An absolute gem! Wonderful experience. Have been there about 10 times now!! Will keep returning.
Excellent service and good food. Very good location.
As delightful as ever. Fifth visit and have already booked two more. A real treat for my friends .
For some of them it is the first introduction to authentic Russian food.
Nostalgia for me.
Very friendly and pleasant staff.
Loved the food!
Had a good exprience !
I’ve been 3 times already. Always great food and amazing service. Cannot find a fault! Highly recommend a visit to experience russian culture and food
Enjoyable lunch in a lovely setting. Authentic Russian dishes.
Good choice of dishes and excellent cooking.
Staff is lovely and very accommodating.
Unfortunately it didn’t come up to my expectations... was expecting better quality food.
What we got was average. Couldn’t even finish everything on my plate.
Wonderful place, great food and the best location for shopping in Knightsbridge afterwards!!
I would recommend to start with Beluga vodka as appetitive 😄and a starter to go with it (pickles celection )
Sturgeon with champagne sauce as a main course
You can have a wonderful desert at the Harrods Icecream parlour across the road or try a Russian honey cake, my all time favorite
The restaurant interior was unique and lovely. But food was average with unfriendly staff.
It is a lovely restaurant! This was my fourth visit and I have already booked three more lunches.
I invite my friends for a really good meal in a delightful setting.
A real find in London.
Tasty traditional Russian food. A bit overpriced, but worth it
Great experience! Ambiance is very cozy - I felt at home. Great decoration, friendly and attentive staff. It so cool that they thought about every small space in this restaurant - you can even listen to a fairytail (in Russian, of course) in a bathroom.
Food was good - I cannot say that it was something outstanding that I never tried, but quality is good. Napoleon (dessert) and herring salad (my favorute) were simply great!
It is a good plae where you can try Georgian wines - I think it is quite unique for London.
So, I recommend!
I love Mari Vanna. Definitely the best Russian restaurant I have ever been.
Recommended by a Russian friend and didn't let me down!
Friendly staff with authentic Russian food. The environment is so outstanding that keeps drawing my attention while waiting my food to come.
Great value for food and service. Would come again!
I am Russian and don't normally like Eastern European restaurants (because I compare everything to mom cooking), but Mari Vanna was just great!
A little pricey, but it's a beautiful ambiance, great food, very professional service and delicious vodka infusion.
If you like authentic international food and want to try something different, this is the place to be
My favourite restaurant in London, just wonderful.
Whenever we get the chance we like to Visit Mari Vanna. It is a long drive from North East Hampshire, junction 6 of the M3, but well worth the effort for authentic Russian Cuisine that makes my better half and all her friends feel like they are going back home for a visit. The sturgeon is excellent, and I have yet to be given anything that I did not like. The bill is always surprisingly expensive, but then we are talking "Knightsbridge".
We will be back.
We really enjoyed our dinner, very tasty local meals with the special ambience. Would definitely come back.
This was my third visit with friends and I shall return. It is really lovely and quaint, very pleasant staff and delicious food.
The food was not fresh at all, the Borscht, Aubergine caviar and Napoleon cake looked so overdue that had almost no taste to it.
I was there for at lunch time when the restaurant was not full. The atmosphere is nice and authentic. The service was good. The food overall was good. I ordered a lot of food for my guest to try a variety of dishes. Whereas the starters are all good, the beed stroganoff was average (good meet, but poor sauce). One avoid is the mors - not at all authentic! Just a cranberry juice thinned with water, but charged at full price.
Nothing short of amazing. My favourite restaurant in London 😉
Absolutely love this place :) Highly recommend for Birthday and other occasions :)
Russian food experience
A good traditional dinner, with outstanding service and food
Food was excellent!
Lovely restaurant, a bit shame that the set lunch menu is different than the one on their website tho.
One of the best places in London.
We were celebrating Russian Maslinisa.
Can’t remember how many times me and my friends and family visited this lovely place. Valentine’s dinning experience is incredible. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing but at the same time you feel the professionalism of the stuff. Valentine’s Day was accompanied by life music, free cocktails on arrival and thousands red balloons and rose petals. I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion not only to try “home cooked” Russian food but also to feel that atmosphere of the nice Soviet style ambience around.
Food was terrible. The place looks beautiful. Food is below average.
We loved our lunch at Mari Vanna. Food was absolutely delicious. Especially, we enjoyed our blinis, which were as good as my mom’s. I will come back with a pleasure. There are so many things to try ! And the design is lovely and cozy, too.
Good food , interesting decor. Unusual experience!!!
Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience at Mari Vanna. I took my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary to this restaurant, preparing him for his upcoming trip to Moscow. The food is very average, lacks taste and freshness. Their watered down Mors is a complete disaster. The environment and decoration is quite cute but if you care for quality of food this is really not the Russian experience you should go for. Worst of all was the service, they have a few grumpy waitors that make you want to leave as soon as possible. I would not go back and neither recommend this place.
A beautiful and quirky Russian Restaurant in Knightsbridge. Great food, decent service and lovely and cosy surroundings. But must we really have pop music in such a pretty place?
A great experience, time and money well spent! Thank you!
Good food. A bit slow service. Overall good place for Russian food.
Great Russian food and service. It will be difficult to find something better than Mari Vanna in London.
