You need to visit Mantra - this isn’t your typical Indian! The food tasted amazing and the service was great. I recommend getting a dosa and the hyperbadi medium chicken.
Thank you very much for your feedback and thanks for your support at this time. Thanks for giving us 5 stars. I am glad you liked our food and service. We look forward to serving you soon. Kind Regards, Mantra
Great attentive staff!! Had the set menu and it was great.
Would definitely go back again.
Greta night!
The food was great and best butter chicken I’ve had in a long time!
Best Indian in Bath for something different and delicious.,Tables a bit close together for Covid regulations. Table next to us about 3 ft away so social distancing with strangers not possible.
Very disappointing. Service is terrible. Everyone needs training. Shame as the starters were amazing, but after waiting over an hour for our mains, we left.
One of the service staff dropped so much wax on to my leather jacket when moving a table, and never even apologised. Just carried on doing what he was doing
We waited for 10 minutes to be seated, with other people. No adherence to physical distancing.
We asked for all of our food to come out at the same time; it did not.
The table next to us waited 25 mins for a beer and cocktail.
We were really looking forward to eating there, and it spoilt our night
Huge shame, as honestly it was one of the nicest starters I’ve had in a while.
Maybe worth checking out if you go when they aren’t busy, as they don’t know how to run a busy restaurant unfortunately
Made very welcome, excellent service, very friendly staff.
Definitely recommend booking this restaurant
Literally the best Indian food I have ever experienced and I’ve had a few! The food was flavoursome yet extremely light and all four diners agree. A highlight was the gin-soaked tandoor prawns. Very friendly service too.
Very slow service and some of the food was good, some was awful
Booked for 12 when it was supposed to open but had to wait 10-15 in the doorway for them to let us in. Took another 30-40 minutes for food to arrive but thankfully the food was excellent, maybe worth booking a little after the restaurant is meant to open
We were in Bath on a Monday and were very limited regarding places accepting on line bookings other than the big chains.
Mantra surpassed all our expectations. Service was quick and friendly with useful assistance on menu choices.
Excellent food across the board. I'd highly recommend Mantra for lovely Indian food in Bath.
The food was incredible. The team at Mantra were all so friendly. We will be back!
Food was great, but we were asked to vacate our 7pm booking table at 8pm because they had another booking, even though we still had a glass of wine each. The server offered to let us pour the wine back in the bottle and take the bottle with us...
Favourite Indian restaurant in Bath!
Great food with a nice view out the back . Really enjoyed it
Great food but it’s always a let down on the service
Terrible. Booked a table for 22:15 on open table to turn up and be told they close at 22:00 so it’s impossible, even though the restaurant confirmed the booking. Then got told I was aggressive and got mobbed by the staff as I wanted my taxi fare back in return for the mistake. Ended up with my £10 and a takeaway from a local friendly Indian.
Very slow service and dishes missed but superb food!
We had not been here before the staff was very friendly and helpful. They advised use on having several starters to have instead of a main so that we could try lots of different things to see different types of food
We will definitely be going back
Nice Indian restaurant with terrace. Food was a bit spicy for me but I only like mild things. There was an extra charge of 10% on our wine for some reason and 4. 95 for 3 poppadoms seemed expensive. Not to mention the ice cream, same price. Waitress was nice but service was very slow. Mixed bag.
Great food and friendly staff. Would highly recommend the masala dosa!
Should of not been part of Eat Out to Help our - poor service, not COVID compliant.
Reservation booked for 8pm, was not seated until after 9pm and there were others who had 8pm reservations that were kept waiting even longer and left out of frustration. The service following on from this was not great, had to grab the attention of staff to get menus, drinks, order food.
Had the set menu, the food was absolutely outstanding and saved the evening.
They had overbooked on an Eat Out to Help Out day and we were waiting outside for forty minutes despite booking a table, long wait on food but when it arrived it was so delicious we forgot all about the wait. Recommend going on a quieter night.
Great food, great staff and good value. Will be back.
Dave, from Streatham.
Great food Gorgeous View friendly staff, would recommend
Was OK without being outstanding. Some food was better than others, Dosa very good would return just for this dish, lamb dishes average. Would recommend for an informal lunch / dinner. Lacked ambience but probably due to location of table in a small area between kitchen and lower dining area, other areas are probably much better
We had the £25 set menu... all delicious. Our table was on the top floor by the terrace/sliding doors, good amount of air flow!
Pleased to see staff wearing masks and gloves when serving, although some tables seemed to be a little closer together than I would have thought would be ideal. (May I suggest that the middle table of the row of 3 'tables for 2' should not be used at present?)
Overall, really enjoyed our meal, thanks.
Great food and felt safe with screens and staff in masks
Excellent service and food. Set menu sharer was delicious.
Will definitely be back!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening here on Saturday night. The outdoor terrace was a total surprise and the view was stunning. It made our evening perfect. All the staff were very Covid compliant, super polite, kind and made the whole experience fabulous. Thank you and I look forward to returning with my hubby as we have been trying to find an excellent Indian restaurant for a long time!
Probably the best curry I’ve had outside of India . Will definitely return next time I’m in Bath
We visited as a group of four and all thought that it was the best curry we had eaten in year’s .The service was excellent very attentive and friendly staff .We all felt safe in the restaurant as all regulations were adhered to .We will definitely come back again on our next visit to Bath.
Nice restaurant and food in Bath but the service was slow between starter and mains, probably down to recent re-opening and get back in the swing of things.
Food excellent, service a little slow while the first course popadoms were forgotten & had to be reminded. And the downstairs restaurant was cold. But the food made up for these minor blemishes.
Staff very friendly & helpful. Food well presented & tasty. Our first visit to the Restuarant well worth it.
Would recommend to friends
Only one issue when the waitress stated the staff do not get any of the service charge & it was not optional. Disappointing!
The food was so tasty no nasty oily dishes all home style cooked and amazing flavour.
The staff were lovely and the food was amazing but unfortunately, despite having an early evening booking, our table of 4 friends was put next to a very loud and drunk group of 20 people in the basement. The noise level was unbelievable - we literally could not hear one another speak. I think if you are going to have a large group of people on one table, you need to put other large groups of people in the same area: there was certainly plenty of space for at least another table of 20 or 2 x 10, etc. Such a shame as it has put me off going there unless the staff could guarantee I had a table on the ground floor which seemed significantly quieter. We did ask to be moved but were told the noisy table were going soon. They eventually did but we had nearly finished our meal as well.
Went for anniversary meal, as it was recommended to us by staff at hotel, food amazing, good portions, very tasty, staff friendly and helpful
Thank you very much Dawn for your feedback. Thanks for giving us 5 stars. I am glad you liked our food and service. We look forward to seeing you soon. Kind Regards, Mantra
