About Marco Pierre White Wheeler's Oyster Bar and Grill Room
Marco Pierre White Wheeler's Bank is a new concept by Marco that looks to build on the history of Wheeler’s, which is famed for being the oldest fish brand in the world, counting Lucien Freud and Walt Disney amongst some of its famous diners.
However, it is not just for fish lovers, there is plenty of meat on the menu too. Marco has created a menu that gives a nod to the history but has evolved it to what today’s diner wants.
Flavours that represent the history of wheeler's and showcase the classics such as Wheeler's Fish Pie, in addition to new favourites like Lobster Thermidor and Maxim's Quail's eggs Maintenon.
With a separate bar area, Wheeler’s Oyster Bar & Grill Room, is not just for dining. It’s the perfect setting for a business meeting, after work drink or bar snack. There is something on offer for every occasion.

Marco Pierre White Wheeler's Oyster Bar and Grill Room Ratings and Reviews
Celebrated my Wife's 50th birthday. The excellent staff went out of their way to make it a special occasion whilst the food was also excellent. Given the prices of some London restaurants we also thought it was good value. It was a Monday evening so it was quieter than is probably the case towards the end of the week/weekend but there was still enough atmosphere to make it a good meal all round.
We had a fantastic lunch but it wasn't actually in Wheelers as the restaurant that you had allowed me to book online is actually closed on a Saturday! I think you need to sort out your website OpenTable.
That said, Threadneedles Hotel and the bar - which is probably Wheelers - were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble looking after us and my father who is 86 and not very mobile. In particular Andrea from the restaurant team was fantastic! Thank you so much.
beautiful light dining room, excellent food and attentive service. Love the space - tables are not too close together (so you can have a discreet conversation) but the room does not become sterile or too formal. also the distinct lack of (loud) music was a relief. Some people still know how to do it!
Lets be honest again....., THANK YOU SO MUCH that you (servis, kitchen , Mr.White`s book..) made my day more lovely. From the first moment that i came inside to the restaurant pleasant servis took care about me,they were really friendly, positive and communicative . I was there alone but with them i absolutelly didnt feel lonely :-). I have visited this place because of Mr. White`s book tour....and me, as a young chef who is looking for inspiration, motivation, energy and people who just are not afraid to move their own limits in job what they love........and i found there everything what i was expecting. It was difficult for me to choose from menu because almost everything looked amazing. I chose dishes which recipies i could find in Marco`s book ,perfectly created situation where i could read recipe of food what i was eating :-) Finally i have had French Onion Soup....J`adore cette soup !!... pour moi tres savoureux .....it really started up my taste canals. Main course I had Salmon, i loved crunchy skin and juicy salmon in point. Sweet dot after all was sticky toffee pudding, one of my favorite dezert,so thats why i know this pudding really good. It was o.k , but a little dry for me anyway taste was nice. I respect chefs who did all dishes , because I ENJOYED IT . Merci beaucoup. Natalia.
If I could take up residence here, I would. I don't think I need to add to the litany of positive accolades, because it's clear that this is a very special place. Everything was precise, exceptionally well executed and unpretentious. Service was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. So looking forward to a return visit.
The food was simply fantastic, not overly fussy but extremely well prepared and cooked to perfection, perfect setting for the perfect evening out. The staff were all excellent and the level of service was top notch, well done everyone, would highly recommend.
The food was really enjoyable. Didn't have the most expensive meal on the menu but it was very tasty and very well presented. The waiters were really good - being available when necessary without being intrusive. The ambiance still lacks something - mainly due to the number of empty tables but didn't detract too much from the meal, and it meant that we could easily have a business conversation without being overheard. Will definitely return.
The cocktail bar was really busy with both workers and tourist’s Great atmosphere. The bar staff were very efficient.
The restaurant had a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, excellent service and the staff very attentive. The food was delicious especially the oysters.
Great food, excellent levels of service. Attentive, informed and helpful staff. We went for a business lunch and the menu was excellent. The location was spacious enough o have a business conversation without impinging on neighbours and vice versa. Waiting staff were charming and well informed about choices. Despite being full the food was prompt yet unhurried. For City location and Celebrity name location the meal was reasonably priced.
Our family decided to eat at Marco White Wheeler's Oyster Bar and Grill Room because we heard of the really good food that the restaurant serves. We loved the professional and high end ambience. Furthermore, the soup, the steak, the oysters, and the vanilla brownie were all made from high class ingredients and very all very delicious and good value and price! We really look forward to come back soon! :)
When we arrived, we learned that the restaurant did not open until 5:30 (the only reservations we could secure were for 5:00). But then we come to find out that this particular Saturday is the first ever Saturday that they are open! Apparently, the locals all leave town for the weekends. Fancy that!
But, the restaurant personnel took care of us as if we were VIPs. Service was exemplary and the food-oh, the food-was five star plus!
If I get back to London, a visit to MPWWheeler's is definitely on the agenda.
Went for the 3 course lunch menu, so right from the get go, it was value for money. A starter, main and dessert. The restaurant was near empty so I can't really talk to the ambiance, but the décor was certainly nice. Quite elegant and befitting Marco Pierre White. More importantly though, it was the food! The food was spot on. The flavours, the textures, the presentation - everything was what I expected of the MPW brand. I dined at several celebrity chef branded restaurants on my UK trip and this was the highlight.
staff are very friendly, wine was tasty and the food was delicious. we were not rushed and stayed till quite late.
when we arrived we had a few drinks in the bar open area, which was very relaxed and waiter service. The lounge room was very spacious and great for private talks. when we were ready to sit in the restaurant I asked the very kind waiter to show us to our table. The menu was brilliant, lots to choose from and although a few different dishes I was pleased to see traditional meals with English products.
I highly recommend this restaurant and will defiantly be dinning again soon with Wheelers.
The London cable fire meant a last minute change of plan for 7 people for dinner and still get to the Royal Opera House by 19.00. Throw into the mix an 80- year old with mobility issues. This was a great choice, especially the young woman host; nothing was too much trouble. Food was great and served stylishly and with care and attention. Interesting menu with a good choice of well priced wines. They deserve to do well.
