As vegans we were really impressed with the food here. Service was just OK; staff need to learn how to smile. Despite the dreaded virus, many people were at The Ned, and it was pretty loud, but vibrant. Would definitely go back for the food...
One of the best restaurants I have visited in a long time. Truly outstanding location and amazing vegetarian food. I have already booked to go again in a couple of months for a birthday celebration.
I am not vegetarian but I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great central City location. Decor and ambience was lovely. Recommended!
Went here for a birthday dinner with friends and we had a lovely time
Taco Tuesday is great reasonably priced mid week meal
Business breakfast. Good food, good coffee. But very expensive.
Very tasty food. We all had the taco Tuesday set menu which we thought was good value.
The side servings were large so worth sharing a couple. Would be nicer if you do choose 2 smaller sides rather than the 1 large.
Good service.
Small area but worked.
Helpful servers.
Overall lovely meal
Great for business breakfasts / lunches. Good menu and excellent service
Lovely food. However, a warm martini in the smallest glass I have ever seen and forgetful service.
Very helpful and attentive staff. Colourful, fresh, great quality food. Slightly pricey if going for just a lunch, but well priced for the setting and location.
Very good food and service as per usual. Couldn’t fault it!!
I found it strange that you couldn’t order any ‘extras’ like potatoes for your meal, which lead me to choosing something different as the chicken I’d originally chosen didn’t come with anything else
I'm not sure if I would recommend
I have quite a few Intolerances and on the website there is no mention of the menu being tapas share dishes. I think this is important!!! As especially myself not eating meat, being intolerant to lactose, gluten, alot of fructose there is not much I can eat. Booking this restaurant I booked in upon option assumption that the whole bass was a main dish. When being sat down there were 3 dishes not being served due to being sold out and this was only 2.30pm. We were not told when being sat that this is a share menu, knowing this I would have gone somewhere else. That was disappointing. And I feel for what is it the prices are alot. I realise you are paying for the venue for the ned too, but to charge £15 for a Irish coffee and £9 for a small slice of cake is quite extreme. I feel the cake should have been £6-7 max and the Irish coffee £9 max..
I will come back to the bed but not to Malibu I dont think
It was a shane as it was a special lunch with my mother.
The manager was quite rude, seemed understaffed. The food wasn’t great - quite disappointed. Overall experience was that it was ‘ok’.
I found it very busy, very noisy when like 80% of the tables are to share. Food is average while price is top range. O do recommend salad that are much better than main course like burger or fish.
Go for the more exotic dishes...then you have a great meal
Fabulous Food in a beautiful setting and the Live music a Joy
The food was good but could have done with more garlic and coriander.
Very punctual service, polite and efficient. Food arrived really quickly and was very well prepared and presented. The Sea Bream Taco was the best Taco since eating them in San Fransisco! The location is amazing, and well worth a visit, the old banking hall has been transformed into an amazing space for relaxing, eating and drinking. The lice jazz is a nice touch too.
Poor service, incredibly slow
Excellent venue of course and overall buzz at midweek lunch. Great idea to put in a California kitchen of which there are few in London strangely enough. Refreshing/original menu selection, though not extensive. Pity the fresh juices are bottled and not prepared locally. Service not particularly attentive.
Cod was like it's been fried twice from frozen. Not acceptable.
Wonderful service and really great food!
Corner of calm in a busy Sunday service at the Ned. Healthy, clean food. Pleasant service. Largely plant based menu.
Everything about the experience was excellent. The food was sensational. The setting and service were top class.
Not very good. Small, expensive portions delivered to you by people who don't like you very much.
Lovely food, nice layout of tables enabled private discussions. Quite expensive though.
The Tacos for Tuesdays were better than I thought they would be.
Great service.
Sea bream tacos just the best, lovely restaurant l
All good except table reservation is ONLY for 1 hr 15 minutes
Nice setting, good food, efficient service .. perfect place to meet friends
We've been here before and really like it but today the service was really slow - from taking orders to getting the bill, it all took way longer than it should. Hopefully it will be better next time.
The Ned is an amazing venue with a variety of great restaurants of which Malibu Kitchen is one. Excellent customer service, brilliant food and all round just a nice vibe to it. Will be back!
Very nice venue, but a bit dark and noisy. Nice for groups, but maybe not suitable if you are looking for somewhere for a quiet chat.
Food was fabulous at the Malibu as was the service. The only downside was the very low lighting which meant firstly you couldn’t easily read the menu ( we had to hold a candle to it to see) secondly what a waste of beautiful food if you can’t see it!!
The food was excellent - we loved it! The staff were very helpful too. A great birthday experience.
Amazing dinner, really nice food and ambience! I will surely go back soon!
Amongst the vastness of the NED, Malibu Kitchen felt intimate and cosy
The staff are friendly and attentive
It would feel ideal to eat there for both a business meeting and for personal reasons
Being only a minute walk from Bank station means it’s ideally located
I can’t fault it at all
Lovely little lunch spot for the mermaid in your life. Friendly staff, excellent value, possibly my favourite spot in town?
Great service and professional attention given. Also very accommodating should one have additional or special dietary needs
