Massimo should be ashamed of himself as an Italian, to charge five dollars for bread to be put on the table!!!! Especially for the prices he charges! Disgrace!
Our waiter was good. Best Caprese salad I have had. Gnocchi was lacking flavor and the portion size was too small. Another in our party had the chicken and it took him twice as long to finish his meal as he was given a decent amount of food on his plate. The sauce needed more pizazz. Where was the parmesan? Where was the cracked black pepper or accompanying bread usually received with pasta dishes? Desserts we're underwhelming. Trio ciocolatte needed a coffee to go with it as the biscuits we're so dry. Tirimasu ladyfingers we're not soaked well enough and lacked flavor too. Overall disappointing dinner especially for the prices charged. The restaurant needs to do better.
The food was great. Chef was fantastic. Our waitress (Sasha) was wonderful. Only recommendation would be is that they had carts with all of the dirty dishes that they would roll by the waiting line for tables. Would suggest that they cover them up. The view of the Falls was awesome and everything was perfect!
I was disappointed with my meal. My pasta was hard, as if it were sitting in front of a heat lamp while they prepared the other meals my family had which were good. Very pricey 360 Canadian dollars for 2 adult and 2 children
The amount of food for the price was shocking. But then again, it is located in a Sheraton Hotel so they will charge more.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Absolutely unacceptable service. From the beginning, they gave away my reservation, and I had to settle for a smaller table. After we ordered, it took over one hour and a half for the food that never arrived. When I asked the waiter about our food, he kept on saying it was on its way, but that moment never came. Eventually, I ordered the bill with just the appetizer and water we had ordered.
Absolutely atrocious restaurant and overpriced for the food. The calamari was bland and overpriced and the main courses never came. This restaurant is not befitting of even one star quality. Would not recommend this to anyone.
From start to finish this was a fantastic experience.... Matt was a terrific server ... food done to perfection. Highly highly recommend to anyone heading th Niagara Falls CA
Great place for the view over the falls
Combined the Buffet and Massimo's (Previously Jamie Kennedy's) so you are in a private smaller area than the buffet separated by a curtain. Tried to make it intimate. Window seating is recommended however, every able has a view of the American or Niagara Falls. Food is much better at Massimo's in the Sheraton than the other hotel. So if you haven't been back since, give it a try. Staff is very friendly, however pretty rigid on their menu. Suggest you review their menu online prior to booking to ensure you see something you like. Otherwise, you may have to compromise and at those prices you want what you want. Iwould recommend and return next time back in the falls.
Lovely attentive staff and the food is good. Appetizer was great - we had the brushcetta and calamari. Pasta was great. Lamb could have been better. Dessert was phenomenal.
You come here for the view and it's beautiful. Overlooking the falls, you can seeboth American and horseshoe falls. The fireworks at ten looked gorgeous as well.
I'd go again, but I'd stick with the pasta.
The wait for dinner after ordering was well over an hour, the beef medallion and veggies was very however the gnocchi was just ok. Very pricey for what we got. The waitress was very nice, however, I believe the kitchen slowed her down. When asked about time she offered to bring bread, which we accepted. While the charge was nominal, I would not expect a fine restaurant to ask you to wait then not provide complimentary bread. Room for improvement.
We had a lovely dinner. I requested a window table for a special occasion in my reservation and we were seated in a great spot. The carbonara and gnocchi were awesome. The rigatoni was excellent. The focaccia and calamari were also great.
Food and service were on par with the view. Unfortunately the price was also as breathtaking as the view.
Even though I knew it going in, still added up very quickly to an amount that questions the value of the experience.
Great food and great portions. The view was incredible and the restaurant was quite elegant. However, the service was slow and lack the friendliness we were hoping for, left feeling unwanted, 4/5 stars overall
My second third visit and the food was not what I was use to. The starter was excellent but my main and desert were sub par. I asked for my meat dish to be medium rare but it was over cooked and over salted.
The desert sounded great but it lacked
Not sure I would re visit. Just hope my clients enjoyed it more than me.
Decent meal with a stellar view of the falls. Good service and the quality of the meal was standard hotel restaurant fare.
It was very crowded and noisy for our 845 reservation. Service from our waitress was very good. Food quality was below average considering the prices were far above average. Our order of plain garlic bread priced out at 18 dollars before tax. It looked like my rigatoni was under a heat lamp before it was brought out. The pasta was under cooked and tough to chew on all three dishes ordered at our table. Also found it extremely dark at the table and my wife used her phone flashlight to read the menu. I was expecting a little better than this from a well known chef. I give it a somewhat generous 3 stars.
