Masons restaurant bar
Really lovely restaurant. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Food was simply gorgeous. The Sunday lunch was absolutely lush! Highly recommended.
Fantastic venue with outstanding food, chateaubriande was first class
Lunch menu amazing value for money. Great quality food, great service and lovely setting, can’t wait to return
Very enjoyable meal. Nice surroundings, high quality of food and attentive staff. Impressive selection of different gins each described by the waitress from the gin trolley.
We had lunch on Friday 9/8/19. The whole experience, food and service was excellent
Masons is a fantastic dining experience which is currently on its way up.
The ambiance is unusual and interesting in this old Masonic hall.
The staff are attentive and the food is not rushed.
Had a great time and would highly recommend Masons.
Very friendly service & lovely decor but food only so so at best. Lacking in flavour & seasoning.
Excellent and attentive service
The restaurant itself is calm and unpretentious. The restaurant team we’re extremely personable and attentive throughout our meal. The food was excellent and didn’t disappoint in taste. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any dining occasion.
Lovely food, Execllent service.
It was alright. Great service but food average
This was our second visit to Masons, the restaurant decor is beautiful, service was excellent & food was delicious (still dreaming of the garlicy potato’s!!)
Went to Masons for a friend’s birthday. Staff were so lovely and the venue was fancy. Had the fillet steak but it could have used a sauce of some kind as this would have added to it.
Also not great value for money.
Had a great breakfast with my friend. Love the English breakfast... the manager is super nice. Great service great food ;)
Very good food and even better service by Tony and Miguel. Recommended!
Great food and excellent service
Excellent service - helpful and polite but not officious.
Good selection of fish dishes at a reasonable price. Meals are fine dining quality but you can also have a drink and a snack.
I was treated by my daughters to a gift card for Masons. Myself and my husband were extremely impressed with the whole experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff were extremely friendly. The service was spot on. Tony our waiter was brilliant. The food delicious and beautifully presented. Will definitely be going back .
Beautiful restaurant with excellent service & food. 5 stars
Excellent food, service and outstanding venue. Would definitely recommend
The food was delicious, the service was very good - happy that we weren't pressured into buying extra sides - our waiter was very knowledgeable in respect of the portion sizes. It isn't an "every day" restaurant, but will certainly return especially when we need to spoil ourselves.
I am a lady of a certain age who appreciates nice food presented well by
excelllent staff. Masons is still scoring on allpoints
My scallops with artichoke were as always fabulous. The steak cooked as I wished was beautiful. I adore the chunky chips although on this occasion they were not quite as crispy as usual. As for the chocolate/coffee dessert it hit the spots other desserts cannot reach!!! I have NO complaints about Masons. This historic building has a special place in my heart and the food compliments the surroundings beautifully. I consider the commute from Lytham well worth the effort and believe me are not short of great places to eat on my doorstep. Looking forward to trying the new summer menu.
Our visit began with a wonderful warm welcome from front of house and they stayed
polite and attentive throughout our stay.
Lovely hot coffee was served while we chose our breakfast menu.
Our breakfasts were delicious and I particularly liked the sausages
and the way they were cooked. I would love to come again.
Excellent, attentive and friendly service. Very good food. Fairly compact menu (which I always trust more). Nice open but inviting interior with comfy seating; table a little too high. Highly
Fabulous food and service. Perfect for a special occasion
Great food presented beautifully by efficient and friendly staff. The best chunky chips in Manchester.
Julija was perfect waiter.
main course - rabbit- dry meat
Love the beautiful tastes of the stunning food presented like art on the plate. Fine dining and incredible service with a great atmosphere. With perfect decor, ambiance and restaurant. Masons is a desirable, must-visit restaurant.
Excellent food. Really delicious. Perfectly cooked.
Waiters were lovely and humourous.
Fantastic restaurant, service and delicious food! Thanks for a great night
Second visit to the Masons and the food and service was excellent.
Our first visit was a busy Saturday and our second on a quiet Wednesday.
We will be returning.
6 of us went to Masons Bar after the Manchester 10k for Sunday lunch. The butternut squash soup was hands down the best soup I have ever had. Everyone on our table commented on how good it was. The roast dinner was also lovely and well presented. Cauliflower cheese came in a separate dish and the gravy was served in a tiny pan. Overall, a Great lunch in beautiful surroundings.
Excellent staff tables not too close together which is great food was excellent
This restaurant offers the full package. Excellent food, impeccable service and a superb ambiance. During our midweek visit my partner and I went for the Chateaubriand sharing plate, with the accompanying vegetables and the probably the best fondant potatoes I’ve tasted. In fact I’ll go as far as saying that from the Scallop starters, aforementioned mains and the house Pannacotta dessert this was by far one of the best executed meals I’ve had in a long time. We past on our compliments to the chefs. Definitely worth a visit, great cocktails too..
Very busy breakfast when we arrived meant that our order was slightly delayed and mine was ever so slightly wrong, but the food is excellent and the chap in charge excellent!
Enjoyable lunch with an old friend. We were made to feel very welcome. My steak was a bit on the tough side but friend’s salmon salad was delicious. Delightful building.
Living quite close to The Masons, I watched the refurbishment of this building with great interest. Once completed and trading as the Masons, I was very eager to try it out, as the restaurant looked gorgeous. We booked a table for a Sunday early dinner, we were a group of six friends on a sort of reunion. The service could not be faulted from start to finish, our waitress was a Polish girl and was very professional, however some of the food elements were disappointing. One of the party is pescatarian, ordered an aubergine humus as a starter, this was not at all pleasant to eat, we told the waitress and she changed it for smoked salmon, which was lovely. For mains, three of us had the sirloin of beef for which a £2 supplement was charged on a fixed price menu, in the first instance we had to ask for steak knives as the beef was hard to cut, but then it was really tough and hard to chew. The other dishes were ok but nothing sensational. Again we pointed this out to our waitress and she took a percentage off the bill. We didn’t want our bill to be reduced, it was a special occasion for us, we just wanted to be as delighted with the food as much as we were with the restaurant.
I have to say it was a disappointment but could be so good.
Gorgeous setting and lovely food. Friends didn’t enjoy the toast with prawn cocktail starter and would have wanted soft bread instead. I had carpaccio and rabbit and both were stunning and gluten free was no issue. Wine options lovely. The decor is stunning but feel they need to get the ambience music right. Food wonderful though and I can’t wait to go again. Had a voucher which made it brilliant vslue
Food not hot enough, beef very fatty, slow service although staff very pleasant and helpful,
I took my mum for lunch one Sunday. The waiters were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very nice and beautifully presented. My mum who is usually very picky had a wonderful time and we will definitely go back.
