Very nice meal, would come again. Cocktails would have been better if a 241 offer was on as they are generally exspensive

Any restaurant operating at current is going to be enacting heroic efforts to keep the doors open.

Food was good, the pork dis was a little dry and the crackling military grade in hardness - the Dartmoor burger was fantastic and not over-zealous in use of truffle oil which resulted in the sweet spot being hit.

Cocktails were fantastic and service staff were lovely.

It was however freezing inside and i noticed ours and many other tables keeping their jackets firmly on.

Overall a great night in uncertain times - we will be back

I’ve been wanting to come for ages to Margoux, after seeing lots of social media posts. The man who greeted us was friendly and gave us a menu. There were a few things not on the menu and not a huge choice on the lunch menu. The set menu choices were good. The restaurant was freezing so we asked to move seats which didn’t make it much warmer still. The decoration was nice. The toilets however were unisex and tiny so would prefer them not to be. I ordered a pornstar martini and it seemed sour compared to more creamier ones I’ve had. Not as good as other cocktail bars in exeter. Was not served with napkin or straw. The cutlery was placed in the middle of the table. Would prefer tables to be laid as this looks more in keeping with tone of restaurant. I had a burger which was amazing but the fries were disgusting and tasted like old ransid oil. Condiments served in plastic malt vinegar bottle and mayonnaise was quite cheap and tasteless. The bill came just as a piece of paper with no folder. All the points seem minor but as I was expecting a super fancy restaurant it’s that attention to detail I look for which adds to the “classiness” of the place. The interior design is the best but about the restaurant. Not much atmosphere.

We went outside in the garden which was a mess. Cushions everywhere, not really what I was expecting compared to other outdoor areas in exeter restaurants. I probably won’t come back.

We went on Christmas Eve after some rather bleak COVID news so it was quiet in the restaurant. Take nothing away from the service we received which was outstanding and the food which was wonderful! An excellent reduced menu, with a wonderful drinks menu to compliment! The chateaubriand was outstanding with the bearnaise sauce. Overall a fantastic experience and a much visit for anyone in Exeter looking for fantastic food and an ambient experience!

The food was incredibly tasty, and covid precautions very well done. Lovely staff. Atmosphere not great but only because so few in, which isn’t their fault. Will def go back

Attended with work colleagues on the 23rd, they are doing a great job with social distancing and reminders for popping your masks on when moving about, the foid was absolutely outstanding and the margarita cocktails were some of the best I’ve ever had ! Would highly recommend

Our whole family experience was lovely ! You made a special effort with my 2 vegan children ! The food was excellent cocktails amazing and the staff were perfect ! Thank you fir a lovely evening

We had a terrible visit to Margoux which is a real shame as the food was cooked amazingly, but letting drug taking rif raf in brings the whole place down

Wonderful restaurant with very reasonably priced delicious food.

My main meal was very oily. The ravioli was lovely but would've ate it all if it had much less oil it upset my stomach. Overall was a lovely evening :)

On arrival didn’t have booking.
£26 for a Meal and drink very over priced
Food was good.
Asked to leave after a hour which I refused as I had the table until 6.45.
Lots of staff but paying no attention to us.
Sat near door with a big group in garden who kept going in and out so I was freezing.
Spent £130 for not a great evening.

Great food and service but the venue is too cold to be comfortable, we left earlier than we intended to simply because we were so cold.

We had a fab afternoon. We had high tea in the garden. The food was amazing, lovely cocktails and mulled wine. The staff could not do enough for us. Excellent service. One of my favorite places to eat/drink in Exeter

Food was amazing. Best chef in Exeter We were looked after by a lovely waitress. Topped up with drinks. Who’s the Guy with the Adidas trackie bottoms on drinking a pint at the bar. I thought it was unprofessional. In this current climate when no one should be drinking at the bar.

One word - fantastic . Fantastic Foo, Drink and service. Can’t wait to go back

Good lively atmosphere, the decor was opulent so the place had a great feel & look to it. We were totally looked after but our waiter & he was great fun !! The food was delicious and we will definitely be back to see Ben & his wonderful team.

The food was just very scrummy and a good selection to choose from. Service quick. Staff very friendly.

This is the second time I have been to Margoux. Both times have been exceptional. The staff are really friendly, excellent customer service and the food is amazing! Despite the current COVID restrictions, the atmosphere has also been really lovely and relaxed. I would 100% recommend.
