Masons restaurant bar
Fantastic venue, beautiful building and amazing service.
Lovely ambiance, and 5 star service, we were taking advantage of the January offer so very good value, looking forward to visiting again
Great food and accommodating staff!
We shared the chateubriand for two, gorgeous. Malbec very nice. Staff lovely.
Surprised to be charged for a little extra gravy. Disappointed with the bitter chocolate orange tart.
No starters, one dessert, one bottle of red, bill just under £100.
The overall experience was great. Kind, welcoming staff always on hand to help out if anything was required. Food was excellent and we were sat in a quiet individual booth. The ambience was lovely with the restaurant busy yet still not too noisy.
I ate using the 50% off food January offer, so take value scoring with that in mind.
Beef Wellington was amazing.
Met for brunch with friends. Was given a lovely booth so we could chat easily to each other. Staff very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the full English breakfast with tea, but went on to have delicious belinni’s.
Relaxing and comfortable ambience as we took our time. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Will certainly return again soon
Lovely meal. Great presentation. 1 small criticism was drink service was a little slow.
Booked a table for 4 and was sat quickly at a table for 8; resulting in the server having to work / lean over us to remove the unoccupied place settings.
The food was quite simply overcooked . I ordered the duck that came grey and sat on top of a mountain of rocket. All I can say about the beef wellington is 'how dare you do that to a beef fillet'. It was so over cooked it was stringy.
This may explain why the servers did their best to avoid are table; just dump the food and run.
If I'd been paying full price I would be angry but I will take it as a learning experience avoid Masons from now on.
Great meal atmosphere and excellent service in fact the whole Masons experience was a a great start to the evening I would definitely visit Masons again and recommend it to family and friends.
Top quality food and service. I would definitely recommend for any special occasion.
Eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Excellent food in a very quirky, relaxed atmosphere.
Hidden gem in Manchester. Elegance and class topped off with service of the highest order
We were a party of 5 celebrating a birthday . We started the day at Mason’s having breakfast. We all had excellent meals and the staff are very accommodating. You will not be disappointed if you chose Mason’s
British classics with a modern twist. Food was full of flavour and looked great. Reasonably priced wine list and one of the best espresso martinis I've had in a long time. Beautiful building and great service
Intimate restaurant. Food good but wine choice could be better. Desserts are unimaginative.
Loud and poor singer. Spoiled our evening. Couldn’t hear each other. Staff tried to turn volume down but he was far to loud.
Masons is a Gem of a place to eat and I would recommend to anyone living or visiting Manchester. Not only is the food great but the building is something to be enjoyed.
We went for Sunday lunch - food was good, service was great and lovely atmosphere. We’ll go back.
I booked online and rang ahead to double check that the date I’d booked for we would be eligible for the January 50% off deal which I was told we definitely would be. We arrived, was seated at a table to be told a moment later that it was the wrong table and was moved. We chose our orders to be then told we’d been given the wrong menu, and that the menu of the day was not eligible for the 50% off. The food arrived and was pretty cold. We were served by at least 5 different waiters, asked if we wanted the bill twice and tried to take payment twice. Just lots of little things that let the service and experience down. It’s a shame because I have visited Masons before and had a wonderful experience.
Masons is a beautiful place. The food and service superb. A place to go for a special occasion.
We love this restaurant. The food is excellent, as is the presentation and service. The staff are friendly and the surroundings beautiful. The prices are very reasonable especially considering the quality. They have a good selection of wines at fair prices. We usually take advantage of the offers on which are certainly worth checking. We would certainly recommend the chateaubriand and the desserts are the best I've ever eaten! Most definitely one our favourite restaurants in Manchester.
Lovely mains and amazing deserts.
Starter of scallops was dreadfull. Amazed it was served to the customer.
The food was good but we had Turbot in Barolo sauce. Whilst the ingredients where good, the combination didn’t work. Can’t fault the staff and service.
Good variety of food ,well presented ,good service generally. Masons is a good place to dine out and is easy accessible to all aervices Well done
Restaurant is lovely, food presentation was good, the food was ok. Vegetables were undercooked and potatoes lacked taste. Service was very poor. I wouldn't go back to Masons.
Once again a fabulous meal at Masons; the food is the highest quality well cooked and so imaginatively presented.
It’s a lovely comfortable experience and the building so interesting too.
Fab restaurant with lovely staff defo be back it was just great
Absolutely lovely staff and food. 50% off food for the whole of January yay!
Attentive staff as always. Always hah pit to go above and beyond, nothing is to much trouble. Food was beautiful as always
Very nice place , great staff food was lovely but you need 3 course to make you feel full but would go back again
Absolutely fantastic three course lunch at Masons! This was my first visit and will certainly be back. Service was also brilliant and all staff are really friendly and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful meal.
Exceptional food, good service and great value
Well worth a visit
Food was incredible. Staff were lovely. Perfect ambience. Pricey but well worth it.
Overall the experience was very disappointing. Food was cold, mash potatoes were not cooked correctly and lumpy. It felt as the diner was just heated up rather than freshly cooked.
Good food. Rather cold atmosphere Service could be a bit more attentive. Lovely venue.
Perfect apart from the overcooked sprouts! Service was great and one of the best gin martinis in Manchester
Food was delicious, was bit concerned that the portion size might be too small but we all left very satisfied. The pork cheeks were melt in the mouth and the hake was perfectly cooked. The bombay potatoes n okra with it was a nice alternative, very tasty.
Particularly liked the deconstructed cheesecake...not sure why they deconstruct but was better than the chocolate tart...which i would normally favour. The crumb (base) was v yummy!
All in all a really great dining experience...and glad i booked it! P.s. love the green velvet booths
Great Food, Drinks, Service & Experience as always. Many thanks to Alex and Rihanna
Perfect attention to us as customers the food was served as we asked for it the lunch time menu is good value for money with a glass of wine or beer included finished off with coffee that was extra .It’s a quiet restaurant with the right balance at lunchtime I’ve been without booking but didn’t want to chance it during the Christmas season Very happy to eat here
