Best customer service . Very nice food . Generous portions .reasonable prices. And great cocktails. Will visit again .
Nice place to dine. Very helpful staff. Would diffenetly come again.
Amazing service and yammy food , I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant
Incredible service and great food - for an extremely reasonable price
I booked an outside table for the set menu of a starter, main course and glass of wine. At £14.50 it was exceptional value.
I had Halloumi & Chicken skewers.
I arrived at 6pm - earlier than my booking - and luckily they had space.
I was looked after by 3 friendly members of staff. One has been there a month and one it was her first day. Both repeatedly checked on me. The manager Wassib was just as attentive and they all made me feel really welcome. I will definitely return.
nice no frills middle eastern food. great to be seating in old compton street the atmosphere is great! staff super super friendly.
Awful restaurant. First of all a booking for 7 people outside were put on a table of 4, after half an hour and us asking again to get another table as 7 people could not eat around the table they found another table to attach to ours. The female waitresses were lovely, This restaurant takes your order then takes your payment which we had done throughout the night... when we ordered a round we were brought the drinks then this rude small “manager” came along and said to the waitress “why are you serving this table, we need the table back for another booking”. They proceeded to take the drinks away.
Suddenly the small rude manager stated we had a bill to pay of £80. We stated we had paid at every point through the night, over £300 between us. The rude small manager then proceeded to tell us that we were not to leave and that they were calling the Police. The Police arrive and immediately the small rude manager told the Police that we had not paid and that the reason we were leaving was that he decided we had too much to drink, trying to entice the Police to think we didn’t know what was going on.
Luckily the Police could see that that was untrue and that members of the group were sober and that I myself had not drank at all. Suddenly when the waitress who was serving us confirmed what we were saying in front of the Police, the bill was reduced to £40. We apologised to the Police on behalf of the restaurant for wasting their time, on what was a busy night in Soho. The rude small “manager” who was highly aggressive was a real Pinocchio when it came to him trying to ham his story up to the Police. I genuinely hope this was the restaurant too busy to understand what was paid and not a scam tactic they try on people they think “have had too much” and wouldn’t notice/could get the Police involved.
The Police understood they were busy and may have got it wrong. We paid a reduced price to end wasting any more Police time, hopefully it can be spent on anger management
Booked here for pre-theatre dinner. It was perfect, wonderful experience food was served quickly and absolutely delicious food!! Sitting in the streets of soho the atmosphere was great, would defiantly recommend and go back! Very reasonable and delicious with great service!
Herman the main waiter was so helpful and friendly - managed to get us an outside table and all the other staff were every so friendly amd attentive .
Early dinner deal is superb value for money - everything tasted amazing and fresh .
Just the chicken came out a bit cold but it didn’t hinder the amazing experience . Thank you
Average food, massively overpriced wine
Incredible experience- my first time at a Mediterranean restaurant and I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Not only was the food fresh, flavourful, and tasty, the ambiance was also well thought out (in line w Covid precautions and safe against UK weather), and the service was beyond unbelievable. Special shout-out to our amazing server, Cham, who went above and beyond in making sure our experience was unforgettable. She displayed such a friendly and knowledgable impression and guided us through the best ways to enjoy our first time with Mediterranean cuisine. Would absolutely come back for not just the food, but also the 5 star service from Cham and rest of the staff!
We had an amazing meal here after lockdown lifted. The food was really good, lots of great baklava and drinks. The staff was amazing, so attentive and generous.
The food was cooked to the perfect texture, as usually grilled meat sometimes gets dried up but the chefs here know what they’re doing. Decently priced for the proportion of food you get and the service is excellent. The waiters are very helpful and actually recommended my main and I could say I was more than satisfied. They make sure that everything is going well and they checked up on us which shows we weren’t forgotten. The food arrived on time and so did the drinks so I would say it’s convenient if you’re stopping by and need to grab something filling on the way.
We booked a table here for business meting. The food was excellent as was the service. Our waitress was the star of the show and made us feel very welcome and we will definitely be returning in the near future.I would highly recommend this place!
