We booked for a Saturday night late evening, expecting the restaurant to be buzzing.
Sadly we were the only ones there along with another table.
Music was loud and unnecessary given the restaurant was practically empty.
The food seemed like portions you feed a child. And truthfully nothing special given the price.
Wine was nothing to rave about either, I was bitterly disappointed with maple.
The staff were nice and courteous but when there is no atmosphere what can they do.
The toilets were nice.
There are many other restaurants within walking distance that are by far, better than maple.

Very happy with the level of experience and food delivered to me and my mother. I work just next door at John Lewis so I’ll certainly be returning. I’ve reccommended you to all of my colleagues so we will be back soon for sure!
Food was good and the environment was nice. It was pretty quiet, especially given that we went on a Friday night.
Menu was nice, had a good selection on it, a little pricey, but good quality.
Service was a let down. We were advised that the allergy sheet to see what was gluten free was wrong, so we ordered on the advice of our waitress, only to then be told that some of what we ordered actually wasn’t gluten free. When food arrived, again the gluten free meal had things on the plate that weren’t gluten free, which is a bit frustrating.
The waitress also gave our birthday cake away to another table and didn’t realise until very late on into the night. The restaurant did apologies and give us a round of drinks, but no cake, and given the restaurant wasn’t busy, it’s a bit embarassing for them and although it gives us a funny story, I wouldn’t rush back there to celebrate a night again with them.
Cocktails were very good and I’d highly recommend Honey Rider, but I don’t think we’d recommend this restaurant to friends or go back again.
Great restaurant that has been wonderfully decorated. Food was good but the service.... it feels like Maple are trying to recreate the wheel in terms of waiting on tables and the end result is inconsistent waiting staff that give too much attention at times and far too little at others. During our meal we had 3 different servers with some disappearing off to training at the back of the restaurant. At one point we had a gentleman at our table to apologise for our desserts being delayed, who wouldn't leave. We accepted his apology and were grateful for receiving it but he just didn't move away and stood staring at us. Very strange. So in conclusion a lovely restaurant , good food but needs some fine tuning to bring the service up to scratch.
Lovely feeling in the place menu reasonable staff lovely and friendly! Didn’t feel stuffy as we thought it may be actually it was laid back and relaxing. Only criticism is that the portion sizes were quite small, I was with three males who love their food and no starters that they fancied so had it fill up on expensive side orders with their main courses which made the meal expensive! I adored the crab linguini it’s just a shame their wasn’t much crab and it was fairly Luke warm but tasty, We may return but we have so much choice locally in West London especially Westfield where we live so there probably isn’t enough there to get us back!

This is such a lovely restaurant the food was great the service is perfect
I like the attractive decor and comfortable atmosphere. On arrival, the host took us to our booked table and the service from all the staff was courteous and professional for our entire dining experience. I had the Tuna Tartare as the starter and the Brixham crab linguini as the main. Both dishes are tasty, however, the portion were way too small. After eating both dishes, I was only half full! I will come back and try them again if the portion improves.
The music was so loud that when we arrived and spoke to a staff member behind the bar to let them know we had a table booked, I had to ask them to repeat what they said in reply 3 times, but still could not hear it. Fortunately the acoustics at the booth where we were sitting was a little easier and we were able to have a conversatio . All of the staff tried really hard to please, but somehow nothing seemed to gel, and everything took a really long time. The main dishes we had (cod) were tasty though warm (not hot) fish arrived on cold plates with cold roasted vegetables - we weren't sure whether they were meant to be a salad, or were just cold. Nothing on the dessert menu appealed so we left without having one. We asked if we could have some bread while we waited for our food, but it was brought toasted with the main dishes. Being asked whether I wanted to add a gratuity on the pdq when the bill already included service was at best a sloppy oversight, at worst shockingly cheeky.
Waited almost an hour for food and the restaurant was empty.
Was apologised too by a female server but this the only time anyone came up Tonia to do so, 5 mins before our food arrived.
Wouldn’t go back. Service is shocking.
The food was delicious, but we were waiting over 40 minutes for it to arrive. This wasn't ideal as we had limited time on our lunch break. Some parts of our order were forgotton, but these were brought to us fairly quickly once requested.
This restaurant is the perfect neighborhood escape! It’s close to home, but not just an average meal. We’ve already eaten here multiple times. Service and food are top notch!
Took my partner here for his birthday and we absolutely loved it. The starters main and desserts were all fantastic, the wine was lovely and we were recommended a great dessert wine. Our server Pauline was good fun and made our night very enjoyable. The venue itself was decorated well and comfortable. Thanks for a great night!

We went during the ‘soft opening’ and all food was discounted by 50%, hence the outstanding value stars.
The usual bistro fare here, but with a few interesting twists. The tofu and kimchi salad was the standout dish, with an explosion of flavours and textures, tuna tartare was delicate and fresh, confit duck was delicious with the welcome addition of a couple of blackberries, the skin could have been crispier, but that’s a very minor criticism. The cod was perfectly cooked, but over-seasoned for my liking (this may be because I eschewed the herb crumb to make it gluten-free) but the accompanying vegetables were delicious and complemented the flaky fish terrifically. The only real disappointment was the beef carpaccio with hazelnuts and British ewes cheese each of the three elements were delicious, but the dish was overwhelmed by an incredibly sweet glaze that dominated to such an extent that the whole dish ended up tasting like jam - that was a real pity as the cheese when we revisited it as part of the all-British cheeseboard has a real depth of flavour.
As with Maple’s sister venues the food is familiar and satisfying, with enough quirks and flourishes to keep things interesting. It’s a bit out of my usual hunting ground, but I would definitely go again when I’m in the area.
I just had lunch here as part of their soft opening. In my opinion they should not have opened as there was still considerable works taking place.
The service to start was good but then we were completely ignored. Our waiter changed 4 times, dessert took 25 minutes to arrive, after having waited 25 minutes to take our order... when it arrived it was wrong. No apologies. And we were then told the Eton Mess we had ordered was “sold out” - how?? There were only 4 other diners in the whole restaurant!!!
I’ve been looking forward to this place opening, but was really disappointed with the experience. I shall wait a few months and see if the reviews improve, but right now I can’t imagine I’ll go again, which is a shame as it was going to be perfect for events and socials.
