Lyaness at Sea Containers London
Boasting views across the Thames, and a design featuring intimate smaller tables, it also has spaces for larger gatherings. The bar is warm and welcoming, whilst offering a focus on the highest quality cocktails, sustainability and innovation that the Mr Lyan team have become world famous for. Lyaness is the only Central London bar from Mr Lyan alongside Cub restaurant in Hoxton, East London.
From the moment we arrived we were both taken care of. The staff were very attentive, pouring us nice cold water and keeping an eye when it needed topping up, some great recommendations on what cocktails to have, very knowledgeable about ingredients and took on board the few small requests I had asked for. They made my friend whose birthday it was feel very special with a little candle and mini birthday cake and even a wee birthday drink on the house. The cocktails themselves were unreal and so flavoursome and I liked how elegant they all looked but also a really amazing selection to choose from! Beautiful interior and fab view! Can’t thank the lovely staff enough for taking care of us and even sitting for little chats about the drinks after each one. Super dooper! All the best!
Totally overrated. Music was very loud, seats were uncomfortable and low. Cocktails weren’t great. If you want excellent cocktails and ambience save your money and go to Kwant, Core or the Savoy Hotel.
Our experience was amazing! Wonderful cocktail, amazing food, great staff. Everything was perfect! Thanks Lyaness 🥂
We went for a birthday treat and we were delighted that Lyaness brought out a little birthday treat as well as the delicious cocktails - we were thoroughly spoilt!
Nice evening, but messed food order up and the music was really bad (and quite offensive)
Was very disappointed with the quality of the cocktails and especially with the waiting staff. Didn't eat any food but had to fill out the star system.
A fantastic and highly enjoyable London experience. Highly knowledgeable service and great vibe in the bar.
A bar that builds on the success of its predecessor, Dandelyan and becomes even better. Superb service and drinks. One of my favourite bars in London
The cocktail list is new and he decor is new - great staff luckily hasn’t changed since the old Dandelyon. The new cocktail menu is based around 7 different ingredients (banana, king nut, onyx, whiskey etc), which is interesting but difficult to pick your favourite on the first occasion. Cocktails were if not amazing definitely interesting. Will be coming again to try out more. Just the only drawback is the cocktails are quite small but expensive. Didn’t have any food so can’t judge. Oh and a big fan of the new blue decor.
The drinks were amazing and the bar team was super friendly.
We enjoyed it very much and we will come back for sure!
Great venue. Pleasant staff. Nothing was too much.
When you visit from the States and the first song you hear as you walk in is Gangsta’s Paradise, you know it’s a place where you’re supposed to be. The service, food and cocktails were phenomenal. Already recommended to like three more visitors. Can’t wait to come back!
Great atmosphere, very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of cocktails and wine.
Looking forward to returning in November 2019 for the Wyld Tea with pairing cocktails.
Great bar. Amazing decor & lovely setting. Friendly, knowledgable bar staff willing to help guide you through the cocktail menu.
Decent cocktail at good prices - nice spot by the window - I will be back
Great place for a first date 😍
Awful service. A most unhappy experience. Seems to have poor management. Terrible.
Had drinks only
Visiting London and wanted to visit the proclaimed World’s Best Bar. The drinks were very good and fresh. The ambiance was not I would have expected. Good drinks for sure
It was okay. A chilled quote vibe. The wife enjoyed herself that’s the important thing - though we’ve been married 12 hours. Check out my hotel review
Really average cocktail bar and not worth the drinks prices. Bar staff are great but seating not very comfortable, lacking in atmosphere and have had better cocktails in lots of other London bars. They’ve gone for style and decor over atmosphere.
Beautiful location, stunning decor although we preferred the lilac and green the blue works. The drinks are an understated delight and I’m presuming the slightly off service is teething problems as it’s close to perfect/Dandelyan.
Very expensive! The view is fantastic, and it was a great experience. My drinks were the favourite of the night.
We went for drinks on a Saturday night - we had booked the table for 7 for two hours. Luckily we ended up having it until just past ten. Interesting cocktails which were not over-priced for the quality that we got, and attentive staff. Fab views and amazing décor.
We were served by Nicolas - great service, very friendly & knowledgeable.
One of my favourite bars in London, great vibe and service. Love how the bar staff introduces and suggests cocktails.
Great atmosphere, staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. All sitting is such that you don't feel too close to any other groups. Drinks are interesting and different from the norm.
Amazing bar and drinks and great snacks. Worth it if you want to pay for a good experience- place stands out and staff
Are super helpful.
I had been to Dandelyan previously and loved it. Not disappointed by the change. Great cocktails, great staff. Although there's a drink menu you can always make a few changes or get a classic cocktail. Highly recommend. And the view is of course great.
We come there as I read it was the second cocktail bar in the world. Nothing so far, a standard high level cocktail bar.
Beautiful place, great cocktails, just a bit noisy so not very good for a date.
Service and surroundings were excellent but the cocktails were nothing special. We picked from the menu as well as took recommendations from the waiter.
The cocktail menu is a bit difficult to understand
Good service, almost too attentive as needed time to read through the menu. It was very quiet when we arrived, so lacked any atmosphere. Felt quite old fashioned, which was disappointing.
Cocktails were well made and mixed, but could do with more detail of the ingredients on the menu, as not all ingredients are well known. Hotel is very nice inside, the restaurant and reception area are much more to our preferred decor.
I've spoken very highly of Dandelyan in the past and having been a number of times, and for celebrations, decided to take relatives visiting from overseas for a special occasion, however we were very disappointed.
We ordered our drinks from the new Lyaness menu (having been informed it changed 3 weeks prior) however a couple of minutes later, the waitress came over to inform us that two out the three cocktails were not available due to lack of ingredients. She began to ask what type of cocktails we liked, what spirit, fruity or something else and having answered all her questions the response was "well there's plenty to choose from". You would have thought in this instance, she would have offered a recommendation. My two guests ended up having a glass of wine as the waitress had been so unhelpful.
Then upon leaving the staff could not find one of the coats despite handing them in together and the staff were adamant we had only given them two. Very rude and unhelpful customer service, for a world renowned cocktail bar, I doubt i'll be going back in a hurry which is unfortunate given how wonderful it's been in the past.
Great bar for chilled out drinks. Highly recommend!
The new cocktail menu requires you to read the textbook before you understand what they're doing with their cocktails. It's based on just a select number of ingredients, which, if you like them, you'll love.
However, cocktails where the 'star' ingredient is bananas or raspberries sounded pretty sickly. And even after reading the explanation, I have no idea what 'onyx' is in a drinks context.
On the other hand - the dirty martinis were excellent! Top marks there!!
Adrian was an amazing waiter with so many insights about London!
Amazing cocktails, with a really unique set of ingredients. We booked a table for 4 on a Saturday and we were expecting it to be super busy - it was, but the seating is spaced out enough that you don't get annoyed by the noise levels.
This was a fantastic night. Has my best friend visiting from Canada and we both enjoyed our evening there...music was great and the atmosphere was cosy and pleasant. This is a great place to start your evening.
Cocktails were good and the service fantastic.
