I NEVER write reviews but I have to let everybody know that the breakfast here is fantastic. The food, service, and coffee were splendid. An easy choice for any hotel guest that needs to eat early.

Not a good experience at all! Food was cold and not satisfying at all in terms of flavor. Waitress had no knowledge of the menu. Quality of food does not equal the prices they charge. Will not go there again. Very disappointing

Unfortunately, our dinner was off to a bad start from the beginning. Seating our party of 5 with a reservation was an issue. The service took forever as we waited 2 hours for our entrees and had not ordered appetizers we were starving. Plus half the food was cold while the other was piping hot. There were elements missing from the dishes, dressings and substitutions made. Since we were in good company we were powered through but would not recommend.

Food was inedible. Ordered a Caesar salad with steak and the steak was cold and chopped up pieces that appeared to be left over steak. The burgers were hockey pucks and also cold. All the food was cold. Prime rib was cold too. Such a shame. Worst dinner ever. Drinks were good and decor is pretty.

The food really was terrible. They need to rethink the menu. Staff was overwhelmed and tried their best!

I rarely write reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was so frustrating that I had to share. We made a reservation and were seated promptly, but that's where the positives end. We sat there for a full 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us—no water, no menus, nothing. Finally, a server appeared, but instead of helping us, they went straight to the table next to ours, who had only arrived about 5 minutes earlier. It felt like we were invisible! We ended up leaving without ordering anything. If this is how they treat customers, I won't be back, and I don't recommend it to anyone. Poor management and terrible service all around.

My husband and I went for dinner and decided to share a few of their small plates. Unfortunately I think the only positive I have was the live music was really good. We ordered the Tuna tartare, calamari and nachos. The Tuna was completely bland, was in desperate need of salt and the flavored cracker it was served with completely overwhelmed the whole dish. The nachos were a complete disaster. They decided to serve them on wax paper, so when the cheese cooled down it completely stuck to the paper, to the point that the paper kept ripping and sticking to the chips. They were also completely soggy, a lot of the cheese hadn’t even melted and we found a fairly large piece of chicken bone in the dish. When I said something to the waiter about the bone, he seemed embarrassed about it and apologized but that was about it. No manager came to say sorry about it, no comp on the bill. Don’t waste your money.

Arrived at breakfast. Asked the waiter if we could sit by the window. He said no, that table is for four people. there was nobody sitting at any of the tables by the windows. There was no reason why we could not have been seated by the windows. he directed us to sit at a table for two where he wanted right by the door. I moved to the next table for two. Rude. He asked us what we wanted to drink as he poured water. I asked for a mimosa. He said oh no, we can’t give you that we don’t serve that. (Really?, there is a bar right there in the restaurant. ). He then asked us if we wanted coffee and we said yes. The coffee never came. He continued to wait on the only two tables in the restaurant that we’re eating. He was ignoring us. Finally, I flagged him down and said excuse me can we have our coffee? He said oh I forgot. He then took our order. The food was OK. I didn’t care for that waiter. He was not a friendly person. So before we left, In walks this man. He started talking to the waiter like he was his buddy. The waiter took him right over to the window seat And sat him down and gave him a menu. He was by himself. So, what happened to the rule? The table is only for four people at the window. We left not satisfied. I continued to walk up and down the street outside, and I walked back and looked in the window of the Marcy and that gentleman was eating breakfast all by himself at a table for four at the windows . What the heck. I walked into the restaurant and I said to the waiter excuse me I thought you said those tables by the window were for four people, not for anybody Less. He goes. 0h……he has friends coming. I said right I don’t think so. That was the worst service I have ever had. I will never go back. And I will tell my friends. He was rude, arrogant, unapproachable, not friendly.

So good fries. Server was lovely. The chicken Caesar salad was put together in an odd way. It looked like the SOP for building the salad was to look creative, but the dressing on the bottom of the dish and the ingredients not mixed in was the issue. Also, the croutons seemed out of the box.

