Manpuku Tokyo BBQ - West Hollywood
It was very good! THANK YOU
Great service. Food was good, but overpriced for the amount.
The Kobe beef is not really Kobe beef. Even in the A5 set, only one or two kinds of meet is considered kobe beed ( and still not the best part/cut)
I won't go here again even company pays for it.
This food is out of this world. I was surprised because chains typically rate between 2 and 3 stars in my book but everything was absolutely perfect. Meat was tender, great options of different grades of meat. The appetizers were amazing. Just felt like a high end experience all around. We loved it so much that we went back the following evening. Well done!
Food was great specially for value. Top dishes were snake river farm wagyu ribeye, Kobe beef uni sashimi, and skirt steak, but the other side dishes like the spicy miso soup and lychee ice cream were really good. Only thing is I was expecting the servers to make most of the food but only the shrimp was until the waiter realized it was our first time and helped us out at first. But cooking it wasn’t hard. Definitely get the sesame oil dip with minced garlic salt and pepper, probably my favorite one.
The service was excellent, the food was just ok.
I will give Manpuku (Sawtelle) 5/5
But will give Manpuku (WH) 3.5/5
Wouldn't have went if I knew it was a bit different
Excellent food, great service and a nice casual spot.
The food and service were both exceptional!
Fantastic place. Their sukiyaki beef with rice balls are a must try. We ended up ordering two rounds of them. The value of money was great given the quality of their meat. The servers are always happy to talk to us about the best way to cook each type of meat. We really enjoyed our time there.
service was spotty. waited at least 5 minutes to be greeted at host stand. very helpful though and the food is amazing. not cheap but certainly you get high end top quality food and meat which you just can't get anywhere else.
Food was amazing but the service was extremely disappointing. We waiting almost 15 minutes before a server even acknowledged us and it wasn’t busy.
Definitely the best food and service
Very authentic Japanese BBQ.
Good sake & soju selections
Will visit again.
LARGE PARTY NEXT TO US WERE VERY NOISY. OUT SERVICE AND FOOD WERE OKAY
It’s probably my 6-7th time here. I love dining here for the food and the ambience. Great service too.
Very nice cozy place
Great service and fresh meat quality.
Staffs are very attentive.
Great quality of meat. Fun experience cooking your food your own way. Everything delicious .
Service can be a lot better
Best Japanese Barbeque in LA! Service is great along with the ambience. Prices are superb and the meat quality is the best
what an absolute treat.....from the moment we walked in, we were welcome......from seating to the thorough explanation of the menu from kenny to tips on ordering.....everything we ordered was awesome....miso eggplant, cucumbers, chicken thighs and pretty much everything on the 2nd sampling menu....and the beef soup is astounding.....we sampled as much as we could and will now look forward to return visits to enjoy everything we had - and more....
The Wagyu was absolutely fantastic. Overall delicious food. Highly recommended Japanese BBQ.
Great and very unique dining experience. Really fun to cook on the grate. Went here with my son before a comedy show down the street. They accommodated us ahead of our reservation time. Servers were very friendly and offered good advice. Prime Rib Eye was excellent. Highly recommend.
Suitable for foodies. Comparable to Tsurohashi.
Stellar dining. Really enjoyed the different cuts of beef in an inviting atmosphere. The only odd point was the A5 wagyu that was not as flavorful as we expected. Great place.
Great service. Amazing BBQ. Meat was the highest quality. Best BBQ outside of Ktown
Everything was outstanding. Can’t wait to go back.
Wonderful experience. The GM was a very polite and personable guy. The food is absolutely amazing but is definitely pricey. I would definitely go back though!
Friendly and Nice Hospitality Service. High quality fresh foods. Nothing compared. come back soon.
Overall great experience and awesome waiters and staff. Everyone super friendly and knowledgeable about the dining experience. I would have given 5 stars but the table wasn’t ready even though we had a reservation. Also there really isn’t a bar area so you kind of have to hang out in the front and there were several couples waiting as well. There is a cool bar right next door so it worked out. Again, the food is incredible and I will definitely add this to my rotation.
It was an anniversary dinner and they gave us an additional desert at no charge with a candle in it. Lastly, they have a few Japanese beers that are unique if that’s your thing.
Manpuku is my favorite new addition to the 3rd street restaurants in the past few years. I have loved the location on Sawtelle for a very long time, and the only thing that keeps me from eating there is the distance & the business of the Sawtelle area. So getting a Manpuku in our neighborhood is great. And the food is fantastic. I will continue to eat here as often as possible.
It’s so delicious. I have loved the one on sawtelle forever but this one is even better!
Like Korean bbq but better as the Japanese version called yakiniku offers high quality meats, seafood, vegetables and great Asian salads. Meats cone either marinated or sslted(shio) which is recommended. It’s also slot of fun cooking your own and eating at your own pace.
Great as always. Great Japanese style barbecue.
One of my favorite spots. I dream of the radish salad. The rosu is fantastic!
GREAT customer service. Definitely made the food taste even better than it already tasted to begin with.
Food was good, not spectacular, not really worth how much you’re paying for it.
Great service! Had a great birthday here
