Very good lunch superbly served and excellent attention throughout!
Defo worth a visit.
Lovely French bistro atmosphere, delicious food, good cocktails, and not too far and not too close to the bustling Theater District mania. Parfait!
Loved the waitress. She was amazing.
i cannot believe that anyone who has ever eaten food would like this overpriced dump.starting with a $19 glass of white wine and a $10 beer,we then ordered a small salad for $14 which was totally uninspiring. Then for only $39 I ordered lamb, medium rare, It tasted nothing like lamb and was tough and difficult to chew if you could find the meet between the bones. The tablespoon of mashed potatoes was delicious as well as the two slices of carrots.Went home hungry and angry. Should have known it would be bad if we could get reservations at 7:30 on a Friday.
Cadre très sympathique et cuisine très agréable. La référence à Marseille est plus dans le nom du restaurant que dans les propositions de la carte. Restaurant très fréquenté par les New-Yorkais. Une bonne adresse à retenir.
Excellent service and very good food and overall experience.
Excellent place for pre theatre dinner. Mediterranean Salad evokes memories of the summer. And the roast chicken is among the best in NYC.
Fantastic restaurant, service was excellent, food was perfection.
Great solid neighborhood restaurant!
What a wonderful surprise , as one was simply trying to escape the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree mob and a great friend recommended Marseille. My son joined me for an early supper and immediately said , “here’s our new pre theater dining spot ! “ He had not even seen the charming and bustling bar or pamplemousse cocktail or oysters....
From the beginning to end , it was a lovely dining experience with perfect menu and service !
Can not say enough good things about Marseille .
Merci Mille fois .
We arrived after the theater crowd left so the place was not busy and it took about 10 minutes before we encountered a waiter to order a bottle of wine and our meal. I had to ask twice for the bottle of wine we ordered and our appetizer arrived before the wine. Then, after putting the wine on ice, it took forever to hail a waiter to refill our wine glasses. We then asked that the bottle be kept on the table. No one ever asked to refill our guest's ginger ale. The food was generally very good as usual. Our flavors of sorbet which we ordered was wrong and the check took forever to come after the meal. It seemed like we were the forgotten table.
Delicious food - A recommended spot if you are staying around the Theatre district/ Times Square.
Still a good choice pre theater. But it's getting a but tired. Rack of lamb ordered medium rare was a few chops cooked medium. Cocktails less appealing than past -- the one I had was almost undrinkably tart.
As always wonderful service and delicious food.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving evening! Thank you so much!
Thanksgiving diner gehad. Leuke plek, service was goed en heerlijk gegeten
We were here at Thanksgiving and we ate the 3-course Thanksgiving dinner. It was our first Thanksgiving. We all ordered different starters but as main dish we all chose the Thanksgiving turkey and to dessert we all chose the pumpkin pie. The food was really great and we all liked it!
Food always Wonderful & a Great wine list!!
Such a great breakfast/brunch. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids, we all felt so welcomed. Our server was incredible and the food was equally as good!
We ordered the oysters (fantastic). I had the NY Hanger steak with frites and béarnaise sauce on the side (cooked to perfection). The dessert was especially unique; goat cheese cheesecake which was equally delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!
If you do t m8 d very noisy it’s the best place In that neighborhood.....I’ve eaten there for years and it usually is quite wood, although not as good as it used to be.....menu does not change often enough and portions are irregular......sometimes huge....enough to share, and other times, average.
Marseille is consistently superb. We go here pre theatre and we are always welcomed warmly and served a beautiful meal. Extremely reliable. They check your curtain time and get you to your show with time to spare.
Lively ( but noisy), popular place for brunch and deservedly so. Not the the ho-him choices and the shakshuka was particularly good. Great ambience and value!
Most delicious omelettes! Always a delightful dining experience!
Marseille is a pre theatre go-to. Food is bistrot standard in terms of choices but is well done. The best reason to go however- and I hate to let the secret out - is the wine list, not only in terms of selection, which is far wider than you’d expect at a place like this, but also the fair pricing. I am really fed up with restaurants charging 3.5x or sometimes 4x for a bottle. - it is an insult. It is getting harder and harder to find NYC restaurants that don’t gouge you on wine price - and not just the cheaper end where you could rationalize it as a sort of embedded corkage fee, but even for wines that retail for $120 and show up on a list at over $400. I simply refuse to pay that. Marseille is far more reasonable about pricing, and the selection is well researched and interesting. So a big thank you to them.
Always great food, always great service and particularly aware of getting your food to you quickly if you have show tickets. It's a regular stop if we're in the city.
This is one of my favorite restaurants so I was a bit disappointed when you entrees arrived cold.
Pre theater dinner. Always a go-to for that! Never a problem with being in and out in time and waitstaff are lovely. Not over priced and very good food with lovey ambiance.
wonderful French bistro. Excellent, relaxed service. We went on a weeknight at 7 and were not rushed. Great wine list.
Have been here a number of times. Food is consistently good. However, first time service was inattentive and a bit flippant. There are many choices pre theater in the neighborhood-they need to make more of an effort.
Our service was not good. Just a few tables seated but we waited a long time for drinks and Burned bread 🥖 I wish I had taken a picture. We asked for non burned bread and received a single plate of 3 slices bread for 9 people.
The service was inattentive - the food was pretty good, but the burned bread and lack of attention colored our experience.
Good service. Wonderful selection and delicious food. Very pleasant atmosphere. Party of eight. Loved it.
We eat here quite often. The menu has changed, as it goes several tines a year, and the changes are generally very good. That sad, the polenta as side dish had been sitting under the heat lamp too long and was not in the best form as a result. Nice to see women wait staff too--they had been noticeably absent of late. Still the best bet for pre-theatre in the theatre district.
Perfect pre theatre venue; reliable bistro food.
Overall, nothing to complain. Tasty food and great service.
Ali was a fabulous waiter. Group of 9 came back the next night to see him again. What a jewel.
Service was good but food was just ok.
We were not as thrilled with our dinners as we usually are. My dinner partners did not like the salad dressing. And the mussels were too salty
I enjoyed my vegetable couscous.
We could not have good conversation. Too loud in there.