FAQs

Yes, Marcy can be a lovely date-night spot if you’re after cocktails, live music and a stylish rooftop view, but be aware it can feel more like a lively bar on busy nights. Guests frequently praise the atmosphere, drinks and live bands; a few note loud music and inconsistent service on peak evenings. For a quieter, more intimate experience pick an earlier seat or a midweek night and book ahead when possible.

Midweek evenings are often the best pick for a quieter, more attentive experience, while weekend nights are best if you want live music, a lively bar and rooftop energy. Breakfast or weekday brunch is also well-reviewed for good coffee and a solid morning meal. Pick the day that matches your priorities: midweek for calm, weekend for atmosphere.

For a quieter visit, choose a weekday evening or an earlier dinner/brunch seating. Guests report lively, busy weekends with loud live music and slow service on peak nights; breakfast/brunch draws positive comments for food and coffee. If you want cocktails and a rooftop vibe, weekend live-music nights are ideal, if you want calm conversation, avoid peak weekend music nights.

Yes, Marcy offers a rooftop level that guests use for drinks and enjoying the view, and guests specifically recommend more umbrellas or shade up there. The rooftop provides an outdoor option for drinks and socializing; for specifics about patio dining or dog-friendly outdoor areas, call ahead to confirm.

Portions vary by category: small plates are designed for sharing, while the large plates and sandwiches are heartier. Guests frequently recommend the burgers and describe the small plates (like smashed potatoes/poutine) as flavorful shareables. Brunch items include substantial options like Everything Benny and the House Burger, so you’ll find both snackable small plates and filling entrees on the menu.

Casual dress is the stated policy, comfortable, relaxed attire fits well with the restaurant’s contemporary American, casual-dining vibe. Dress comfortably for a lively bar and rooftop setting; some guests go for a night out with slightly dressier looks, but formal wear isn’t required.

Generally, yes, families and teens dine here, especially for brunch and burgers. The menu leans toward comfort items (burgers, sandwiches and shareable small plates) rather than a dedicated kids’ menu, so bring flexible expectations. An earlier seating or calling ahead can help if you’re coming with young children.

Busiest: weekend evenings with live music and holiday weekends (guests report loud music and busy bar scenes). Quietest: weekday evenings and earlier brunch or breakfast slots tend to be calmer. If you prefer a relaxed meal, aim for weekday dinner or morning brunch; if you want the entertainment and rooftop buzz, choose a weekend music night.

Holiday openings aren’t explicitly listed. Guests report being very busy on holiday weekends (e.g., Memorial Day) but one guest also reported arriving for a planned brunch and being told the restaurant wasn’t open. Because holiday schedules can vary, call ahead before a public holiday to confirm hours and availability.

Yes for family-friendly seating, guests do bring families and teens, and many enjoy brunch or burgers with kids. The dining style is casual, which suits family meals. Accessibility details aren’t provided in the available information, so if accessible seating or accommodations are required, call the restaurant ahead to confirm.

Marcy blends a stylish, well-designed dining room with a lively bar and regular live music. Many guests love the decor, rooftop view and evening music, describing it as fun and vibrant. That said, service can be inconsistent and music can be loud on busy nights, so the vibe ranges from warm and festive to noisy depending on timing and crowd size.

Direct answer: Breakfast is served daily 7:00 am–11:00 am; dinner is offered Wed–Sun 4:00 pm–9:00 pm; the bar is open Wed–Sun 4:00 pm–10:00 pm. Because guests have reported occasional schedule hiccups, it’s a good idea to call ahead if you’re arriving for a special time or holiday.

Yes, while specific policies aren’t listed, guests commonly make requests for seating, dietary needs and special occasions at casual dining spots like Marcy. Because reviews show occasional seating confusion and busy nights, calling ahead to confirm reservations, request a window table or note dietary restrictions is recommended to help ensure a smoother visit.
