This dainty Italian restaurant is a La Jolla newcomer, but it’s already made an impression thanks to standout farm-to-table fare from executive chef Cameron Ingle (of Bouchon Bistro and Bestia fame). Food was good but my portion of butternut squash ravioli seemed small. Was with another couple and husbands’ dishes came out first and we waited about 5 mins and had to alert a server that the other 2 meals never came out. By the time they did, our husbands had to return theirs to be reheated as they became cold while waiting for ours. We sat outside and it was pleasant but there was a speaker right next to us which one of the guests in our party thought was too loud. I would return to give them another chance.

Outstanding! We don’t eat out often because I have a ton of food allergies/intolerances including seed oil which is used everywhere unfortunately but they don’t here (except fryer). They use olive oil, serve pasture raised meats, and sustainable (not filled with pesticides) wine which are 3 very important things for me. Food was amazing as was the service. Plenty of options celiac/gluten free. Ambiance is beautiful. Will make this our regular go to date night.

We ordered the signature focaccia bread which did not disappoint. The squash blossoms paired nicely with the little gem salad. The dressing on the salad was notably good. My wife had the traditional carbonara and I ordered the grilled bluefin tuna. Wow! We look forward to our next visit to La Jolla where Marisi will definitely be on the menu.

Had a special occasion spoiled. Showed up early to have drinks at bar Turned away. Had to wait 20 minutes for our 8:00 pm reservation. Only a weak apology and no renumeration. Hostess staff to inexperienced to recognize shortfalls. Descent pasta but small dish size for $40 per plate and $100 min per person. Disappointing.

Very disappointing, . Nothing special to match all the hype. Just OK pasta with heavy salty sauces, limited menu for lunch, and poor service. Much better Italian restaurants around and elsewhere in San Diego.

This is the first restaurant I’ve been to where they charge you for the birthday slice of cake. Second, I ordered a short rib pasta dish, there was hardly any meat in it. And I don’t know about the extra 4% charge on your bill for “employee benefit surcharge “. What exactly is this charge for???

I love how quickly we were seated. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Both of the pastas we tried were incredible ! Service was well-timed and friendly, drinks were amazing !
