really average food which you would normally pay for no more than £10 for a main meal but because of the touristy location, really pricey for what it is and the whole thing doesn't feel authentic. The lady who served us was lovely but that was the main highlight. If you need a quick bite to eat pre-theatre then it's ok but wouldn't recommend for other occasions.
Food was decent, nice atmosphere. Good service.
Ordered a shisha which wasn't too great and overpriced. Wouldn't recommend doing shisha here.
Biggest vegan menu I've seen with loads of variety and really tasty. Thank you! No risk of going hungry here. Big portion sizes and impeccable service. A bit on the expensive side but that's due to central location.
I've been here three times and never been dissapointed.
Very friendly and attentive staff, quick serving and great food consulting. The food itself was rich, well cooked and nicely presented.
Attentive staff and a good meal too. The room was a bit cool
loved the food, tried the aubergine starter and the spicy fish - delicious ! Definitely a place in my book when eating out in Central London. Service was great too !
Good food in heart of Leicester Square . Loved the chicken liver
Nice Lebanese food restaurant but with something for all ages
Waiter hassled us about food choices and prices; we understand things cost money; no need to remind us “that is extra”
All considered; the food taste and quality was great.
As it was very cold and for some reason the waiters walk in and out and a lot the door kept opening which blew a breeze around the restaurant so we were chilly for most of the dinner. I felt like the waiters were a bit too attentive - to the point they would be walking slowly past watching us to see when there would be an empty plate so they can swoop in and take them. The portion sizes are quite small for how much you are paying - this is not a homely middle eastern place where you get huge portions for good prices - expect to pay a premium price! However the food tasted really good and it was nice for our birthday occasion.
Service and food were brilliant from the get go. Everyone was catered to and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The food was served with care and attention too, was plentiful and tasty.
I’d definiely go again.
There were way too many staff serving us. The door guard and around 5 or more people overwhelming us. At the door, it was unfriendly as if it was some exclusive place only to find the restaurant was rather empty. Interior was nice but the service was uncomfortable and food was average for the price
Good food, average service, but really overpriced! Comptoir libonais much better.
Food was nice but expensive for the amount on the plate.
Also it was very cold where we were sitting near the door. Staff moved us once but not much improvement unfortunately
Food was alright but slightly cold...
Service was good.
Not a bad experience but nothing to write home about.
I'd try somewhere else next time.
Good location but over priced. Food and service OK but no ambiance in restaurant
The restaurant was really nice , staff and location.
The only thing the lam Kabab when it was served was not really hot enough. All others were excellent
A nice cosy place with lots of mediterranen culture. Food was great (a little pricey than usual); would recommend going
Nice food, nice decor. Strangely, they had the BBC Pointless TV programme on in the background, which detracted from the otherwise good ambience. Very pricey. Think you could get similar food for a better price.
Excellent service with lovely food, drinks a little costly but great for a special occasion.
Cosy restaurant, so much good lebanse food. Nice enviroment and so friendly personal. Really recommend this restaurant i right in Leicester Square.
Food excellent, staff so helpful and happy to help if you have never tried before
Quite pricey for some meals. Do not recall seeing a notice for a mandatory service charge being automatically added to the bill. Was too late to dispute. Good choice of menu and lovely interior. The Waiter was useful in giving recommendations, but main meals did not arrive together. Restaurant itself was quite cold, despite being seated towards the back.
Non-authentic and very disappointing. Over-priced for quality and quantity.
Excellent service, excellent food and great atmosphere. I recommend it to anyone whether they are familiar with this type of cuisine or new to it; they are in for a pleasant experience.
I really love the place specially the food was amazing... the staff was so nice and good price point.
Amazing food that made mine and my companies evening very good. The service was also great and our waiter help us to choose a nice wine that was a good match with the food we picked!
Great food, ambience and service. A little bit pricy but the quality and quantity of the food more than makes up for this.
Amazing food...good ambience...attentive staff...enjoyable.
There is a perfect dinner with my family. I want to come back in this restaurant.
The food menu has a wide variety and delicious. The service is very fast, but not rushed. The wait staff if warm and friendly. We’ve eaten here many times and plan to return when in town
Very good, enjoyed the outside space and listening to the buskers in Leicester square! Will definitely be going back.
Had a lovely dinner, great service even though my guests were slightly rude which I would like to apologise for as made me feel so embarrassed. Will definitely return soon !
Not recommended I'm afraid.
Took an age to order, and the place was half empty so inexcusable. Hot starter came up within about 5 mins of ordering, and was luke warm. Ran out of "local" beer. Main courses were enormous (which is good) but again, tepid at best. However the mains came up within seemingly seconds of the starter being cleared. We'd only been sat 15 minutes and we were into our main course - not the leisurely pace we had anticipated.
Flavours were good. Service slow. £92 for 2 people with a drink each was steep (including the obligatory service charge) - but that invariably includes the "Leicester Square tax"
You'll find better food in terms of value and quality elsewhere. Shame.
We started the cold mezze selection which was outstanding, especially the aubergine dishes and labneh. We then ordered some dishes from the hot mezze menu which were good (spinach boreks especially so) but a little underwhelming. Service was friendly and very attentive without being intrusive. It's quite a lively and glitzy place - on Friday nights there is live music and a belly dancer though this seemed genuine and heartfelt, rather than a touristic gimmick. However, I did think that, for what we had, it was overpriced.
Great new Lebanese place with outside tables, cool interior and extremely friendly service. Given the location - about the only restaurant on Leicester Square - the food was surprisingly good and prices very reasonable. We had a selection of cold mezze plus a few other veg dishes (both hot and cold), all of which was far more interesting than the rather dull touristy 3 course 'deal' and worked out about the same £. The waiter even threw in a free glass of prosecco each (just as well as the only real disappointment was the beer selection - they need to wake up to the craft beer revolution in London!). They are opening a 2nd branch in Kingston On Thames shortly, apparently.
This place is awesome! Very good food, reasonable prices, and the staff is amazing.
Didn’t get off to a great start and remained that way for the duration of the night.
Waiter/security appeared to get irritated that we took our time to decide on the orders (Was responding to a mic/earpiece stating that he had already asked the table if we were ready to order quite loudly).
Service was rushed. Food was bland and didn’t seem fresh or flavoursome. Our plates were tidied away in a rush before everyone had finished.
Maison Du Mezze is in a prominent location in Leicester Square with outdoor seating available with heaters for when the temperature drops.
We had Open table's pre-theatre meal which was a real bargain at less than £20 each for three courses and a drink. You need to specify you are having this option as it is a separate menu.
The food came in generous portions, was delicious and the service was attentive but not over the top. The falafel was particularly good and we both enjoyed a pot of mint tea to finish the meal.
The decor is modern but it does have a Lebanese feel with small rugs on the ceiling and lamps and cushions adding to the atmosphere.
