The staff were so inattentive that after sitting for 15-20 minutes we left as no one came to welcome us, bring menus or water. It was really disappointing

Treated a friend to a birthday meal and we both enjoyed ourselves immensely. Neither of us had eaten at Maroush before however, we both love Lebanese food. When we arrived there was a private party in full swing so it wasn’t clear which entrance - there are two - non-party guests were supposed to use, as the private event spaces appeared to cover both entrance door areas. With that said, once inside and making it clear to bar staff that we were there for a dinner booking, everything was smooth afterwards. Room we were in was gorgeous with an ornate oversized chandelier as its focal point, which set the tone perfectly. Waiter service was good without being overbearing. We both had the same dishes so I can definitely recommend the lentil soup for starters, with the lamb cutlets for main, which were cooked to perfection. The main does automatically come with chips, small salad and pitta bread however, we also ordered a fattoush salad to share. Neither of us had dessert. All in all the bill came to just over £80 incl service charge. I will happily visit Maroush again.

I used to miss the Edgware Road branch but not anymore! The best Lebanese food in London.

Sadly not as good as we hoped. Service was chaotic and at the start oddly aggressive. The waiting staff also seemed very angry with each other. Dishes were brought out at different times or missed altogether. Food was ok but nothing special. The area we were eating was more like a bar and had drunk noisy people wandering around. Then the restaurant turned on some incredibly noisy music at 9:30. So we left! The waiter tried to make amends as he knew the service had been poor by bringing us a plate of baclava. But too late.

Mother’s Day was a great success thanks to attentive service and delicious food. We arrived early and were the only table in the side room. However, it soon filled up and locals and with Lebanese families (always a good sign of authenticity). The starters were plentiful and fresh especially the Fattoush salad and overall good value for money. I would’ve liked bit of music or softened the decor somehow. The pub is in an upstanding Victorian building with its original features.

Although in a beautiful setting, there were very few people there. Initially, I thought I was because it was mid week. Based on my experience, the lack of clients probably reflects the general standard of the restaurant. The service was indifferent, basic dishes were off the menu, such as chicken Shawarma, and the lamb tasted like dried out reheated mutton.

We left after our starters, which were decent, as they had a full on party going on in one of the main rooms and we could not hear ourselves talk. They said it would be over after half an hour they went on for awhile. They should’ve made guess the way when they’re booking that we have a party on that would be very very noisy.
