I was really looking forward to eating here, and I certainly wasn't disappointed!
All the food was delicious - I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Manchester!
We ate here as we were staying at the Hotel...we chose the set menu & had 3 courses.....there was plenty of choice & what we had was lovely. The service & atmosphere was also very good.
They put 10% service charge on your bill & had I known that maybe I wouldn't have ordered the expensive wine but you do get 20% off for concert persons but not on the set menu only a la carte.
Before our event at the nearby arena, we decided to visit the Mamucium for its close location, and were pleasantly surprised. We opted for the set courses, mainly salads which were freshly made and delicious. The apple crumble was a delight and not too sweet. My wife said the Americano coffee was the best she has tasted in a long time which is sourced locally according to the efficient and helpful waiter.
My choice of drink whilst eating out is water, so it was disappointing to receive bottled water that was not chilled. Having said that, we would definitely return and recommend the Mamucium.
Great food and service. Onion soup is delicious best I have had in a long time.
Best food I’ve had in a long time!
The restaurant is light and spacious, service good and the food was delicious, looking forward to a return visit
Fantastic food and great service. Catered to myself and my now fiance perfectly. Staff couldn't have done more for us.
Superb service, excellent choice of food and drinks.
Food was lovely, great deal including the bottomless brunch for £19.95! The drinks were also very nice. The only downside was the service was very slowly.
The hot pot was sublime, definitely worth trying, it was one of the best dishes I've eaten this year.
Lovely place, friendly helpful staff and great afternoon tea. Very accommodating when we requested a couple of changes. Definitely recommend.
Food was excellent
Water only served from a bottle and not left on the table was a bit tight
Service was good but an extra person was needed as there was a significant lag between a request and it being auctioned (sauces, more water, dessert order etc)
Hi Richard, I am very happy you found the time to write a review on your experience. It saddens me that the service was not up to our usual high standards, please be assured I will be discussing the feedback with the team. It would be great to welcome you back, I am sure all the team are as keen to make any future review a 5 star one as to us 4 star is not good enough. You can sign up to our newsletter and enjoy 20%off. I hope to hear/see you again, Zak, Food and Beverage Assistant
Lovely hotel, excellent staff and perfect location for Manchester Arena, only a few minutes walk. Also close to cinema, shops and restaurants. Will stay again !
Dear Roy , I am very happy you came and had a 5-star experience. Trust that I have shared your feedback with the team and that they are as delighted as myself. I am also pleased that the location suited your needs. Along with all the team I will be excited to welcome you back, Zak, Food and Beverage Assistant
Wanted somewhere near MEN for one night. This is a perfect location. Modern, very clean and friendly staff. Reception was busy, rooms not ready until 3pm. Ate at restaurant in the evening and couldn’t fault it. Breakfast was ok. Not really enough staff and we waited 20 mins before taking our order for cooked food and coffee. Think I’d just stick with continental next time, which is included in price. My vegetarian breakfast was tiny and not good value. Beds were comfy and good shower. We wanted a nightcap after the show, not a chance. The queue was to the door, again not enough staff....I’d stay there again when in Manchester.
We arrived and was greeted and taken to our seats, there was initial concern as the bar was quite loud but the restaurant was very quiet which raised red flags for a Sunday afternoon. Then we were told that the A la carte menu wasn't until later in the day so we were going to leave but they made an exception.
As it was my mums birthday we were greeted with a happy birthday and some glasses of prosecco.
The food was great and the drinks were delicious, the service was very good. I would go back for sure
Dear Damien, I remember your visit and apologise for the confusion with your menus. We are happy you took the time to leave us a review. We thought prosecco was the very least we could do to kick start the birthday celebrations. We would be very happy to see you return for the great food and delicious drinks. Hopefully next time we can give you the Mamucium experience which has left to so many 5-star reviews. Looking forward to your next visit, Zak, food and beverage assistant
Excellent location for the Arena, quiet clean rooms although quite small, overall let down by very poor check in expeience with lengthy queueing and complete chaos at breakfast with little or no organisation slightly compensated by friendly helpful staff.
Excellent all round experience. A warm welcome with cocktail suggestions from Zac while we waited for our table. Food was exceptional and service was fantastic from Ciaran who even went out of his way to serve off-the-menu desserts.
