Great food and good service. Was the only restaurant in The Ned that was quiet which made the ambience a little odd.
Really good food, wide selection of options for raw, vegan, veg, fish and carnivore to all enjoy. Like the space which is to the side of the huge bar area. Casual yet stylish. Very atmospheric.
Taco Tuesday was great. Really fab value for money and everything was delicious.
Amazing food as always
Arranged to meet my sister for lunch as we work close to each other in London. We were seated along a long bench with very limited space and it was really noisy. I ordered a salad from the main menu and found it to be smaller than most salads starters in other establishments. I ended up grabbing a sandwich from the supermarket on my way back to the office! Over priced, cramped and noisy. We won’t be returning.
We specifically requested a booth table a week in advance as my family . I arrived for the waitress to inform me that someone has been in twenty minutes earlier to request a booth table and that she had given it to them. I said that she should have told them it had already been reserved a week in advance and she said there was nothing she could do - even though the guest had booked a table for later than our reservation. The waitress was extremely unapologetic and rude and gave no reason for giving the table we specifically requested away. We eventually were sat at cecconis but were told we could only be sat there for forty minutes. Terrible service.
Lovely. Would definitely go back. Well worth it. However £24.95 for two Gin & Tonics for the bar outside the restaurant was a disappointment.
I booked the Malibu Kitchen as my sister in law was visiting from up north and is vegan. My husband and I have been to The Ned a few times and loved it. Unfortunately not the warmest reception when we arrived. I did request a booth when booking as I’m 6 months pregnant but we were sat in the middle section on stools. We went with the taco set menu which was pretty good, the chocolate cake was by far the best part! Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest (maybe having a bad day) but did help with my husbands egg allergy letting him know what he could and couldn’t have. Overall a bit underwhelming although the setting itself in The Ned is fantastic.
Tasty food, but overpriced - paying for the venue. Maitre d’ was pinickity about seating - booked a table for two but ended up having a friend join, so we’re moved to the sharing table - told we had a strict 1.5 hours, but it wasn’t busy and didn’t get busy, so didn’t matter in the end.
Lovely server, attentive to us all evening.
A nice place to take someone for an occasion/someone who is visiting London.
Beautiful setting with exquisite food!
Great service and quality of food.
Maybe the many could have more options. I felt I was too small
Over priced poor quality food. Terrible staff could not get rid of us quickly enough
I thought the Tuesday tacos deal was great value for money. The portion sizes were good and there were lots of options catering for all. It has a great ambience too with the live music from the main banking hall. Overall, really enjoyed it.
The Ned is a beautiful venue, and so is this place, if a little set back from the action. Staff were very keen to remind us that the table was only ours for 1.5 hours which changed the mood a bit. We tried the Taco Tuesday menu which is good value and the food very nice, otherwise would be quite pricey.
I dont like being seated on the central bench opposed to the booths I've historically sat at
Very healthy food. Felt really light when leaving. Which is good.
The food was the only good part of the experience and even then we had to send one dish back as the salad leaves still had mud on them. Very poor service and as it was quiet no one even bothered to check we were ok. We were celebrating two birthdays and told the server who made no comment. Drinks took forever to come.
Great atmosphere especially with live music on a Thursday evening. Food and service was great too.
Great food and service but maybe the music can’t be lower a bit. It was very difficult to have a proper conversation without shouting across the table.
Went on a Thursday night. Incredible building/decor, lovely food and nice service. ..But far too noisy!!!
The cod was very dry and plain with little taste. No interesting garnishing etc. One of our guests got the wrong order of food but we didn't change. Slow service. Very expensive for a dry piece of fish. The Ned has a great atmosphere and I've had good experiences with the other restaurants.
My only issue with eating at The Ned is the difficulty in finding your specific restaurant! A server at the entrance directing would have been useful as we looked round almost every restaurant before finding the Malibu kitchen!
I went for breakfast there and was great but dinner not - small pricey portions and not tasty. Got basically 2 fried fishfingers for £15 and tiny dessert on paper base for £8. My friend didnt like it either. Thats a shame because breakfast is awesome there!
Tasty and healthy food. Best panna cotta in London!
My favourite place in the ned though they have made some tweaks to the menu and I'm not sure its for the better.
Everything included in the Taco Tuesday deal is delicious! I had the tuna and beef tacos, and shared the sweet potato and guacamole sides, and the chocolate tart for dessert. Great service too.
Great food, great location and friendly yet professional service. A repeat visit on the cards!
Fresh and healthy options in a very beautiful venue. At night the Ned becomes noisy, good atmosphere but not for those looking for a quiet place
Ambiance was great, but food was lacking flavour. Taco Tuesdays is a good offer in theory but taste wise is doesn't hold up.
Always enjoy Malibu kitchen. This time we went for Taco Tuesday and added a green coconut salad for good measure to share. We overstayed our 1.5hr slot but were not kicked out. All made for a nice healthy midweek dinner!
Second visit to this eaterie in the Ned with my Vegan cousin. We share some plates - loved the scallops and raw chocolate cake - less keen on the sweet potato fries this time. Friendly staff and a nice buzzy atmosphere especially on Music Mondays
Service wasn't great nor was the food. Not the best for a premium restaurant!
Really nice - atmosphere was good, service was great and food was excellent
1st time at the Malibu Kitchen and the food and service was great! But shame we had to give up table after 1.5 hours. But overall great place to eat.. Thanks.
Not my personal style of food, I looked at the menu online and they didn’t give the same menu when we got there, so there wasn’t much to choose from food wise. It was a lot louder than expected so for an anniversary dinner it wasn’t romantic to have to shout at each other.
Maybe it was my poor choice as a vegetarian but a main course described as a forbidden rice bowl was a salad into which very little thought had gone. I presume it was called forbidden rice by the absence of rice. Very strange description. The fish main course chosen by my fellow diner was rather lonely on its plate too. Very disappointing
I could eat at this restaurant everyday and not tire. The menu is varied to suit all preferences with unusual combinations to inspire. Courgette and Almond flatbread a must. We grazed on a variety of unusual salads with amazing flavours. Could have done with spoons to transfer the salad from the serving dish to our plates but this was quickly remedied. We ordered their home made shakes - cold brew coffee with mocha and dates which was outstanding...although rather bemused that it is served in a PLASTIC BOTTLE - why ??? - they say that its pre made - ok i get that but serve in a glass for heavens sake. Dessert we shared raw chocolate cake with raspberries.. faultless. I would be happy to eat breakfast lunch tea and supper in the Malibu Kitchen every day for ever..
Enjoyable evening, good service and tasty food. Quite close seating with others around you and a noisy environment in the open plan building, with a musician playing.
