The first Tigella Kitchen Bar in London is individualised by a welcoming environment with a unique identity where Italian tradition and innovation blend perfectly to present you with an extraordinary gastronomic experience.
Tigelle and gnocco fritto in London?? A dream <3 definitely recommended!
The food was not great and would not recommend coming here.
Shame is so purely managed as the food and the concept are both great.
The Manitoba cocktail is not worth the £20 on the menu, actually is a rip off.
Service was absolutely fantastic here and deserves a special mention! Smiling faces, very helpful at explaining he menu and the concept of the restaurant and suggesting wines. The food was a lot of fun and supremely tasty! Would definitely recommend!
The sharing platter consisted of mostly cold meats with a few cheeses and nothing particularly distinguishable. The tigella were just round pitta breads. Disappointing.
Belle carte, jolie décoration. Ambiance moderne et design.
Carte avec des plats italiens parfaitement réalisés. Produits de qualité et très bonne qualité de service, serveurs attentionnés.
Très bon spritz, à prix happy hour.
Loved this. Something new and different. Casual dining but great quality food and service
Lovely staff, we were well looked after.
Amazing food, Tigelle were amazing, the meat platter as well which included a superb Parma Ham, felino salami and mortadella.
We were really impressed of the atmosphere, we asked for a specific table and they provided us one.
I really recommend and I look forward to coming again.
Went here for my Mum’s birthday and the staff were really lovely and the food was great.
Great service, couldn’t believe how quiet it was for a Friday night! But that was nice
The carbonara was extremely delicious, they were a bit shy with the bacon. The tigella was nice but I couldn't eat more than one or two, next time I would go for a pasta dish and an individual tigella rather than a sharing board.
The atmosphere wasn't what i expected. The background music wasn't really traditional for an Italian place and they have a big screen in the restaurant replaying scenes of random people eating and drinking - odd. But the service was great, the waiters were very attentive and the wine was delicious.
Had a great night, service and food were top notch, had a great wine recommendation from the server. Really a hidden gem!
Great food but you don’t get so much. So when I had eaten I was still hungry:(
Great food and wine! I’d definitely go back there!
Much as I love Italian food, I hadn't known about the 'tigella'. It's a small, round 'bun', perfect for sandwiches and burgers and all sorts.............
They are smallish, true - and staff remind customers of that. I'd imagine that a hungry person might order two - and that'd be great value for a main course.
The ravioli with spinach was perfect, really delicate and full of flavour.
Cocktails - well, we'd had a tough hour or two looking at art - an excellent espresso martini, and a 'Hugo' - no, we had no idea either, so it was an experiment...........lovely, fresh and zingy.
I think the habit of having black & white, silent films on a huge screen is a bit cliched, and adds nothing to the provenance of the place. Maybe showing a [muted] Italian film - La Dolce Vita?
Staff are great. We'll be back.
Some unique food on offer, with good explanation by staff. Dessert was particularly good. The professionalism of the staff was great, but service was somewhat undermined by too few staff. Ultimately would happily go again.
Absolutely enjoyed every moment at Manitoba from the moment we were greeted to tucking into the amazing food. There is a great selection of food, all as delicious as each other. We were a table of 4 and had the mixed meat platter to start served with the famous Tigella and then we went for the pasta dishes as our main. For desert we had the gnoccho fritto with Nutella and the tirami su. Not expensive, and promise you will be going back. Well worth it.
I regularly eat out in London and rarely leave reviews. This was an evening catching up with my adult son who works near by. We wanted something a little different as it was a birthday gift for me. I am a vegetarian, he is a keen meat eater. He loves a burger, I like a salad :-). We both loved this restaurant. We had not had tigelle previously (despite many trips to Italy). We both really enjoyed it and were both impressed with our platters, one meat and one vegetarian of course. Our desserts were delicious. Everything was fresh and presented with care. The staff were very friendly and attentive but not too attentive. Perfect for us. The cocktails were great and they served beer that suited my son. The atmosphere was very pleasant, we did not feel at all rushed or squashed which can be the case in London. We had a lovely evening.
My son was pleasantly surprised when he received the bill and thought that the meal was extremely good value. We will definitely be returning and bringing friends and family :-)
Lovely food, we had a sharing platter - great making your own combinations.
The Nutella and pistachio on puffed pastry was delicious.
Absolutely loved this place. Decor is stunning, great fun music playing taking me back to my childhood (good for group). Then best of all a great value happy hour of amazing cocktail selection until 8pm (2 for £10) then delicious well presented food. The boards are great although quite pricey, it fit with the style of place. Out waitress was attentive and very good. Will definitely go again.
