We had a great time at Margaux for Sunday brunch. We went in early so the ambiance was still low key. But the place is nice and the staff super friendly. The brunch menu is rather short but that leads to the ingredients feeling super fresh. Best eggs royal I had in a while. Would definitely recommend. We want to go back soon to check out their diner vibe as well.
Very nice restaurant, with impeccable service. The ambience was good for a romantic meal and the food (in particular the beef bourgignon) was excellent.
A delicious Valentine’s meal. Octopus starter was a highlight, my partner had the escargot which was probably the weakest part of the meal for us.
Lamb and duck mains were both great, puddings delicious and the wine was good quality even though we had the less expensive carafes.
Value wasn’t bad, about what I’d expect for the quality of the food.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see them getting a Michelin commendation soon.
Lovely and friendly atmosphere, very appreciated all the wine suggestions.
Lovely restaurant, friendly staff & delicious food. Will certainly return
Not inexpensive, but great food and service - as always
First visit. Friendly and attentive . Relaxed seating around bar. Food was excellent, especially the duck confit. Very good selection of reasonably priced wines. Decor very modern but a relaxed and warm ambience. We will definitely return.
This is a great little restaurant with a fantastic menu that has something for everyone! My husband and I enjoyed a great dinner out last weekend and while he had meat, there were plenty of delicious vegetable and fish options for me. All was delicious and the service was great!
This was the first time I dined at Margaux and chose it to have Sunday brunch with friends. It has lovely atmosphere, the food was very good but the coffee could have been hotter -- seems to be the machine, that's what we were told. Unfortunately it was not very busy but good for us as we were not rushed.
Excellent food, attentive service. Good wine list, though pricey.
Good food, exceptionally nice service—thanks for the wine tasting.
The grilled fois gras was amazing. I followed with veal and my husband with Boeuf Bourguignon. Both dishes were excellently done, well presented, and of amble proportion. The wait staff was present without being intrusive. The atmosphere is casual, contemporary, and still cozy and romantic. It was one of the best meals I had while staying in London.
Excellent food. Our friend who is French said that the duck was the best she had ever had including in restaurants in France! The staff were attentive & friendly. There was a bit of a mix up with the dessert order but not serious and we received complimentary coffee to compensate. I would certainly eat there again and can recommend it to anyone.
Food and service were outstanding. Great atmosphere. Perfect for a romantic date.
Classic dishes, excellent tuna tartare and foie gras starters, good choice of mains, cheeses, and good wine by thev glass or bottle.
A very good welcome on arrival. Lovely restaurant. Excellent food. Great ambiance. Excellent service.. extremely impressed and we will definitely come back on our next visit to London in early 2019
We loved it all, great martinis from the bar, excellent food and just the right attention from host Gabriel.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Great service, fresh ingredients, wonderful preperation.
The best duck in London!
Great food, great people. Service was outstanding. If you need any suggestions ask for Gabriel, he’ll know how to walk you through the menu.
The food and service at Margaux were fantastic! One of the best meals I've had in a long time.
All very good. Only note is the wardrobe. When I took my jacket back, it was so stinky of fried food or kitchen smell that I thought the wardrobe was in the kitchen. After 3 days my jacket still smells...this is the thing that needs fixing as quite unpleasant. All the rest was good and we are happy
It was a very cosy restaurant With good food. We both enjoyed our food. For me the swordfish was very tasteful!
Good restaurant with good foods. Will go back.
Everything was delicious! Perfect atmosphere and amazing service!
Absolutely loved it. The chef took an inventive turn on some classic recipes. Was absolutely delicious. Service was impeccable. Looking forward to going back.
Wonderful food! Had a fabulous evening meal (Beef bourguignon, creviche, chocolate bomb). Friendly and swift service.
Very nice modern design style but warm and cosy. Nice staff, very good menu and wine list, food was impeccable. I had the octopus starter and the Angus fillet for main both perfectly prepared and delicious.
Discovered this by chance when searching for a restaurant near Gloucester road Millennium hotel. Managed to book a table for a Friday night the day before, admittedly at the end of November. Buzzing at 8 pm upstairs so we chose a quieter spot downstairs. Nice people and good food. Had a meal at a more expensive place the next day but this beat it hands down. We'll be back.
Great welcoming and fine food highly recommended. And French speaking!
Eigentijdse keuken van hoge kwaliteit. Leuke atmosfeer en supervriendelijke bediening.
Ok but no ambiance
Great meal, in a buzzy atmosphere with attentive but not oppressive service. Food was wonderful and my wife described her Bombe Chocolat as the best she's ever eaten!
We were a group of (middle aged) ladies celebrating life and friends. Our waiter was amazing making us confortable and letting us really enjoy our meal.
Beautiful romantic place. But the food was disappointing. The fish was overcooked and hard. The scallops were overwhelmed with the flavour of the oil that was used. For the prices we definitely expected better. We won't be going back.
This restaurant had been recommended to me by a friend, so I took my partner there for a date night. Initially she thought it was slightly too 'urban' in atmosphere but we both quickly relaxed as the food arrived. The food was excellent - as good as it had been built up to be - sea bass was moist and succulent, the duck melted in the mouth. Both of us were truly impressed and will definitely return. Highly recommended.
Contemporary restaurant combinibg tradition and creativity. Nice wines hy the glass. Very friendly staf. Nice atmosphere.
It was a real pleasure to dine here. We enjoyed it very much. Will not hesitate to go back the next time we are in London.
A very nice find while looking for a lunch place not too far from home. We were one of the first few to be seated and it was nice and quiet. The waiter/bartender looked after us and made me a fantastic Bloody Mary which is usually quite tricky to do. The food was very good and the waiter even suggested that we wait to order the dessert since we wouldn't quite know how full we would be after our 2 courses and he was spot on. The only downside was the annoying people who were sat next to us later half of our lunch but other than that I'd say this place is a great place to come for a nice lunch.
The dishes were all so tasty and absolutely delightful experience.. all my fussy eater girlfriend’s had a clean plates.. that tells everything. Service was so charming and perfect!! Definitely going back again!!
