Great food freshly prepared , cool ambiance and good service without wearing me out with “is everything ok?”
Try it... you’ll like it!!
We dined here "pre-theatre" and it was fine. My lasagne was very nice although my friend said her carbonara was a little tasteless (and quite a lot of money for a pile of spaghetti and one piece of pancetta!) We were seated upstairs on the balcony which was little soulless but we were happy just to catch up with chat.
The restaurant and staff were nice enough. Food was tasty but overpriced. We ordered 3 Tigella's each thinking they cost £9 for three. Found out when we got the bill which came to over £70 that we had been charged for each one individually. The waitress heard us talking before we ordered our lunch and did not point out that only certain Tigella's were 3 for £9. She also added something to the bill that we did not order. We pointed this out and she called the manager over who refunded us £4. They also charge 12.5% service charge automatically. I prefer to tip what I think the service is worth. Would we visit again, NO. Would we recommend this place, NO.
Qualità degli alimenti superlativa e ottimo servizio.
Una bellissima (e buonissima) scoperta!
Loved the cheese and meat boards here, there is also a pleasing and good value cocktail menu which we took advantage off. I've never tried a Tigella before either. They are tasty but also quite filling.
Service was very good, with the staff being very attentive. We were initially sat next to the bathroom and it was no trouble for them to move us when we asked.
Would be nice for a group.
Picked the value-for-money special set costing 12.5pounds. The food was REALLY good, out of my expectation. Will definitely come back.
Come sempre un incredibile qualità di prodotti e un servizio eccellente , grazie a Mirabai per la sua professionalità e simpatia ....
Ottimo ristorante super consigliato tigelle numero uno in assoluto 😊😊
Grazie di cuore a tutti da Arianna , Simone e Stefano
The food, as always, is amazing. I use to take the Parma board and I never get bored. Only thing I have to say... The music in the background... Please change your playlist 🙏
Chose this for a pre-theatre dinner and it was excellent. We were given plenty of time to order and our food was delivered speedily by polite, attentive and smiling staff. Just gone back to add another "star" to the value for money box, as we enjoyed both our "happy hour" cocktails and the very good house wine, both of which are good value. Hadn't tried tigellas before, and they weren't bad. Both my wife's seafood pasta dish and my own variant on fish and chips were excellent. Staff were very good, especially the young lady from Bologna!
Delicious tigella and nice vibe.
Ordered Parma board and was amazing! Excellent food quality
Visited before a show at the Dominion theatre. Staff really friendly explaining the tigella on the menu and we shared a board as a starter. The tigella are lovely and would have as a main in future. Main pasta portions were good size, not too large. Service really quick and happy hour on cocktails made it very good value.
A delicious lunch of home made pasta, tigella and fresh ingredients. We sat upstairs with a lovely waitress. The food was enjoyed by 3 generations, aged 14, 50 and 79 years!
Went for the Thursday Aperitivo night. Great value for money! Food was good and service was very welcoming:)
lovely wine, nice atmosphere. Was there for a meeting and they were happy to let us sit for some time over food and wine! Quite a quirky, cool venue worth checking out if you are local or in the area
Super friendly service (grazie Flavia!) and amazing food. It felt like being at home in Italy.
Me and my two friend had a table in the hi-top area, which we loved.
Thank you for the great evening.
Unfortunately we felt that our meal was very poor value. Small portions and no presentation / lasagne in a smallish ramekin. Seafood risotto very expensive and only one prawn and one mussel...I’m sure it was only meant to be prawn and mussel but had other seafood in it?! Our prawn tigella was delicious but only two prawns and a bit of avocado for £7!!!
I didn’t complain because we only had an hour before the theatre plus it was a special occasion.
My mother offered to pay as a treat but I felt bad for her as our meal was disappointing and really expensive for what it was.
The service was fantastic and we couldn’t fault the waitresses. I do hope the manager can do something for us to return again?
Beautiful food. Unique - only place selling traditional Italian Tigella in the UK. Pasta dishes delicious. Great service with good and knowledgeable explanation of the dishes on the menu.
Very good prosecco - by the glass or bottle.
Great location - 2 mins walk away from the Dominion Theatre . Highly recommend for pre or post matinee performances - or pre evening (not sure what time it closes.)
The food was quite tasty but the service was quite slow particularly when you take into account that the restaurant was not full. Reasonably priced with more of a cafe feel to the place than a restaurant.
Good location but menu options a bit limited and no real dessert options. Would be sensible to have a photograph on the menu of some of the food, so it is clear what the choices are. Chips were good and overall experience good, but at times, the waitress was a bit distracted.
