    For the tea lovers its the place to be, beautiful shop right in the heart of Covent Garden but I was very disappointed by the lack of professionalism and customer service. I didnt like the atmosphere neither the attitude from the staff.

    My favourite tea place in London! I’m a huge fan and can’t visit London without having tea here! Working my way through the 700 teas available! 😂. Lovely atmosphere, great staff.

    It's quiet and relaxing though out side is super busy. Cakes are not too sweet very tasty. But this time, I was with someone who didn't want to take caffeine so the food and cocktail didn't work for him. It's a bit pricy but I like the space and time we were given.

    Mariage Frères is one of my peaceful spots in London where this city is always crowded. Very nice and quite environment with great services. I have been here for a few times and their tea and cakes never disappointed me. If you are looking for some light eats (salad etc.) they have also offered a range of small bites and savoury foods.

    Avoid Mariage Frères. The service was poor and the tea was tepid (!). Overall an unpleasant experience. There are many elegant tasteful places in central London for afternoon tea. Mariage Frères isn’t one of them.

    My feedback is based on the following insights: 1) Light bites were not the most favorable and 2) Honey would have been a great alternative to sugar. Never the less the experience was peaceful and quaint. I will definitely return and would highly recommend, Thank you!

    Had a great time with my friends there. Lovely atmosphere to drink tea and share some lovely desserts. My fav tea is Marco Polo and I like the light floral smell and taste. Their desserts are very interesting with different textures.

    We had afternoon tea here on a weekday and it was very lovely! Wide selection of teas and sweet treats. The dining area upstairs has pretty decor and a nice ambiance. Reasonably priced compared to other high tea places too (you can just order a la carte rather than getting a tea set menu).

    The sandwiches are disgusting. The délices, however pretty, are too modern for the Mariage Frères ambiance. The service was terrible: the wait staff are not familiar with the breadth of the tea selection; and the mixed up our two-party order. The restaurant was incredibly loud with tourist guest walking around taking photos of the decor while we tried to enjoy our afternoon tea. The TimeOut review (which was also two stars) was being generous.

    Price of tea went from £30 to £55 from the time of booking to date of arrival. Hence, we did not stay at restaurant.

    Although the reception staff ignored us for quite some time once we were sat at our table we had great service and the waitress helped us choose the tea to suit our food choice. My snob salad was delicious.

    Awful service, 15 minutes waiting to be served, they let us sitting at the table. No one approached. We could not have the family moment we were expecting. No one even apologize or showed any care, even in the presence of my 82 year old mother. Fame is not an excuse for being rude! We had to leave

    As always, the occasion was unhurried unlike in some more expensive venues. Service was attentive but in an understated way. The staff were very pleasant, knowledgeable and answered every question easily. The food was, as always, delicious. There was an extra pastry with a candle for my companion's birthday. There was no sense of rushing ( as in some very high class establishments) which gave an aura of graceful calm. The setting is so restful, light and airy. This is one of my favourite eating venues in London.

    Very disappointing and underwhelming experience. We went there for a special occasion with family but were disappointed. The sandwiches were soggy, and all the same. No one explained what we were eating. We felt cheated for the price we paid for a high-tea. To make it worse, when we asked them for a baby changing toilet, they sent us to the wheelchair enabled toilet which didn’t have a changing table. Apparently the tables were in the other toilets, which had such dim lighting that you couldn’t see the black table attached to a black wall! We went with our family for a special occasion and came back disappointed and frustrated, feeling scammed by the high price we paid, £65 per person doesn’t justify this at all. Will recommend others to not go for this option at this place. Tea with scones is all that was good. But that isn’t worth the price they charged us.

    Afternoon tea was delightful. The King’s blue tea was creamy and pretty. There were three little toasted sandwiches: shrimp, curried chicken, and vegetable. The scone had raisins. The three desserts were mind blowingly good. Different textures, smooth and creamy, crunchies on top or below. Definitely the best part of the tea was the dessert. Highly recommend this afternoon tea if you have a love for French desserts!

    I had been looking forward to visiting after researching it the year before. I was underwhelmed. My husband took me for a treat, but £50 for two small cakes and two pots of tea is very, very expensive. The coronation cakes were alright, but certainly not worth £14 each. I definitely I would not visit the London location again, maybe in Paris.

    People know their tea here and the variety is astounding. Probably had the best scones of my life so far. It's a little pricey if you have the set price afternoon tea but I recommend it anyway. Otherwise, tea and scones...tea and scones.
