Manor Hill Tavern
Our Head Chef strives to use seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible, including herbs and vegetables from our farm. Our distinctive menu is highlighted by a custom-built brick oven for neopolitan-style pizzas and more. We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
We proudly serve beers from Manor Hill Brewing, Howard County’s first farm brewery. Manor Hill beers are hand-made on our farm using original and unique recipes. The result is aromatic, hop forward farmhouse style beers.

Nice atmosphere, attentive and polite service, and good food. We have visited Manor Hill Tavern several times over the past two years, and have always had a pleasant experience. We also like the fact that they use reusable dinner and table ware, do not use plastic cups or straws and any left over food items can be brought home in paper product containers (rather than plastic). A nice place for a nice meal.
Nice lunch place. Food was very good
Back to school
Food was awesome and service was great. Best brunch around. Must order chix and waffles. Amazing!
Thanks Katie for the great service and the mushroom pizza was great!
This place is great of course, beautiful restaurant
We had Sunday brunch. The menu is creative and the meals delicious. We each had something different and they were all delicious - French toast and eggs, short rib omelet, chicken and waffles and carb pizza. We also enjoyed 2 specialty cocktails that were great too. Again, their cocktails are very creative, classic and delicious. Our server was extremely personable and knowledable. The restaurant is very charming and has a very interesting history, as does every place in Old Ellicott City. Highly recommend for lunch and dinner too. The menus looked very good. Make a reservation!!
Ate outside at the beer garden
Felt the meal went very well
And service was great
The sloping ground was a bit ofd
But being next to the running eater was fun
It was our first time at Manor Tavern Hill and Old Ellicott City and neither disappointed. The staffand our server Katie were so gracious and hospitable. Oh, I can not forget the manager who stop by to see how our experience was- didn't get her name but she also took some time and shared some things about the town too- so nice!
delicious and original meals, great drinks and house beer, excellent service
I had a seasonal drink with BlackBerry and it was the highlight of the meal!!! I also had the seasonal Truffle Shuffle pizza which was pretty tasty. The value was where my rating went down. I had two drinks, fries as an app, and a pizza. That cost $54 without tip. In my this pretty expensive for tavern/pub food. My friend had a burger and fries and it was $20, so I felt like that was too expensive. Maybe those are pandemic prices......
We always enjoy this restaurant the food is delicious and the waitstaff friendly. Great neighborhood gem. ♥️
Food was excellent. Can’t wait to return for more!
Manor Hill burgers and pizza of the day were delicious! So nice to be able to made a reservation for a night out. Service was friendly, efficient and fun..
Great food and service
We went for an early Sunday supper before Shakespeare in the Ruins. Food was fresh and portions were generous. Beer selection offered lots of variety. Cobb salad was tasty.
Three of us had lunch in the fireplace room. Our server Angela was outstandingly pleasant and attentive.
The food was good, and met expectations.
The food was delicious! Our service was good, however I think our waiter (who was super friendly and great overall) was overloaded with too many tables. Will happily go back again!
The food was good but not special. Service /location/ ambiance were all excellent. I would return.
The food is always fantastic and thoughtfully crafted. You can't make any wrong choices when it comes to their menu options. The staff is so pleasant and welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual but very clean, cozy and inviting. Brunch is a must! Come back often enough to try everything on the menu.
Great food and service, what more can you ask for?! Beer and cocktails, yes, those too! We always get a brick oven pizza for each of us and the Smoker is my all time favorite. This time we tried the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were delicious. Manor Hill has a great atmosphere and is a perfect setting in old Ellicott City. Our server, Angela, was excellent; very friendly and efficient.
Great atmosphere, however the prices just don't match up with the menu. $17 for a sandwich filled with vegetables is unreasonable, as is the $18 burger.
I will say they make the best salads ever though! Great beer and cocktail list.
I'll definitely come again, but maybe just for an app and drink.
Went for restaurant week and it was a wonderful meal. The tuna Tacos were amazing as was the duck.
The restaurant week prix-fix menue read very elegant and avant-garde. The plates had good even the almost-too-much beurre blanc made the celery root purée just gorgeous. HOWEVER, the dessert was extremely disappointing. I almost sent it back. It was said to be a peach CRISP bar. I didn't have the ice cream not only because it doesn't agree with me rather because I wanted this CRISP(?) peach bar to be unadulterated and taste as it is meant to be. It was anything BUT crisp. It was as if someone opened a jar of peach baby food, tossed it with some flour it wasn't even worthy of that label. $10 wasted and there was sadly not enough alcohol in my 1, $9 cocktail to convince me otherwise. Don't think we will be joining restaurant week there again next time. The folks that wait tables there are fantastically attentive; sorry we can't say the same for all the kitchen staff. Regards!
Food and beer was excellent. The tavern was full and the waiter seemed stretched thin. However, overall service was good.
Manor Hill NEVER disappoints! We’ve been going for several years and ordered take-out thruout the pandemic as well! Kids have been going since they were wee ones and now as teenagers they still love it! Service is great! Food is always excellent! Highly recommend for all kinds of groups!
Food was incredibly good. Started out with the wings followed by a burger with the street fries. Everything was outstanding. Sat close to where the pizzas were made and those looked really good too.
Great place, great drinks, great food, great service. We'll be back
Burger was very good. Soup special was OK. Bay fries were great. Beer on tap was very good. Overall a good experience.
The menu listed on your site was not offered at the restaurant. The menu items are the reasons we went.
Great restaurant for a relaxed dinner. Will definitely be back.
Met friends for a first time visit post pandemic. Food was awesome. Service well done. Overall…a great experience. Beer was delicious too!!
Great food and service. Would definitely return. Only critique is that the restaurant could do a better job on it's website explaining the differences between the beer garden, the indoor restaurant and the patio/terrace. In short: 1) Beer garden -- no draft beer available and food comes in takeout boxes. But dogs are allowed; 2) patio/terrace -- cannot reserve a table for the patio, reservations are for indoor tables only. No dogs.
Great Father’s Day lunch experience. Solidly good food and attentive service.
We went to Manor Hill for Fathers Day Brunch/Lunch. The food is amazing!!!! We will definitely be frequent diners there!
As usual the food was fantastic. We always order the chicken and waffles. We haven’t found any other restaurant offering this as delicious as Manor Hill Tavern.
It was Father’s Day and my husbands birthday. Really great service and delicious food!
Excellent good, cute little place in Old Ellicott City
The food came out at different times. You couldn't sit in 2 of the chairs because the legs fell into a section of the floor. Good waitress but other than that, not good.
