Nice visit, staff very attentive. Food was nice but too expensive for what it was.
Lovely food and drinks. Maoz has a nice family-run atmosphere and the waiters are so friendly. Will be returning soon!
When we arrived they didn’t have a table for us and threw two random tables together that were different sizes. It meant half the table was covered and half was exposed. They are overbooking at the moment
Very nice place, great food and amazing cocktails. Would be back at anytime
Great service and atmosphere at this restaurant. We were looked after very well
The staff - Wasim - was really good in taking care of us and made our time enjoyable. He was very polite and ensured we had everything we needed.
We sat in a tent out on the street. The tent made that were shielded from the cold wind. Which was good.
Very good service but too many people packed together. Trying to get in and out to bathroom meant asking others to stand up from eating their meals. The idea of being outside was to feel safer but it felt claustrophobic and too close to others. We were joined to another guests table
Food was amazing and came promptly all the staff were polite and everyone was so lovely especially Wassim!
Absolutely stunning. Good was incredible, the staff was constantly keeping an eye on us making sure we were ok. There was a guy on a trial shift who provided us with such a good service.
Definitely will come back
Great food in one of my favourite neighbourhoods in London. Having said that, though I do understand the current circumstances, the waiters were rushing us to eat and empty our tables with the first chance they had, even though we were supposed to have the booking for at least a good 90 mins. I'm here to enjoy good company and meet friends, not just eat in a rush and go!
Waited one hour for our food despite other people who came later getting there’s first. Waiters and waitresses were friendly. Vibe was nice, but portions were ridiculously small given the price! Don’t go there if you’re starving.
Lively oudoor street dining with ok food and a few cocktail selections. Friendly and prompt service but pretty minimal in terms of plates, cutlery, napkins, etc.
Very friendly staff compared to other places along Old Compton Street , food reasonably priced enough space between tables, would go again.
Really enjoyed the meal and the experience overall.
Service was a bit all over the place although the lady serving is was excellent.
Food took a while but that suited us as we didn't have a later booking for drinks anywhere.
When or main came out they accidentally gave out to the table behind us but they replaced it quite quickly.
All in all, they are very very busy so some mistakes are totally understandable.
Would go again :)
I booked a table and as soon as we arrived they informed us that we could stay only an hour. The service was poor and everybody was waiting for us to leave.
Food and service was phenomenal- will definitely be returning here
The food was very small
Food was great, service was perfect. portion sizes were small
Overall a good experience. Food was fresh and tasted amazing.
Booked a table for 12:00 on OR but arrived and they said they will be set up for 12:15 and hadn’t updated the website. OT also had a bottomless brunch advertised which was also something that was needing to be updated. The cocktails we had instead were good. Just a shame the tables are not on the sun for outdoor seating. Feels more of a takeaway shop than a “restaurant”
Food was good, wine a little overpriced but overall was an enjoyable experience. Busy atmosphere atm and whatever you do, don't turn up before your booking, they will not have a table for you. They're pretty strict about bookings/timings which I don't necessarily blame them for - it's a small restaurant so they don't have any spare space. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Better than what I was expecting. Tasty food, average prices and perfect location
Good food and drinks. Service was a little slow but it was very busy so it was to be expected
Poor service - several mistakes, poor communication between colleagues, one meal arrived and they had forgotten about the second - which arrived 10 mins later when the initial plate was stone cold. No offer of compensation and I was just keen to get out. I appreciate that some of the staff were new (they told us so) but the managers were around to help out but didn't.
The main course food itself was ok. Lamb skewers were tasty although one portion was dry (and eaten cold) while the other was succulent and fresh (hot).
The starters were good - the hummus and pitta were particularly good.
Tables were too close together and social distancing was not observed by staff or customers. I felt anxious constantly. I won't return to Soho until I feel more comfortable.
Great night in Soho at Maoz. Tasty food and good value for money. Will definitely be back!
Food was excellent, had several starters and small plates to share. No vegetarian mains, but enough on starters/small plates. Staff were friendly and helpful. Chilly evening, so appreciated the heat lamps. Very good value for money.
Friendly service although a little too much at times - topping up our wine glass without asking us for example.
Really nice food and good prices. They had a tent with heaters so nice and warm. Would definitely go back
Loved sitting in the middle of Soho and people watching. Really tasty food and would highly recommend.
Mixed feelings about visiting Maoz on a Sunday at 4.00pm. Be prepared for a busy environment, people shouting and passing by in a hurry next to you. The manager kept pacing up and down shouting at the customers to keep their belongings close, not a relaxed atmosphere. The food was good overall but the portions small. They weren't keen on bringing drinks and food together - restaurants often want to bring you drinks and/or appetizers first as they want you to consume more drinks when your main comes. We had 4 different waiters weighing on us for different things as they would forget what we had asked for. No salt and pepper on the table either. It was pretty much a case of eat quickly and leave quickly so they can fill the table again. When we asked for the bill, they wanted to charge us more than £10 for service charge. If we hadn't noticed it in the fine print, we would have paid it. Please know that service charge is optional and many restaurants are misleadingly adding it to the bill. If I had the choice, I wouldn't go back, I would choose somewhere else.
Incredible food, incredible service. Really really impressed! Will visit again.
Fantastic food, friendly staff. A bit on the expensive side, but it is in the middle of central London, so not unreasonable.
The waiter and waitress that served me were top notch. Catered to my needs, knew I was breaking my fast and really accommodated for that. I hope they are well and you should give them a pay rise
Lovely service and tasty affordable food and drinks
Very tasty food especially the extremely succulent lamb chops! Also loved the fried aubergine slices. Service keen and friendly although a little unpolished, but I guess the whole thing of serving outside is new to them.
Good heating in the outside area.
Really could do with offering a better beer selection - five different lagers but no IPAs or anything on draft.
It was a quaint outside dining experience. Good service from staff as well.
Great food, friendly service, was packed can't wait until shisha is back!
I’m really astonished by the level of service, food and wine at what - on booking - I thought would be an average restaurant.
I can’t recommend highly enough. And no, I’m not a friend or business partner of the owner.
