Lovely restaurant and the food was great with lots of it. Great value for money. My only criticism is the food is served too quickly between each course. We had finished our starter and then the main course was immediately given to us straight after. Its good to get a 10/15 minute break to let the food settle. Wouldn't stop us going back though, the staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome.

First time visiting in a long while and my husband and I were very pleasantly surprised. We both had the steak pie and it was delicious. Great portion sizes and cooked to perfection.

My two friends didn't like there French toast as the bread was too thick and said it tasted more like cake than French toast but I still had to pay for the two even though not much was touched I had pancakes which were very dry I come into maggies all the time for lunch or dinner and have never had any bad thing to say but breakfast wasn't my favourite sorry and thick the French toast bread is too thick so the egg just soaks in to it x

Felt the service was very slow.Food was okay I had salt and chili chicken and tbh it was just tempura with couple bits of onion and carrot etc on top quite disappointed.

Waited 40 minutes for our breakfast which was supposed to be made fresh to order. Bacon was burnt and cold sausage was same. Rest of items were just hot. Gave us our pot of tea 30 minutes before the meal so it was cold when meal eventually arrived.

Booked for 7.30 and when we arrived told kitchen closed at 7.45 which seemed so early. Starters were good main was tempura and undercooked batter. Lights switched off in parts and definitely felt we were holding the staff back from closing up. Although they were very nice we had to continue our night at another venue from 9pm onwards. Usually book longhouse or the duke wanted to try somewhere different and will stick to them in the future. Maybe somewhere for a quick dinner but not somewhere I would book again.

Best value breakfast in Kilmarnock - good fresh produce - meaning you have a wait till it’s served. Only thing that lets it down is presentation. Piled high on a plate that’s obviously to small - need to look at this and serve on bigger plates. However this small complaint won’t stop us from returning.

The food was nice and lovely staff only thing was being told we only had two hours whilst we were sat at table because my daughter and her boyfriend were running a few minutes late i thought that was a little rude as i was already aware of our time limit before coming

I love Maggies, never had a bad meal, always fantastic service from lovely staff. Was in on Saturday for dinner with a couple of friends and our table was through the back near where the toilets are. That's the first time I've been seated through there. It was pleasant enough, table laid out and comfy chairs but the only downside was we were sat right below the speaker and unfortunately the music was, we all felt, a bit too loud. I'm not sure if it was loud throughout the rest of the restaurant but certainly that night, at that particular table it was less ambient & a bit too loud for us to have a general conversation. To be fair, it hasn't put me off as the food and service was as brilliant as always but I think next time I book, I'll be checking to make sure we're not sat below the speaker again. Looking forward to going back!

Food and cocktails were delicious zero complaints from my whole party and the ambience was lovely, staff attitude could do with some adjustment a lot of face pulling and eye rolling behind customers backs not what I would expect when people are spending a lot of money.

Have been a few times now hoping each visit would be better but have been disappointed. Food is very average, one of my party got chunky chips instead of fries, my salad garnish dressing was so hot with chilli that my mouth was on fire, my chicken was dry and the batter on my onion rings was extremely thick. The best thing was, we waited so long for our sweets that we weren’t charged for them. Seriously lack any atmosphere, won’t be rushing back anytime soon. 🙁🙁🙁

Once again lovely meal . My husband and I usually go for lunch and only disappointment yesterday was that they have taken my favourite dish - penne carbonara with chicken - off the lunch menu! ☹️ It’s still available on dinner menu. Plenty of other choices on lunch menu so I won’t be stuck for something to eat!
