   Such a lovely meal on Friday night. Went for a set menu so it was very good value and the lamb was so much more delicious than some I've had at a celebrity chef's pub at three times the price. Lovely addition to Highgate. Our waiter was very friendly too.

   Second visit and second review. The last time I did a review on Google they asked to be email Andrei. The email address must be wrong because it bounced back. Once again I found the food underwhelming. I had the Onglet and chips and thought the meat was a little tough. The first time I went had the schnitzel and found it tasteless and possibly undercooked, although my wife had it too and thought it was OK. I would pitch this restaurant as similar to the Cote that it replaced. It was fitted out well. The staff were friendly and reasonably efficient. For a Wednesday night it was quite busy. I hope they succeed and I will still try it again. My view is though is that they should put the prices up and improve the food quality. Perhaps its just me

   Ordering was tricky as the menu had been updated but they forgot to add icons for the items available on the set menu so dishes had to be repeated verbally several times. Starter arrived swiftly but the main took over half an hour. Some diners left as they had been ignored. When our main eventually arrived it was very good but the service overall wasn’t good and they weren’t even busy!

   Our first visit to Lussmans, having once been regulars at Côte until it became tired and over-priced. What a treat! Superb, prompt service - special shout out to Zaneita! Great drinks - that Negroni packs a punch! And the beetroot, parsnip soup, lamb and trout were all excellent. And seasonal vegetables cooked à point! Will definitely be back!

   This was my first time at Lussmanns and I was impressed with the cosy atmosphere and the amazing wait staff. When we were ordering we said, you go first birthday girl, to a member of our party, and then at the end of the meal they brought out a scoop of ice-cream with a candle in just because they'd heard us say that. The food was really good, and I've tried to recreate one of the dishes at home. Everyone particularly liked the fresh fish and the cocktails. It loses one star because it only had one vegetarian main meal option, and because of the ladies toilets. They do not match the classiness of the restaurant or the prices. They are like a McDonalds toilet at 2am in Leicester Square. The toilet doors don't fit the frames, the floor was sticky and covered in dirty water, and the toilet paper is ridiculously thin, cheap stuff. It's a bit of a culture shock going in there. That aside, I would recommend Lussmanns. They are nice people.

   So happy that Lussmans has come to roost in North London I wanted to try EVERYTHING on the menu - I didn't, but what I chose was beautifully prepared and presented - not over fussy or pretentious -everything was much better than I imagined. Lovely service - Giles Coren is right to rave about Lussmanns!

    The new layout of this former Côte has been changed so the street-facing part which used to be the most popular area has been separated into a brunch cafe and the unpopular middle of the floor is now the restaurant. Bad decision as the ‘shop window’ looks bleakly empty. The restaurant was empty at 6pm on a Monday but the set menu stopping at 6 instead of 7pm dutkey doesn’t help. If there is an early evening set menu, the included desserts should be on a separate set menu card - rather than us choosing a dessert from the whole menu to be told ‘that’s not included’ - sounds mean.

    Hello Sherry Happy to advise that the new area has been a success creating a space for parties, dogs and coffees and furthermore you now walk into the restaurant rather than via the original dank and dark corridor. You are more than welcome to move into the restaurant regardless of what you want to eat. Mondays are always a little quiet but happy to advise that we are between 35 and 40% busier than Cote so though far from resting on our laurels seem to be on the right track. Set menu is illustrated using a gold diamond and most set menus stop between 5pm and 6pm across London allowing the early bird to enjoy a deal. Andrei L
