Food was delicious! Ambiance was casual and comfortable
I'd recommend Mable's. I think a couple of other bbq places in the city are better. It was fine, not great.
The food arrived toward the cool side of room temp. The yams had marshmallows on them, which wasn't listed on the menu, though the Pecans (nuts) were disclosed.
The key lime pie was good.
All in all a solid place to hang out and eat, but not transporting. I think most bbq places really sleep on their sides and it brings the experience down all around unless you came for meat and drinks.
Love Michael Symon!!! So kind and happy to take a minute for his fans!! Food is amazing!!
Great food. Somewhat chaotic with tables close together, tough to get through. Unclear where to order at first bc order counter was not open, and we missed the small sign saying to go to bar instead. Overall decent value for NYC.
This BBQ spot is great! Best we ever tried. Meats are seasoned to perfection and very tender. Mac and cheese to die for. Good drinks. Homemade hot sauce 👍. Polite staff.
Delicious! I’ve never had such great ribs. Mable’s sets a fun, relaxed chow down vibe.
Best BBQ in NYC. Just be advised you have to order in the back . They do not waitress .
Been having the ONLY BBQ cravings lately.. honestly haven’t shut up about Mable’s since. It was just amazing. Went with a few people where we were able to order/share almost everything...not one complaint! Def will be back as I think this may be one of my new favorite places!
Beautiful meal and location..service was amazing...nice and clean... Definitely need to come back
Food good. Long wait. Understaffed and waitstaff was overwhelmed.
Bad night? They ran out of food
this place is a must in williamsburg if you’re a bbq lover. it’s loud, dark, crowded and the service isn’t the best, but the food is absolutely worth it. the brisket and mac & cheese blew my mind!
Exceeded my expectation.
We were a large group so we tried every BBQ meats and sampled all the side dishes offered.
Both were super goods.
The food is the best. Delicious meats and sauces.
The ambiance is awful. Food is served on paper plates, which I hate - cutting meat on a paper plate is very unpleasant. The physical space is far too large and cavernous - with hard rock playing incessantly. The overall feel of the restaurant is very airport like. Concrete floors, hard seats, impersonal and industrial setting, disposable dinnerware. Yuck. I’d certainly go back for the food, but would not considered it a “night out.”
Food and setting were very good - Mable's exceeded expectations!
Best BBQ-style brisket I've had in a very long time. The hosts, bartenders, and wait staff are all very friendly and earnest (and normally would get more "stars" on this basis), but I'm not sure the system of ordering cafeteria style, then having the food brought out by no one in particular as it becomes ready, is the best way to get the food from kitchen to table.
They were out of ribs which isn’t great. The flavor of the meat was good but I would’ve like the brisket to be cut thicker. It was almost as if it was cut for a sandwich. Also, the music only appealed to one type of listener.
Ribs were the best I ever had. Mac and cheese and cornbread were also outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.
Very friendly and helpful staff, great food. Really enjoyed this place as a random find during honeymoon.
Very interesting place. Sort of a banquet or cafeteria style.. And a little confusing to understand the ordering process and with only drink menus on the table. However, these are only minor issues and the food is Dynamite. Prices seemed high, but the portions were big and lots of side dishes like pickles, slaw, etc. were included. Good place to just wind down and eat well
Great bbq spot in Williamsburg. Good drink specials.
Really bad food, uninteresting, the cafeteria-style service does not add hipness, it feels like a cafeteria.
My second time here (randomly found it while walking a few years ago) and I did not remember the name. So glad I found this place again the food is delicious! Portions could be bigger but just order more food if you want to leave stuffed.
Food great, and hostess was super sweet!
Great tender ribs and brisket!
Very quiet as it was a late lunch. The food was a little cold but I was too hungry to send it back.
Brisket was amazingly tender. Food and ambiance where great.
Fantastic food and drinks. I would highly recommend it to others. Great value also.
We arrived for an early dinner after making a booking for 5 people. When we arrived we were told they overbooked, had no place for us and had stopped taking food orders. So no seat, no food! It was 4th July but it wasn’t an overly busy. It was very unprofessional!
Outstanding BBQ! We were a party of five and between us we tried everything and it was all so delicious. IF you have any room left, the desserts are great. The staff is so welcoming and ready to make sure you have what you need. You go up and order and then it is brought to the table for you. It's a relaxed dining experience that makes it easy to enjoy yourself and the people your with.
Food here was delicious. Best Rack of ribs in NYC! Drinks are wonderful.
The food was delicious!! I took my husband for fathers day and he was so happy! He told me I picked a great place to celebrate!
My husband came here because our friend had her wedding catered by Mables last year and food was delicious. This is a nice casual place to come to for some good bbq food. The food is good and I love their bbq sauce. The only thing I didn't like was that the brisket had a lot of fat in it and one of the big ribs looked burnt because of the black charcoal on it but meat was still good. I think food was better at the wedding we went to but it was still good especially the candied yams :) We shared one meal with sides and it was enough for the both of us. We were stuffed lol. The only thing I'd warn you about is that they don't have waiter service like other restaurants so you have to order food and drinks at the bar and then someone brings it to your table. When done you have to ask for your bill at the bar to pay before you leave. That was different for us but it was fine. We would come back to eat here again.
Fantastic authentic bbq food, incredible brisket and the best bbq sauce I've ever had! We were just sad they had sold out of bottle to take away!!
This place was great. I was able to get seating for 10 people for my mothers birthday which included my 2 month old baby. The food was good the prices were decent and we were able to talk without a problem. Granted this was at 5ish so it was early. There were other babies there so defitnely kid friendly at that time which was a plus for us.
Hometown has best barbecue, Fette Sau is next with limited menu, both have great service and all have the divy bar feel. Hometown has live music... just go to Hometown you won't be disappointed.
Met a friend for lunch with my son on a Sunday afternoon. Nice, casual environment. No table service, but ordered at the bar and the food was delivered promptly. Delicious barbecue, friendly, out going staff. Definitely a sane oasis in hipster rich Williamsburg.
