Family gathering ....made absolutely splendid by the careful and courteous attention of our waiter who aided us with his extensive knowledge of wine pairing ! Such passion and enthusiasm about his role made the evening a total gastronomic success !!
Excellent food and service and great ambience. The wine list is good and well priced, even though they had run out of a number of the wines on then list. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable meal.
We had a table for 6 people and so were given a ‘private room’ which lacked atmosphere , maybe would have been better if the other table in the room had also been booked by another party.
Big overall very good service, in testing menu and very enjoyable food
Absolutely incredible meal, such good value for money the quality and taste of the food was divine. Will definitely be returning!!
Nice service and food, can improve the wine list ...
great evening though
Lovely cosy restaurant with happy, friendly staff. Food was delicious, great variety of French and international dishes all reasonably priced and beautifully presented. This was our first visit and we will return soon!
I left my umbrella and contacted them by email when arriving home - they replied immediately with a warm email and promised to look after it until I returned
Although a regular, this was another great meal, with friendly staff and pleasant environment
We were greeted by a very nice man and were able to choose any table/seat because we were the only guests! It was 3 30, so maybe we missed the lunchtime rush? The free Belini was good and my water glass was refilled throughout the lunch. We ordered the cod and puy lentils which was nice. We added baby potatoes to add to the substance of the dish. The dessert options were good and the tarte tatin was ok, although I found it a little bitter.
Wonderful dinner and very well looked after by the waiter. Good value for money especially on open table offer.
Superb food and great service. Highly recommend the Foie Gras, Venison Loin and squid ink Tortellini. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful
Always very well cared for.
Beautiful romantic setting. Some of the tables are awkwardly placed, but the food was amazing and a good wine selection. I would definitely recommend.
The front of house staff are a bit strange - they stood staring at us as we ate our dinner at the bar - they distributed people oddly below in the windowless downstairs and the half full upstairs on a not full Friday night - and they openly undermined each other in front of their customers. However, they were v polite to us and the food was excellent. Odd space - not many good tables.
Excellent discovery- I will certainly return.
Probably one of the best French meals I have had in London.
Service was great. Food and wine list are evidently on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.
The service was great, we were well attended to despite the restaurant being full, and each course was servee quickly. The plates were hot which is always an added bonus :)
All in all, a fantastic Valentine's night.
authentic french food - good quality and nice staff
Always such a delicious treat and amazing service
Great service, Food beautifully presented and wine list wasn't over complicated. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt the place was well appointed and had good ambience. I shall go again
I came here during my visit to London with my daughter. Very nice atmosphere, friendly managers, very nice wine (I ordered the carignan for our restaurant in Belgium) and very tasty food! I'll be back on my next visit to London! Thanks!
A restaurant of high standard - good food and atmosphere. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Table near door was cold every time it opened but probably only an issue for 1 or 2 tables and only in the winter. One meal had meat element that was not very warm but all tased good and will go back again.
Great food and wine! Perfect for a really nice meal out.
Excellent and well presented food and amazing wine. I went for a business dinner with my boss, who is vegetarian. I had octopus as a starter and scallops for main, accompanied by a delicious glass of Sancerre. The ambience is modern, elegant and non-pretentious. The only slight downside is the noise, as the place is not particularly spacious. Service a tick too slow for my preferences but, overall, I’ll recommend it and will definitely go back. PS: the mandarin sorbet was to die for.
This wasn’t a nice meal all in all. The wine was over priced and the tuna tasted so fishy that it was off. Had high expectations and was bitterly disappointed.
Nice venue and value for set menu , only problem was that the chicken dish was slightly over cooked , I did tell the waiter to inform the kitchen but didn't think it was pervaded, if it was there was no response or recognition, which I thought having been a restauranteur was sloppy and unsatisfactory for a restaurant priding itself on quantity, shame but that's how things have changed
Excellent service and brilliant food and wines
We were very well looked after by the maitre D Andes a result the birthday family lunch was a great success
Our thanks to the team at Margaux
We will be back
The service was impeccable, lovely food, great evening
4rh meal here and again super impressed. Quality innovative takes on classic cuisine served in a cosy environment. Discreet and friendly service.
The food was absolutely great and the service is fast and top quality. I recommend!!
Delightful, cosy restaurant. Food was delicious, service attentive and we will return.
Ambiance was awesome. It was New Years Eve. We made reservations last minute a couple hours earlier. Drinks took a few minutes to come but after that everything went smoothly. 6 course tasting menu was superb. The Chef did great with his menu. I will definitely come back next time in London.
Was there for lunch, restaurant was half empty. Ambiance is stylish and elegant, food was very very good, and so was the wine selection. Service was excellent, our waiter was very attentive and friendly, and gave us good suggestions. He even offered us coffe, really nice!
Such good food and such great value, Margaux is a little gem. Can’t wait to go back.
We had a lovely meal, everything was perfect
The fod was not up to my expectation.
This was my first visit, and I found Margaux to be a charming neighbourhood restaurant. The upstairs dining area is charming, and I thought the food was very good indeed. The duck was excellent, and my wife thought the beef bourguignon was among the best she has ever tried. The waiting staff are professional and charming, and helped to make this a very enjoyable evening.
A great night and fantastic food. We started with the seared foie gras and the black truffle and ricotta gnocchi followed by honey and lavender duck breast and roasted venison all washed down with a lovely Bordeaux. A great selection of wine by glass and carafe.
Very good food for brunch (there could be a bit more options though, including sweet food) and super nice staff.
Ambience good, nice wines, food good enough but nothing very special, some of the staff distant, we did not get a warm welcome feeling when coming in and being guided to the table.
Excellent food with great wine options in an an elegant environment. Would highly recommend!