Dinner was delicious, very nice selection served in a very typical way. Quite a treat, and the wine selection perfectly side all choices of mains and Tigelle. Service could surely be improved
Lovely concept for a restaurant : the tigellas were a treat, very tasty and not too heavy. Amazing how they can go well with both mushroom/gorgonzola and also lovely with nutella! The ambience was great - they were playing Peter Pan (with subtitles) on a massive screen when we arrived [so random] and then when it finished, changed it to Moana! Unique find, and great location for the Dominion Theatre.
great place for a cheeky cocktail before the theatre , waitress was fun and friendly.
with 2 for £10 cocktails ! , made properly it was a great find just round the corner
from the dominion theatre .
thoroughly recommend it ! (we didn't have any food )
Met up with friends for a pre-theatre meal. It wasn't obvious to find from the outside as the name sign looks more like a shop front but once we'd established we were in the right place we were pleasantly surprised by the selection of tigella fillings available, all very tasty - I would particularly recommend the tuna one. Also the 2 for £10 cocktails until 8PM was a welcome bonus.
amazing food, the waitress was perfect and I couldn't ask for a better experience.
This isn’t an Italian restaurant. The food quality was appalling and the service shocking. Avoid at all costs.
Starter was fun and good. Risotto was stodgy. Pannacotta was a little too set but coulis was delicious. Ambience was strange with huge screen with disney cartoons. It was near the Dominion theatre, which was why we chose it. It was Ok but not very good.
Booked early evening at Oxford Street branch prior to show at the Dominiom round the corner. Welcomed at door and shown to table in window that already had a 'Reserved' flag on it (don't always see that these days). Ordered bottle of wine from list and pleased to see very reasonable prices for this part of London (or anywhere else for that matter). Order for food taken and arrived without unreasonable delay. Food was delicious and portion sizes were good. The freshness of the food was obvious. The service was friendly, attentive and not intrusive or overbearing. Fresh, light and satisfying food that was very well priced, well served and presented, and ideal prior to an evening sitting down in the theatre.
My husband and I ate at Manitoba Tigella in September prior to seeing a musical at the Dominion Theatre, which is right around the corner. The waitress was great and didn't rush us. We started with the Parma Board which was excellent and very generous. (We had never had Tigella before and enjoyed our first introduction to it. ) My husband ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, and I had their Lasagna. Both were nice portions and very good. We had Cosmopolitans with the appetizers and wine with dinner. It was a memorable experience and I would definitely go back for another meal when in London again, especially when in the Theater District. I recommend this restaurant.
Been here few times now and always with my best pleasure!!
Excellent position, just five minute, from Tottenham Court station, minimal but good vibe ambient!
Will go bach again and again😊
This is a surprisingly pleasant little restaurant, excellent food (unpretentious but really good), friendly and attentive service, and amazingly good value. I would strongly recommend this little gem to anyone looking for an informal meal before going to the theatre, or just for a casual lunch. We will be going back, and soon.
I went to Manitoba tigella with my mum(81yrs old). we had such a lovely dining experience. just the right balance of cool, contempary interior and really friendly service. food fabulous. especially theburger tigella!
Lovely staff and amazing food! Very pleased with my first and no last experience at Manitoba Tigella. Will definitely be back soon!
Our server was really great. Very engaging and explained the whole menu (and wine list) to us. Food was really good. It's a cool space. We sat upstairs. Ideal for pre-theatre meal!
Great staff, lovely place and excellent food, I highly recommended.
Very nice tigella and lovely staff, tried the board with a lot of Amazing stuffs. Very cozy place and good taste of music as well!
Having heard about this new Italian restaurant Manitoba and working nearby I went there last Saturday with my wife and some friends. We got a nice big table upstairs. The food and wine were great as was the service which was prompt and discreet. Will be back soon.
Thank you Manitoba Tigella, it was amazing! Very nice tigella and a lot of well prepaired cocktails.
Its lovely restaurant. Good food, good wine but expect stuff to be slow. If your prepare for that then its a great evening.
This is one of the worst places I have ever been to. From the moment we walked in to the minute we walked out was horrible. The girl at the front looked at us strangely when I told her we had a reservation; We were seated at a table directly under the air conditioner blowing ice cold air. It was the only table that could seat the 3 of us as most tables were for 2.
There were water glasses at the table but we were never offered any water. After 10 minutes we were able to give our drink orders. My husband got his glass of wine but it took 40 minutes for the bartender and 2 waitresses to find the bottle of Franciacorta that I ordered. We were done with our appetizers before the bottle came and then they tried to convince me it was a half bottle for 85 pounds. When they finally found the right bottle I was brought 2 inappropriate glasses for the Champagne. After some convincing they finally brought me a flute
Now to the food. My daughter ordered a Margherita pizza only to be told they were out. Shaking my head in confusion I asked why only to be told that they are premade. Ok, this place is supposed to be Italian and they pre make pizzas. We then ordered her a veggie pizza and it arrived with its toppings soggy, no cheese on tough thick crust. I had a ceasar salad which was so salty I gagged not having water or Champagne at the table. My husband ordered the risotto and the sea bass, but decided to cancel the fish after the first course came out. One should not be able to mold risotto into a circle. It was dry and tasteless. I on the other hand decided that I would try the Carbonara The pasta arrived in the favorite molded shape topped with a thin slice of dried out bacon. Where there should have been a salty creamy rich sauce there was a dry tasteless glob of spaghetti devoid of flavor. The bacon on top had no taste either.I can't believe how this place has gotten good reviews. Perhaps Londoners have no idea of how Italian food should taste.
