No covid avoidance, large groups of lads on a Christmas booze up.
Left without eating, as no other tables were available, crammed people in, very noisy.

We had a great night, service throughout was spot on, attentive not encroaching, we had x2 servers, both great and the cocktail recommendation landed well. The starters were lovely, prawns and avo, ❤️and beef tacos a tad spicy but lovely. Now, we ordered x2 filet steak with x2 sides to share, more then enough and what about the fillet???? OMG, the best steak I’ve had for a long time, it was absolutely lovely, cooked perfectly (medium rare) tasted amazing and with the fries and gratin it made a great combo. The atmosphere was lively, loved it. So the London based reviews, I’d question, why travel 60 odd miles?? Not the cheapest place by a long way, but quality over quantity all day. Recommended 💯

Bit disappointed really. £20 per head, even though advertised at £17.50 on Facebook page. Food wasn’t hot at all. Roast potatoes were reheated and old. Gravy was too runny. Parsnips undercooked.
Meat amazing!

Had the small plates once again & they were excellent as ever!! But pricy when added up with a couple of drinks. Young vibe, loud music (bit loud for me!) but food pricy but excellent quality & so tasty. Toilets are shocking & wish they’d sort that

Food was absolutely incredible! Couldn't fault it!
However, lack of communication between staff meant that different waitress' would attend our table, asking the same questions and often bringing the wrong thing to our table. For example, someone else's bill and drinks were given to us and our drinks order arrived wrong on two occasions. Had one waitress been assigned to our table, this would have saved a lot of hassle. We understand that it was one of the first few nights back open since new COVID guidelines, so we expected delays etc. But it was a tad frustrating.
The menu was confusing and it would have been helpful if someone could have explained this to us, especially as we had mentioned that it was our first time at the restaurant. For example, prices were unclear, showing two different numbers with no explanation.
Although, delicious! It was extremely expensive and soon adds up when you have to pay extra for the sauce on your steak, as well as sides. I feel that, for the price you are paying, at least one or the other should be included.
The atmosphere was good, varied music and it was so nice to see the restaurant buzzing with life, considering the current climate!

I was there for the first time with my uncle on the last day before lockdown 2, so I'm not sure that would be like any other typical day. We wanted to have steak, so were recommended by a friend that Macmillans would be the place to go in Worthing.
The music was a bit louder than what my uncle would have liked it to be, but we were sitting on a corner, so we could still hear each other talk.
The servers seemed very busy, so service was a bit slow; nonetheless they were all friendly and helpful.
They didn't have the bottle of red wine we ordered, but offered to give us a more premium one for the same price, which was such a nice treat. The wine was amazing! It was a Malbec Matías Riccitelli Tinto de la Casa.
We both ordered a fillet steak, which took about 45 minutes to arrive; but when it did - oh my God - it was so delicious! Well worth the wait. My uncle's side of chips came wrong, but we didn't bother letting them know as we didn't want to wait and were too busy with our amazing steaks.
We also ordered desserts that came wrong, but whatever it was that we had, was also delicious, haha.
At some point at the end of the evening, as it got closer to 10pm, the music got really loud, people started cheering, the lights started flickering and everyone was served a shot of tequila. I don't think that would happen on a typical evening, but that was the cue for us to go.
All in all, it was a good experience as the food as so delicious and exactly what we were looking for.
Perhaps not the place I would go with my uncle again, but lively enough to come with friends my age.

Food was lovely apart from they didn’t have some items due to closing down for a month which I understand.
Was put very close to another couple even though social distancing is in place.

Far too noisy. Toilets were dirty, tables crammed together and music far too loud. Food is very over priced for what you get!! Need to decide if want to be a restaurant or a cocktail bar.
No hand sanitiser anywhere and no obvious COVID rules being followed.

Lovely date night with amazing food and cocktails. Very friendly staff. Very noisy where we sat near the bar as the music was quite loud and cocktails being made, so wasn't a very relaxing evening but still a great night out.

I went with a friend and of course we had to try the fillet steak. It was expensive but well worth it, a side of Mac and cheese, fries and the salad all worked amazingly together. The wonton were somewhat underwhelming but it didn't affect the experience. Staff friendly and helpful with great wine pairing knowledge.

Lovely food and staff were lovely. It was busy so service was a bit slow. Also it was SOOO loud in there we couldn’t really hear eachother, or the staff. Only gripe was that we shared the t bone steak but they brought out the smallest side plates to eat off. We couldn’t really be bothered to ask for a bigger plate but it Was like eating off a saucer. Also the small plate (which we thought were starters) came out with the mains but we assume it’s perhaps to speed up service with the 10pm curfew. We also had the truffle salad but it was really not worth £7 and consisted of mainly kale. Would recommend tho and would go again.

Service was terribly slow, one hour for 2 tiny starters, two hours for main despite restaurant being quiet and menu very limited ( 3 starters, two roast options and one pudding).

Table service only but no one checking if we needed drinks despite long wait for food. Disinterested staff standing around ignoring us. When food finally arrived the waitress asked what condiments we wanted but failed to bring them. Coffee machine wasn't working but were offered iced coffee. This wasn't brought to the table either so had to chase up waitress again.

Food itself was decent, (very good sticky toffee pudding) fairly expensive for what we got. Service was so poor, and the toilets were revolting. I understand that family of 4 is not their normal demographic, eclectic art work fine but toilets didn't even flush. Seen cleaner loos at a festival.

We had an amazing takeaway from Macmillans during lockdown and were keen to visit but after that experience will not be returning ever again nor recommending to anyone. Very disappointed.

When you pay over £50 per head for food and drinks you expect a certain level of service. This place doesn't meet it.
We waited nearly 2 hours for our food to be served then got rushed out during our main course as they had to shut at 10pm.
Won't be going back.

Disappointing as the starters and mains turned up together, we asked that the mains be served after a reasonable amount of time to enable us to eat the starters but were told the kitchen was busy and this was not possible!!
No complaints about the quality of the food although fairly pricey , situation handled poorly, was hoping for better as came highly recommended.

Mixed feelings about Macmillans. It took about 10 mins to be asked for a drink order and once ordered it took 15 mins for the drinks to come, we could see the drinks sitting on the bar waiting to be served. The music was so loud we almost had to shout at each other to be heard . The service was generally poor and the staff seem disinterested, when paying a reasonable price for the food and drinks you would expect service to be welcoming and efficient, this was unfortunately not the case. The redeeming feature of the visit was the food itself. The steak was beautifully cooked and all sides dishes were delecious. On reflection I can’t see myself heading back to Macmillans, which is a shame... if there were a more positive welcoming attitude from the waiting staff and were the music turned down a little you could vastly improve the experience as your food is excellent.

Been meaning to come here for a while since having a burger during full lockdown. It didn’t disappoint. Came for the roast dinner and it was as good as the pictures look. Loads of delicious beef and a good variety of vegetables which all tasted amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive and appeared Covid save and aware. Will definitely return.
