Service was slow. I asked for chicken in my pasta and the server said it was in there. There was no chicken. She did eventually get my chicken but I was halfway done.
My boyfriend and I joined you for the first time in the restaurant for Valentine’s Day and it didn’t meet the expectation. The food was great but the server was absent during our time there and didn’t attend to my personal eating restrictions. Our wine glasses weren’t removed even though we were not drinking wine. For a fine dining service it was indeed disappointing.
The restaurant and staff certainly give it their best but with the number of people coming in they just couldn't keep up.
Food was subpar and service was ok. Please keep in mind it was Valentine's Day and it was quite busy.
Valentine’s evening - felt extremely rushed. Staff seemed disorganized. Did not feel welcome. Staff on edge for something to come. Never experienced this. Hard to explain. Would not come again.
Buddha’s bowl pasta dish with vegan meatballs was awesome!
We've actually already told others about the food. Since we loved the mains. I loved the ambiance, it's what I was looking for, for this occasion. The value was great. They had a during the week special that I did not even know of prior to booking. The main entree's were delicious. Soup was cold, but we did not advise the staff. We loved the mains so that made up for it. The wait time was long considering it was not busy and even to get our bill it took time for the wait staff to return. General feeling: the staff could have been more warm and welcoming, the mood didn't come across as warm and welcoming. I did say the visit was for a birthday, no one wished him a happy birthday ever. No one even noted the occasion. Why have the option to share why you are visiting, when you don't acknowledge it?
Nice venue, a bit tired looking, but in it's "hay day" provided a good place for various parties
They have some lovely semi private areas
But they need a bit of a facelift and update to menu and decor and the vibe
First course-mussels-served cold sent back
Service very poor even at 5:30 P.M. when we were the only ones there.
Staff too busy talking to each other.
Service is bad, waiting to order takes forever. So as between dishes, my husband and i almost fell asleep..
The restaurant was not very busy but we always had to look for our waiter. The food was okay but not great. I found the dressing on the Caesar salad to cheese (I prefer it to be more of a garlic sauce). The gnocchi was not very tasty and they ran out of lamb shank so I got steak instead which was okay but the roasted potatoes tasted off. I do not think I’ll go back.
The front desk hostess was not engaging nor welcoming and never smiled. After being seated she walked away and we felt ignored by her. The waiter did promptly arrive, but never introduced himself which felt very impersonal. The ambience was disorganized even though there were minimal clients this evening. In fact the waiter was running as a one man operation preparing the beverages , taking the orders , serving every table and clearing the plates after each course. This never gave him the opportunity to ask if we were happy with the meal and to upsell
and build a rapport which would make the client experience much
more welcoming . Due to the poor client experience we will not recommend even though the meal was good as I had a goat cheese bruschetta and mussels as the appetizer, a lamb shank with beans and cheesecake to finish..
Our server was great, explained all the items and special . Made good recommendations !
Jenna was a wonderful hostess. great recommendations and excellent service!
Five of us went for a business lunch, and I have to say the Filet of Halibut with a Mushroom-Dill Rosoto I had was amazing. My clients also enjoyed their meals. Jenna our server, did everything right. She kept the mood light and service speedy. A very good sense of humour. Penolope was great to. :)
The buttnernut squash soup, and appetizers were also very good. It just seemed the soup portion should either be served in a small bowl or the portion increased. Putting a spoon flat to the bottom of the bowl, didn't even allow the soup to flow into it.
The prices were a little bit much, but the flavour of the mains made up for it.
Thank your visiting us and your feedback. We look forward to serving you again.