The amount of food you get for the price is genuinely quite appalling. Even tho being aware of the price level in Soho, this is the worst I've experienced in a long time. It also seemed as if the waiters were desperate for us to leave and taking our drinks before we were even finished. However, the ambience and vibe was pretty cosy. Overall quite disappointing sadly.
Food and service great. Only had an issue with the last Gin and Tonic you served. Once we said the drink was not right, definitely flat and no tonic, it was replaced immediately to be fair. But with another Gin and Tonic which was equally flat and definitely not tonic. It tasted like Gin and water. I know it was crazy busy and you had already told us you had run out baklava and brandy so we would have understood that you had run out of tonic too. Never assume that someone will not notice that they are not getting what they ordered.
Ordered a aperol sprtiz. The spritz was miss, didn’t taste like alcohol, it was flat so obvs no Prosecco in it. Sent it back and it was returned with a messaged from the bar man that it’s Rosé that’s in it. ThAt is not an aperol spritz at £9!
Simple but good Middle Eastern food. Staff was very polite and professional
The price of the food compared to the quantity was dissopoint.
Service was very poor - waitress was uninterested and unhelpful. Food was OK. Value was reasonable. We won’t be in a rush to return.
Overall very poor food quality. Falafel were over fried to the point there were black. We ordered a portion of fries which came with ketchup : asked for mustard but told ketchup was the only sauce they had available. Spent £43 in 2 for a very poor meal: 2 falafel plates - about 5 falafel with tiny salad and very little hummus- 1x small plate of fries-which were over burned, 2x glasses of tonic water on tap, 2x small peroni bottle. Felt it was overpriced considering the food quality and portion was very poor. Only good point was the location, as right in soho. I advise them To improve the quality of the food as was quite poor. We understand you increase the prices as are trying to make up for the loss of the lockdown but people are not stupid!
The service was rapid and friendly but unfortunately did not enjoy the food!
Went with a group of 6, had fun. Lamb chops were delicious. The only advice would be for the waiters to be a bit more thorough when taking the orders, the staff gave me the impression they did not know what to do with themselves and forgot a few items we ordered. Apart from that, would definitely recommend
I had my birthday get together with friends. The staff were very nice, friendly and attentive. Food was amazing too. I will definitely visit again and I also recommend them.
Nice visit, staff very attentive. Food was nice but too expensive for what it was.
Lovely food and drinks. Maoz has a nice family-run atmosphere and the waiters are so friendly. Will be returning soon!
When we arrived they didn’t have a table for us and threw two random tables together that were different sizes. It meant half the table was covered and half was exposed. They are overbooking at the moment
The food is tasty and well seasoned, however portions are a little small for the price you pay for a meal.
Our food was accidentally placed on the wrong table and the team dealt with this issue professionally
The outdoor seating area had heaters which is great for dining outdoors.
Very nice place, great food and amazing cocktails. Would be back at anytime
Great service and atmosphere at this restaurant. We were looked after very well
The staff - Wasim - was really good in taking care of us and made our time enjoyable. He was very polite and ensured we had everything we needed.
We sat in a tent out on the street. The tent made that were shielded from the cold wind. Which was good.
Very good service but too many people packed together. Trying to get in and out to bathroom meant asking others to stand up from eating their meals. The idea of being outside was to feel safer but it felt claustrophobic and too close to others. We were joined to another guests table
Food was amazing and came promptly all the staff were polite and everyone was so lovely especially Wassim!
Absolutely stunning. Good was incredible, the staff was constantly keeping an eye on us making sure we were ok. There was a guy on a trial shift who provided us with such a good service.
Definitely will come back
Great food in one of my favourite neighbourhoods in London. Having said that, though I do understand the current circumstances, the waiters were rushing us to eat and empty our tables with the first chance they had, even though we were supposed to have the booking for at least a good 90 mins. I'm here to enjoy good company and meet friends, not just eat in a rush and go!
Waited one hour for our food despite other people who came later getting there’s first. Waiters and waitresses were friendly. Vibe was nice, but portions were ridiculously small given the price! Don’t go there if you’re starving.
Lively oudoor street dining with ok food and a few cocktail selections. Friendly and prompt service but pretty minimal in terms of plates, cutlery, napkins, etc.
Very friendly staff compared to other places along Old Compton Street , food reasonably priced enough space between tables, would go again.
