    One of the best italian restaurants in London. Understated elegance of the place, with minimalist palette of colours and fabrics, very stylish. The food is delicious, very well cooked and presented, staff great and service excellent.

    This is one of the worst experiences I had in London. The food was blunt and tasteless. The portions do not help either. Honestly a very awful experience.

    Fantastic birthday evening! Excellent food - highly recommend the lobster tagliolini. Great wine menu, sommelier was very knowledgeable and suggested some great options - reasonably priced too. The team also gave my partner a birthday card when we left, a really thoughtful touch. Highly recommend and will dine again soon.

    The Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe and also the Panna Cotta with Melon were both outstanding, as was the service. Our waiter was kind enough to bring extra plates (without us having to ask) after we told him we were going to share dishes. It was also wonderful to find somewhere so peaceful and elegant to dine in such a popular tourist area.

    Food was not great - we got the scallops + beetroot salad to start, and then the chicken and turbot - both unbelievably average, no real flavour except salt which is pretty disappointing considering it’s not cheap. Not sure if we had a different chef, because can’t understand the comments raving about the food

    Starters, main course and salads were good but the cheesecake and tiramisu we had at the end were totally tasteless and unbelievable these are served in Margot! I believe they are not made from the chef and perhaps supplied from some pastries supplier so totally disappointed and drag down the whole experience for the evening with my friends.

    Sublime dining experience. Don't go expecting traditional "rustic" Italian food. This is high end cuisine with careful attention to seasonal ingredients and presentation. It isn't cheap, and is better geared to treats and celebrations costwise, but I'd rate it as the best Italian meal since we went to the Ristorante alle Corona in Venice.

    The food was good, the ambiance festive. The downside was that we felt a bit rushed to leave. Also some staff members should learn to smile a little (they could just look at some of their colleagues who were really friendly).

    Portions are small and food average. Service was good but they charge 15% service charge AND a cover charge per person. I had the set menu which was disappointing - roast cod poorly seasoned and skin not crispy. Starter few pieces of cold asparagus decorated nicely with edible flowers - looks nice but not tasty. Left very hungry. There are lots of good restaurants in Covent Garden. I won’t come back here.

    We had the pre theatre menu. Champagne cocktails were lovely. The wine was poured whilst we still had our cocktails but the sommelier apologised and replaced with cold wine once we had finished our cocktails. The asparagus starter was very sparse with only shavings of asparagus, which was a bit disappointing and a little odd. The cod main course was very bland and the potato sauce was not great. I would not have this a second time. The chicken terrine looked much more flavoursome. The focaccia was delicious and the macchiato was also very good! Overall, average, though we enjoyed the occasion.

    Excellent experience. Attentive staff, food was superb, excellent wine list. The staff was very professional, almost a little serious but overall just an outstanding experience. Will go back.

    Elegant surroundings, impeccasble service, but badly let down by the food. Our osso bucco main was reasonably tasty, but tough and the accompanying risotto was on the oily side. My apple tart was dreadful. It looked pretty, but flattered to deceive. The base was a mush of what seemed to be cake crumbs drenched in glucose - sickly sweet whatever it was, and the apple was represented by a small number of tough millimetre-thin slices, arranged nicely, yes but utterly devoid of flavour. We might give it another chance, but if we do we'll give the desserts a very wide berth.

    Such a disappointment. We’ve busted a few times previously but this time, the food quality has plumped. Food was poorly cooked - over salted, over cooked and over priced. Shocking decline sadly.
