Truly some of the best Italian food in the area. Fresh, authentic, and the neighborhood vibe makes this a gem. The market downstairs is great too!
Consistently good, wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Lupo Verde Osteria Palisades is a great place for lunch or dinner. The food is wonderfully delicious and moderately priced for the quality. The service is friendly and met my needs, but I will keep going back because of the great atmosphere and food.
One note: at the end of the night, we ordered a dessert to go and they graciously packaged it up to be eaten at home. Each part of the dessert was packaged separately and still tasted delicious the following day.
We were there for our friend’s birthday and were seated next to a party of maybe 9-10 people that were so loud I couldn’t hear my friend across the table. Sound just echoed of the fireplace I guess. Food was not worth the money, my New York strip was so tough even with the steak knife it needed serious sawing, and I ordered medium rare. The cocktail I ordered specifically said with blackberries, they forgot the blackberries. My friend ordered the spaghetti and she said even if al dente was the goal the spaghetti was too stiff and the sauce bland.
The restaurant is cute, but not worth going back to for almost $100 for one person.
The only redeeming part of the meal was dessert.
Our favorite neighborhood Italian. Slowing trying all the pasta dishes with each visit and loving them all.
This place is amazing , food is outstanding . Service is impeccable. I felt at home , enzo was amazing!
From the second I walked in , Angelo made me feel very welcomed . I will be coming back to try more dishes on menu .
Always a favorite!! Couldn’t wait to try some new items on the menu! The lasagna was delicious - a huge piece baked in a mini skillet that I almost couldn’t finish but it was so scrumptious I had to! My cousin enjoys the Bolognese dish - again, a large portion considering they are typically small plates here for sharing. The tartufo Nero was small yet perfect to share as a sweet treat! Our server was very attentive and the service was great! Will keep coming back!
Always outstanding food in a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Great for date night!
The Mangement of Lupe Verde has been able to blend good food, great wines and outstanding service. We have been at the restaurant for casual lunches and specials family dinners. The blend of excellence is consistent. Angelo and his team make every meal special.
My wife and I dined here this past Saturday night for our Valentine's dinner. We each had the lamb shank and it was fantastic. Our waiter explained the Valentine's special menu to us and was on top of things throughout the meal. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
My husband and I spent Valentine’s Day here and enjoyed their v-day prix fixe menu. It was divine. The service was incredible and the owner gave us flowers upon our departure. I would wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a restaurant.
I love the romantic ambiance at Lupo Verde Palisades. Our waiter was so attentive and super friendly. We had the cacio e peppe and panna cotta caramello and both were divine! All the dishes were delicious. Very fresh and love the Italian authenticity of their meals. It was the perfect Valentine dinner date night. Overall our experience was very pleasant and we will be coming back very soon! :))))
Love this place so much- the food, the service, the experience. All awesome.
Molto Bene ❤️
Authentic, clean Italian food with gluten free and vegan options. Service is impeccable, great gem hidden in the Palisades
We have been here many times, but were extremely disappointed. The menu has changed, gotten increasingly expensive, and the food was just not great. One guest asked for Cioppino with no squid or octupus, and the server told him there was never squid in it and she would request no octopus. It came loaded with squid and octopus. They took it back, took a very long time to replace it, so much so that he tried to just cancel the dinner. Everyone else had finished when it finally came. They said there would be no charge, because it was hardly cioppino -- six mussels and one shrimp in a thin broth. Not good, not a meal (though listed as an entree), and very disappointing. The whole meal was off in some way, and it will be a while before we go back here. Sorry to say because it's a pretty place, the pasta is decent, but it should have a more neighborhoody vibe with lower prices to match.
Ray our waiter is fabulous as is the manager. Neighborhood favorite!
Everything was delicious! From the starter salads to the Dover sole special to the pastas. Our party of four all enjoyed our meals and will definitely come again. I liked that there was something for every palate without being a big menu. Every dish was prepared with care. The servers were all very accommodating and professional. The restaurant is intimate and lovely. Note that the sound level is a bit high but it didn’t affect our wonderful meal.
Excellent waitstaff had a whole grilled Dover sole that was exceptional
Pretty good. Enjoyed it.
Small menu - outstanding quality. The fried artichokes (whole) and the squid/octopus (on white bean pure) dishes showed the mastery of the kitchen. The risotto was sublime. Branzino was crispy at skin side and deliciously moist - perfection!
That the chef is on top of his metier was proven by a last minute request for an Italian staple - cacio e pepe: as it was late, the kitchen was out of pasta and whipped up freshly made spaghetti. The waiter advised accordingly, explaining the delay. Then within minutes the steaming plate arrived - and the two young men, hungry after a won basket ball game, dug in and feasted on a treat.
To round out the experience, it should be noted that making reservation, arriving (with one person more than reserved) and being served were all pleasant - super friendly staff made us welcome.
We’ll be back soon, for the set Valentine’s Day dinner, we hope.
Fabulous al dente meatless noodles dish.
Overpriced for what it was. Small portions. Good service. Quiet ambiance. Not for children and loud talkers.
As always, the food was excellent, the ambience, dark and relaxing and the service quite good. It seems that whenever we go out, we go there. And that should say it all.
This boutique restaurant is full of surprises w delicious dishes & to tie for dessert! Highly recommend it & two thumbs up!
We really enjoyed our brunch which was very tasty and service was exceptional.
We had a good time. The food, service and the ambiance is excellent. It is a bit pricey. We will go again and I recommend it for my friends.
We had a waitress who constantly tried to upsell—-the wine, the appetizers, the choice of entrees. We understood that and could counter it but what annoyed us most was that all through our meal, she kept interrupting our conversation to sell us more or to wipe down our table. For a table of four out for an evening in our neighborhood, this was beyond annoying. We will not come back unless Black Salt can’t take us or unless the manager can assure us that this waitress gets better training. The restaurant is too expensive to have a third-rate waitress wrecking its reputation.
Lovely spot for a quiet brunch, food was delicious!
We just love this restaurant- lovely servers, delicious food, and fun ambiance and convenient .. so nice not to drive downtown and also deal
With crazy parking.. my friend an I always share the fish served table side! We pretend we are on some Mediterranean exotic beach where they serve the whole fish and debone for you right next to you! The flavour is light and just right. Thank you for letting us escape Lupo verde !
As indicated, we really enjoyed ourselves. When the couple who were to join us were late (they went to the other Lupo by mistake) and were at least 45 minutes late) management was kind enough to allow us to enjoy our meal, with no pressure whatsoever, to hurry even though they were busy!
Fabulous experience in terms of food and service.
Just tried this neighborhood gem Sun. night after hearing about it from friends. Loved it. The server was engaging with great recommendations. We split the whole fish (sea bass, cut and deboned tale side) and an order of carbonara. Will definitely be back to try all the pastas.
