Lovely atmosphere, great food, great wine. Will definitely go back spending all the money once this Pandemic is over! Good luck ❤️
The most tasty nut roast!! Highly recommend for a Sunday lunch.
It was fab, best food in a whike. We will be back .
Best veggie roast and service in recent memory. Highly recommend
Sunday lunch and roasts were out of this world! Porchetta, i'll never forget ya!
Service and communication between them was a little strange though - we had waitresses ask the same questions - "drinks?" "food?" "dessert?" minutes after we had just ordered with another. We think that led to an apple tart taking 30-40 minutes to arrive after ordering. Some of the party thought part of the tart was a little burnt too, but didn't want to complain due to having to wait even longer for it.
The food was fantastic, and the staff were super friendly - chatty without being over the top. Loved it, and will be back.
food and service amazing as always, the veggie nut roast was incredible!
Amazing food, thank you!! Hope to come again soon xx
Great staff, service and vibe! Highly recommend for birthday or a date.
Hands down best roast, fun service, chilled environment and best desserts. Looking forward to another Sunday at Pigg to come
Amazing food! Go for the roast you won’t be dissapointed.
Food, staff, atmosphere all was great. First but not last time will eat there.
Hey Valentina, That's great to hear! Thanks for supporting us and we look forward to having you in again soon!
Really great local interesting restaurant love to see small independent places do well!
Hey Amanda! Thanks for the support! We wouldn't be doing so well if it wasn't for our local support! Hope to see you again soon!
Always superb food, excellent service, great vibe. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely dinner with my boyfriend the Saturday after Valentines. Since finding Madam Pig on Instagram I’ve been seeing nothing but amazing reviews so I’ve been desperate to try them out, especially as they’re located on the beloved Kingsland Road. We had oysters and the prawns to start, followed by bread and olives (the best olives I’ve ever had!) and for main the cote de boeuf 🤤 and two bottles of wine. Considering I haven't eaten red meat for 10 months, it was 1000% worth the cheat day! There were a couple points in the evening which I feel could’ve been improved but as I’ve waitressed at small local restaurants myself, I could absolutely understand how it may have happened and was dealt with brilliantly. I’m not writing this as a criticism but for other readers of this review to consider this if they ever dine in a restaurant like this. As we were brought the menu, the waitress rightly told us that they had run out of duck on the menu - which we were obviously sad to hear, nevertheless it didn’t bother us too much. However, as we were having our delicious cote de boeuf, the couple next to us who had sat next to us later both had the duck dish. To which my boyfriend then pointed out to me and he felt a little disappointed. I spoke to the chef to give our compliments and explained the situation with the duck to which he expressed how he makes everything fresh and that the kitchen is very small, it was just unfortunate that at the time of our arrival a batch of duck had already sold out, therefore the next batch was being cooked and wasn’t ready until much later.
I hope that if this happens to anyone else in any restaurant, that they would understand and that it doesn’t affect their experience at Madam Pig in a negative way.
I want to finish by saying, dining at Madam Pig absolutely reached my expectations after following these guys for a while and I can’t wait to eat there again and see there new refurbishment!
The food was pretty good but it took 2.5 hours to serve two courses. Service was very forgetful and chaotic. And not far off £60 a head with one bottle of wine between two and no dessert. Not brilliant.
Very disappointed with overall experience. There has been a lot of hype around this restaurant and it did not deliver. Left for a long time with no drinks and main courses took nearly 2 hours to come, and when they did come I wasn't particularly impressed for the prices they were charging. The side of carrots and potatoes were stone cold by the time they got to us but we were so fed up with waiting at that point we didn't send them back. Staff were absolutely hopeless and actually ended up giving our order to another table. You could audibly hear a fight coming from the kitchen and one of the chefs walked out half way through service.
Perfectly attentive, friendly waiting staff and excellent food - the chicken schnitzel main was gorgeous. Great to have this restaurant in the neighbourhood and seems to attract a crowd at peak times.
Excellent...Service and food amazing. Beef sunday...winner. Good wine choice from waitress also. Will be back again.
We came to Madame Pigg for my girlfriend's birthday, we'd wanted to dine here for several months by this point and came with an expectation bouyed by an entertaining instagram account. The food, service and overall feeling of the night exceeded expectation. From Starter to dessert, we couldn't fault the food's flavours, Sian's Mussel's were the best she's ever eaten and my Porchetta was something else — ridiculous mix of meat, fat and crackling, with a marrow gravy to die for, perfectly cook green beans and serious, and I mean SERIOUS roast potatoes. Service was relaxed but attentive — we were served by all members of the team, all of whom were different personalities but equally as accommodating, friendly and helpful. Decor and ambiance is quirky, relaxed, we arrived at 730 whilst about half full. All in all a great night and an birthday meal — the staff all sang happy birthday to Sian, which got the whole room singing along — to remember. We'll be back to try the rest of the menu in 2020.
Love this place! My whole family has visited this spot and would highly recommend for any occasion!
Unbelievably noisy on a Friday evening when the restaurant was full. Very difficult to have a conversation due to this. Young friendly staff and nice food but overpriced for the area, décor.
Might be better for Sunday lunch which seems popular and I would consider trying this, but I would not return for dinner. Appreciated being able to order wine by the glass.
Magical food cooked from the heart, all delicious and wonderful team of staff to look after us. A really fun place for a great evening out.
Hi JaneC! Thanks for the lovely review! We're glad you had a great evening! From all of us at MP
Amazing Sunday Roast & a very chilled, quirky atmosphere!
Staff really accommodating all lovely! lovely wine and amazing food we had the prawns and pork roast, best prawns and best roast we’ve ever had, looking forward to coming back for an evening meal to try more of what Madame pigg has to offer!
Loved it!! The muscles starter was out of this world and the roast dinner was just AMAZING!!!!
Can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend to friends and family.
Amazing food and very friendly staff, would highly recommend!
Favourite roast in London!
The food is incredible and we’ve been here a few times and taken family because we love it so much, but feel as if the service this time round really let this visit down.
The best vegan roast I've ever had, would highly recommend.
Food was amazing as per usual, the service and vibes are great. Best place in east London
My one of my favourite restaurants in London! Adam produces stunning food whilst his staff go above and beyond for every table.... a must visit
Staff were lovely, it was so busy but they always had a smile on their face. Great atmosphere. Food took a while to come out but we came at a really busy time. Food was cold but I still really enjoyed it. The meat was so tender and oysters were lovely.
Service is very attentive, although we had a handful of different people serving us throughout.
We had olives to start which we were slightly disappointed weren’t fresh and a roast each which was absolutely delicious, although quite cold.
Was extremely noisy and music was quite loud, although I think this and the food temperature was probably as a result of how busy it was (multiple Christmas parties about).
Would be interested to return at a different point in the year.
Great food and vibe!
The best roast in London, without a doubt! The ambience and decor is second to none, as is the food, wine list and, importantly, the staff - especially Charlotte who couldn’t do enough for us. We’ll be back (again and again), Madame Pigg!
Cosy restaurant with fantastic food. Great addition to Dalston
Delicious food and wine. Friendly and attentive service.
Cute neighbourhood restaurant. Just a bit on the pricey side for the neighbourhood.
It’s a nice warm space with good lighting and good music. Staff are casual and friendly. The food was pretty good but not exceptional.
The starters were great, but my vegetarian main was a bit half hearted (a slab of puff pastry with ricotta and figs) for £16...
