Best curry around! A great place with a great menu
Had a lovely meal, sharing the banquet menu. Food was delicious and lots of it. Staff were kind and friendly.
An absolutely amazing experience! Food was perfect, well priced, the staff were fantastic and the actual restaurant was wonderful. Will definitely be returning
Excellent choice of dishes with a good variety. Food was served hot and well presented . Waiters were very attentive .
Great curry, the banquet is lovely and gives you a chance to try other curries you wouldn’t normally try. The staff are attentive and always friendly. Really good atmosphere in the restaurant, I’ll always be back for more
very good all round! have bene here a few times now and each time is lovely experiance
They accommodated our need for a table of 6 and a nearby table of 2 - so that was good.
Food was good - although didnt get my green chillies - but the food was tasty enough without that.
Was a bit on the expensive side but can understand that given the days and times we are in.
Bring back Eat Out to Help Out and I would go there more often!
We traveled a fair distance to get to this restaurant and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, a real Indian taste. The service was very good and friendly. The waiters were very attentive and came over to the table to ensure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning soon.
The price is too high and portion is too less, food was not tasty.
We placed order for 1 diet coke and they charged us for two
Good food and great service.
We enjoyed ourselves.
Great food. Recently decorated. Friendly staff. Couldn't fault our visit.
Great service, great food (although we went at 12pm on a Sunday so we were the only ones in the restaurant).
I asked the waiter if we could have extra menus as their was only one on the table, he said yes, and when I had to ask him again he said yes I've already told you I would get them ! he had a very bad cocky attitude, if their were correct menus on the table in the first place I wouldn't of had to ask, the table was booked well in advance and was supposedly ready when we got there, however their was no cutlery when our meal arrived had to ask again, and I had to ask twice for the rice I had ordered as the curry was served without it, as well as the poppodoms we had to wait for, they came after the main course, and the bad cocky attitude continued, obviously some of their staff are in the wrong job ! we ordered spicy poppodoms and they gave us plain but charged us for spicy.
The whole experience was very underwhelming, I've been to Maya before, and it was ok, but obviously they now have some staffing issues, they certainly need training in hospitality, so we won't be going back there again !
Second time I’ve been here for evening meal, great food and will return for more
Food pretty average and drinks always expensive. Fourth visit and won’t be going again.
Wonderful meal, friendly staff, nice atmosphere - definitely a favourite!
Crispy prawns & monkfish were excellent.
Service was very good. Food was expensive compare to quantity. I ordered chicken curry and chicken was chewy. Won't be going again.
Only one small issue on the evening but was quickly sorted. Food was excellent and staff polite and helpful.
This is not a curry house - it’s a proper restaurant. The menu is mercifully not as long as some other Indian restaurants. Less is more. There are some usual suspect dishes, interspersed with some more unusual options that are worth trying.
One note of caution - the spice level is a step higher than you might expect. I appreciate that, but others might not.
Food is good
Service is usually good
Ensure you allow 2 full hours for dining
Service was excellent with engaging staff.
The Railway Mutton Curry was a delight and a definite favourite dish for the future.
This is the best curry house in and around Milton Keynes.
Food tasted like an Indian selection box you would get from a supermarket.
Food was hot in some places and cold in others, microwaved?
Lacked flavour all round for the price you pay was expecting a lot more.
Menu looked promising but food did not deliver.
This is the best resturant I have found in the past 14 years of living in Bedfordshire. The first time and definitely won't be the last. Food was extremely tasty even the lamb chops melted in your mouth. Overall a brilliant experience. It is quite expensive here but worth going for a treat.
WE are regulars but on this occasion the food was distinctly dreadful. We left with the impression you were attempting to make up for lost revenue. The VEGATABLE TALI was the worst my wife had ever experienced.
The decision was made as we left the restaurant "never to return"
We received this morning the £10 off voucher - it has been binned.
Great food and really enjoyed. Would recommend them!
Table only had one menu and there was no service for atleast 10 minutes and was difficult to get the attention of any waiters. Food was bland and the wrong item was brought over to begin with. I had to get up to get the attention of a waiter to correct the order. Poor experience overall I would not return.
Social distancing measures were reasonable. Service and quality of food was average. There was an altercation with a member of the public and a head waiter during our visit where I think the waiters behaviour was unacceptable and the situation could of been handled more professionally
Probably the worst Indian I’ve had! Food was not authentic. My curry tasted like a Chinese sweet n sour. My partner ordered the 7 chilli chicken and was told it was hotter than a vindaloo... it was not. Even I could handle it!
The noise levels were too high with chart music blasting. Only saving grace was that they are part of the Eat out to Help out scheme.
Booked in advance and were seated very quickly
Social distancing was good
Nice choice of food
Came here for a birthday meal with friends and everything was just perfect. Cant wait to re-visit
Last minute decision to book table. Great choice and food was superb
I booked a table online and got a phone call 1 hour before myvreservation to say i had to vacate the table after 1.5 hours as the Restaurant was fully booked! Thought this was ridiculous but agreed anyway and when we arrived at the Restaurant it took them 20 minutes to take our drinks order! There was no recommendations from our waiter regadring any dishes of the day or Chef's specialities. My food was drowning in oil and when i made my waiter aware he almost argued that this is how it comes. Eventually he took the food away but literally only removed some of the oil.
The food was clearly not cooked fresh, my 5 year old ate nothing at all as she hated the flavours. For starters we ordered the Vaishno Platter which for the price was a disappointment in portion size. Furthermore, the flavours were a far cry from anything authentically Indian and everything was really oily and greasy. We also ordered the dehli samosa chaat and i have to say that this was literally the ONLY dish that ibwould recommend as it was actually tasty! The mint chutney that accompanied our platrer was sweet and gooey- no taste of mint anywhere and again very disappointing.
Dahl Makhni which is a safe bet in any indian restaurant was vile- i mean vile. It tasted nothing like dahl makhni should as it had lots of star annise in the dahl along with other spices that clearly have no place in an authentic dahl makhni.
The Kdadi paneer was drowning in oil and rather than having chopped peppers and onions there were literally just onions. I sent it back due to the amount of oil and it came back in seconds with some of the oil missing.
Our waiter didn't check on us to see if we were okay or if we needed/wanted anything else.
The ambience of the restaurant is nice, chairs are not the best and to locatevwas a nightmare as the sat nav stops opposite the Sainsburys but the restaurant is tucked away in a side alleyway.
So disappointed as i had high hopes when i read the menu but won't go back or recommend.
Our visit to Maaya restaurant for early dinner was very pleasant- the food was absolutely delicious, maybe just a little bit pricey.
Felt a little rushed but food is always good
First visit to Maaya Indian. Very impressed with service and the quality of the food. Will certainly book again
Terrible service in our opinion.. Felt rushed but I was the fact that my daughter (vegetarian) ordered veg Samosa for starters and the waiter came back to double check meat/veg and when they arrived they were meat.. Not happy...
Quite a few of the staff not wearing there masks correctly including the manager..
Lovely food which did not take long to be served. General service was quite slow in respect of getting more drinks or paying the bill
Excellent food and attentive service, slight issue with one of the starters but it was resolved very professionally and the restaurant could not have done more, would highly recommend.
Waiter was stressed, did not try to up sell any items. Did not come to do quality check with customers