Would recommend and look forward to visiting again
Hi Calum, I remember your visit well and I am pleased you enjoyed the cocktails. All the best, Zak, Food and Beverage Assistant
I want to score it higher as it is a nice place in a good location. The food was good but the service really let it down.
Mamucium Restaurant ( inside Hotal Indigo ) serves the Best Food in Manchester .
Really enjoyed the first and recent visit. Ate from the set menu which had ample choice. All courses were lovely with good portion sizes. Prawn and crayfish tail cocktail to start, then fish and chips followed by cheese. The cheese is awesome. Only rated 4 stars as want to eat from the full menu next time, but I’m sure it’ll be a 5 star. Service was great and was not rushed at all. Will definitely return.

Fabulous food in a contemporary setting. Our only criticism would be that the waiter was too eager to fill our wine glasses and empty a bottle between 4 of us in one go!!!
Lovely meal in a great restaurant
Great to see that an iconic building in Manchester is being utilised combining it with an ultra modern new building
The food was world class. The staff are so nice. It was a great way to celebrate my birthday, treating my family with this fantastic experience.
Food is overpriced and the whole restaurant had a funny smell.
Really enjoyed our visit to Mamucium. Lovely surroundings, delicious meal, friendly & attentative staff. An added bonus was complimentary sorbet from the lovely chef as one of the mains ordered too longer to prepare - excellent customer service. Will be visiting again in the near future
Whilst we had an enjoyable time at this restaurant, I was expecting a better experience overall. Some menu items were unavailable; one of my party had to have his third choice main.
Was very busy as a concert was on at m.e.n. food was good plenty choice..service was quick no waiting at all..was pleasant..
Very busy evening due to Take That concert .
Food was excellent, service a little slow.
Only complaint really was that we were offered water and bread when we sat down and it wasn’t made clear this is extra charge. Charged for large bottle of water and only has one small drop each glasses were not topped up throughout the meal.
It’s an excellent place for a lazy Lunch with friends - perfectly placed for both shopping and trains. Worth the trip across from Yorkshire just to eat there!
Terrible service due to a shortage of staff. Waited to be seated for a while, then ages for drink. Loads of empty tables full of dirty plates and glasses. Staff were very unprofessional. Chefs all just around chatting. Will not be going again
This is a great restaurant, the food is delicious. I have visited several times and my only criticism on this occasion would be our particular waitress didn’t seem very experienced, she didn’t even offer us drinks. So therefore we just stick to table water... this was really odd. Other than that everything was excellent and we will be back
From us walking into the restaurant to being served the staff was always smiling, the food was lovely, my friends all enjoyed there time there as it was my second time, would highly recommend
Mamucium has been on our must-visit list for a while, and I'm so glad we finally booked in. everything about our Mamucium evening was superb, from the service to the exceptional food. Every course was simply delicious and my partner was particularly impressed with their perfectly cooked blue steak. It's not the cheapest of venues but it's clear you're paying for quality. We're looking forward to another visit in the near future.
Food was a classic uncomplicated british menu however managed to stand out in the quality...and we order lobster and steak! Pretty impressive to differentiate.
However despite the quality of the food, felt the service unwhelmed. Our setver was lovely and very accomodating however there was only 2 maybe 3 which made waiting times for drinks and orders noticeable.
I also found the ambiance a little ‘flat’, perhaps because they need to keep an amount of tables available for hotel guests?
Overall if i was a guest of the hotel i would be super impressed with the house restaurant. As a restaurant guest, i recommend the food to my friends but make them aware of the vibe.
For foodies a must though!
A lovely new restaurant in the Indigo Hotel, classy interior, incredibly good food, and very good team to serve you.
Great service. Very good food. Will come back again.
The service was great initially, but we requested a menu for further orders and nobody actually came back to see if we wanted to order anything. We also had to actively request the bill.
Other than that, the staff were really friendly and the food was lovely.
Great restaurant, staff were very attentive and recommended dishes to us, the decor and ambiance were lovely too, lots of nice little touches. Would recommend!
Food and service was exceptional quickly becoming fav place to eat .
Terrible layout of tables and sloppy service. Ugly furniture, put me in mind of castoffs from Gino D'Campo's and very little ambience. Our starters arrived before our wine, even those we waited a while for. Food/menu/wine all lovely and toilets very nice. Will not go back and will not recommend.
