates of food
The starters we nice - the highlight was the deep fried spring onions which were delicious. The cod was also nice but could have been a bit larger. Good choice of wines and a nice buzz. Our only complaint was the table were very small — by the time the dishes wine cooler water etc was placed on then it was dangerously over filled