Great food freshly prepared , cool ambiance and good service without wearing me out with “is everything ok?”
Try it... you’ll like it!!
We dined here "pre-theatre" and it was fine. My lasagne was very nice although my friend said her carbonara was a little tasteless (and quite a lot of money for a pile of spaghetti and one piece of pancetta!) We were seated upstairs on the balcony which was little soulless but we were happy just to catch up with chat.
The restaurant and staff were nice enough. Food was tasty but overpriced. We ordered 3 Tigella's each thinking they cost £9 for three. Found out when we got the bill which came to over £70 that we had been charged for each one individually. The waitress heard us talking before we ordered our lunch and did not point out that only certain Tigella's were 3 for £9. She also added something to the bill that we did not order. We pointed this out and she called the manager over who refunded us £4. They also charge 12.5% service charge automatically. I prefer to tip what I think the service is worth. Would we visit again, NO. Would we recommend this place, NO.
Qualità degli alimenti superlativa e ottimo servizio.
Una bellissima (e buonissima) scoperta!
Loved the cheese and meat boards here, there is also a pleasing and good value cocktail menu which we took advantage off. I've never tried a Tigella before either. They are tasty but also quite filling.
Service was very good, with the staff being very attentive. We were initially sat next to the bathroom and it was no trouble for them to move us when we asked.
Would be nice for a group.
Picked the value-for-money special set costing 12.5pounds. The food was REALLY good, out of my expectation. Will definitely come back.
Come sempre un incredibile qualità di prodotti e un servizio eccellente , grazie a Mirabai per la sua professionalità e simpatia ....
Ottimo ristorante super consigliato tigelle numero uno in assoluto 😊😊
Grazie di cuore a tutti da Arianna , Simone e Stefano
The food, as always, is amazing. I use to take the Parma board and I never get bored. Only thing I have to say... The music in the background... Please change your playlist 🙏
Chose this for a pre-theatre dinner and it was excellent. We were given plenty of time to order and our food was delivered speedily by polite, attentive and smiling staff. Just gone back to add another "star" to the value for money box, as we enjoyed both our "happy hour" cocktails and the very good house wine, both of which are good value. Hadn't tried tigellas before, and they weren't bad. Both my wife's seafood pasta dish and my own variant on fish and chips were excellent. Staff were very good, especially the young lady from Bologna!
Delicious tigella and nice vibe.
Ordered Parma board and was amazing! Excellent food quality
Visited before a show at the Dominion theatre. Staff really friendly explaining the tigella on the menu and we shared a board as a starter. The tigella are lovely and would have as a main in future. Main pasta portions were good size, not too large. Service really quick and happy hour on cocktails made it very good value.
A delicious lunch of home made pasta, tigella and fresh ingredients. We sat upstairs with a lovely waitress. The food was enjoyed by 3 generations, aged 14, 50 and 79 years!
Went for the Thursday Aperitivo night. Great value for money! Food was good and service was very welcoming:)
lovely wine, nice atmosphere. Was there for a meeting and they were happy to let us sit for some time over food and wine! Quite a quirky, cool venue worth checking out if you are local or in the area
Super friendly service (grazie Flavia!) and amazing food. It felt like being at home in Italy.
Me and my two friend had a table in the hi-top area, which we loved.
Thank you for the great evening.
Unfortunately we felt that our meal was very poor value. Small portions and no presentation / lasagne in a smallish ramekin. Seafood risotto very expensive and only one prawn and one mussel...I’m sure it was only meant to be prawn and mussel but had other seafood in it?! Our prawn tigella was delicious but only two prawns and a bit of avocado for £7!!!
I didn’t complain because we only had an hour before the theatre plus it was a special occasion.
My mother offered to pay as a treat but I felt bad for her as our meal was disappointing and really expensive for what it was.
The service was fantastic and we couldn’t fault the waitresses. I do hope the manager can do something for us to return again?
Beautiful food. Unique - only place selling traditional Italian Tigella in the UK. Pasta dishes delicious. Great service with good and knowledgeable explanation of the dishes on the menu.
Very good prosecco - by the glass or bottle.
Great location - 2 mins walk away from the Dominion Theatre . Highly recommend for pre or post matinee performances - or pre evening (not sure what time it closes.)
The food was quite tasty but the service was quite slow particularly when you take into account that the restaurant was not full. Reasonably priced with more of a cafe feel to the place than a restaurant.
Good location but menu options a bit limited and no real dessert options. Would be sensible to have a photograph on the menu of some of the food, so it is clear what the choices are. Chips were good and overall experience good, but at times, the waitress was a bit distracted.
