The biggest issue I had at here is the seating. I had to sit on a sofa which meant that the dining table level was at my chest height. This is really uncomfortable for eating and meant that my dining companions, who were on proper chairs , towered over me. I had to sit on a pile of cushions in the end and the response I got for the staff when I raised the issue was pretty ambivalent. If you run a restaurant, and you want tour guests to be comfortable, please use dining chairs! It also got noisier as the night went on to the point were we were shouting at each other to be heard. Not great. The food was good, my starter of eggplant was really tasty and I though the cost was a bit on the high side for what it was but not outrageously so.

Really cool place to go out to. It was a Halloween party/dinner and you could tell they put a lot of thought into it. The staff were friendly and gave us great recommendations for food and wine, after dinner cocktails were delicious. There was a party going on with people dancing, great music too, yet it wasn’t too noisy. Amazing night, well done guys!

Great space for a special occasion with a lot of people. But we thought it was a bit overpriced for what you get. Especially the alcohol. We had a lovely time though, celebrating a special family birthday.

Good for groups. We went into the garden room as a family because it was quieter. Food was average. Cocktails average. Service was OK but we were left with our dinner plates for ages without clearing. Atmosphere, decor and ambience were fantastic and the children enjoyed all the games.

It was very quiet on a Saturday night for some reason but we had a really good time. The service was great, so was the food. The restaurant itself is lovely, it’s very quirky and fun. Would love to try out the karaoke next time

A warm welcome on arrival, however the waitress was rushing the orders even though the garden area was quiet. We were only given one drinks menu for a party of 5, which we thought was strange. My Shashuka was over cooked and my brownie was cold and hard. My guests were also underwhelmed with the menu. But the decor was nice.

Restaurant was empty. Staff were attentive but food was really slow and when it arrived was Luke warm. One side dish that we had ordered never arrived. My other half ordered something that had truffle on it. There was no evidence of any truffle, I think it had been missed off! I would not eat here again which is a shame as the building is very cool.

As we were a big table the drinks took a long time to come and you could be sat there for a while with no drink. I don't think this would be an issue if we were a smaller group thou. Is still recommend as the drinks and food are really nice and it's an excellent value brunch

What a discover in Hackney! A fun dining :) The three of us loved the environment, vibe, furniture, music, staff, food.. everything! Ended up trying almost half menu and having “few” drinks.. so good! The range of chiose is wide, many veg options. Everything we had was super tasty and very well presented. Staff sweet and attentive, thank you guys! …We’ve also been captured by the streamed cartoons and arcade games XD See you very soon!

Mama offers an amazing vegan menu, we tried the ravioli, baos and the soups - they were so tasty! Also one of the best margaritas in town. Thanks to the staff who is super kind and professional, they made our night!

THE best roast dinner we have had at a restaurant!! Great service, nice relaxed atmosphere with games to keep children entertained. A must visit!! Can’t wait to return!

Very disappointed. Myself and my friend booked specifically to drink at the beautiful outside bar and were so excited as we had booked months in advance. When we got there the outside area had been booked for a private party. So we felt like we had been shafted after we had booked so long ago and we had travelled an hour to get there. It is such a gorgeous venue and I had loved it for my birthday so I wanted to go back. We just felt let down and were not given an apology. The venue called me a week before and when I called back they said they called me by mistake. When I told them this they said 'that wouldn't have happened' so we felt quite dismissed. It doesn't make sense to give the whole outside bar area to a party when people have booked already, so overall, disappointed.