Food was over priced and tasteless. We Will not return
2 hrs+ waiting to be seved, Kids at our table were starving. Would have liked to have our wine with the meal.
Price high but not an issue providing the service was on par. Restaurant was not busy, cant rely just on the view. Won't be back.
Our waiter was fine, nothing good or bad, but the food was the worst part of this experience. The rigatoni was very hard, and the gnocchi was too mushy and stringy. Even if the pasta had been cooked correctly, the sauces were not very good. Even the bread wasn't great. Pretty basic and bland with no olive oil offered to dip it in. While everything in Niagara Falls is more expensive because it's touristy, the poor food did not merit the high prices. Too bad because it's a really nice view from the restaurant.
Worth every penny! We enjoyed a lovely meal while the sun set and the lights lit up the Falls.
The portions weren’t relative to the price we paid. Appetizers were very good but the main course was lacking in flavour. We found it very expensive for the amount of food we had and would have paid a lot less back home for more food.
Great view of the falls but disappointed about leaving with a 300$ for 3 adults and 1 child.
Overpriced for the amount of food we received. The view was beautiful but you can have the same view from the buffet next door for 1/2 the price and double the food.
Definitely a must when at Niagara Falls Canada!!! Food is outstanding and view is spectacular. Price is on high side but well worth the splurge.
Our dinner was amazing ! The view spectacular ! Service flawless ! Sasha ( Our waitress) was very attentive, extremely friendly along with the ultimate customer service ! so pleased
The restaurant is hyped as THE restaurant in Niagara Falls (Whig isn’t too hard unless you love fried food) but the service was lacking, they were out of the one item I wanted and the furnishings look like they are 10 years past due for replacement. The view is great - the three bachelorette parties were hugely annoying and the “who cares” attitude of our server was inexcusable. They even screwed up a martini (it tasted like it was vodka and 3 tablespoons of salt with a few gross jarred olives thrown in to add to the already too saltiness.
Go for a drink and to see the Falls and save your money and skip the food. Masimo may want to stop by by and check out this disappointing eatery.
Disappointing meal for 3 out of 4 of us. (Husband loved his seafood linguine). Carbonara was overpowered by the double smoked bacon, bolognese was overpowered by oregano and the gnocchi, which had a really tasty sauce, was so over cooked that a lot of it was unrecognisable as gnocchi. Nice server. Nice wine. Very expensive
Went out of my way to visit due to the reviews on trip advisor relaying that they had vegan options. Aside from bread and water, this is not true. However, the kitchen was able to accommodate and create a olive oil garlic pasta. Would be great to see some vegan options pop up here, perhaps the ravioli without cheese? (It sounded delicious!)
We dined here on a Friday evening for my daughters 17th birthday. The best thing about the restaurant was the view. The falls are spectacular. The food was good but the portions were very small. My husband and I ordered iced tea which was in a 8oz glass and never refilled for almost $4 a glass. The early dining special was a good value but our portions were smaller than our sons kids meal. The menu is also very limited. We would probably choose the buffet if we ate at the Sheraton again.
Excellent food! Beautiful view! Cosy place!
But very expensive and they charge fireworks and view taxes on top of the basic tax.
Food was excellent & the view spectacular. The waitresses was patient and helpful. Fireworks at 10.
Everything was just perfect! The food was excellent, and the service awsome. Sasha was attentive to our needs and more. I hightly recommande a diner so you can also have a look at the Falls at night while having your meal.
Son came from Saskatchewan
Our dinner at Massimo's was incredible! The food was wonderful, the service incredible, and the view spectacular! Not a cheap night out, but definitely worth the money. My only criticism is that for a higher end Italian restaurant, they can't make cappuccinos or lattes - they have an espresso machine, but no milk steamer ... a bit of a damper, but still worth the visit.
Excellent at all level, the view was magnificient et the food too. We loved every moment during our visit. Thanks to everybody.
I went on a date here and it was fantastic! The server was so nice and the view was unbeatable. It is expensive, but well worth it for us. If you’re looking for a classy place to have a romantic dinner, then I would certainly recommend this restaurant. Side note about the parking situation - it is very difficult to find parking near this hotel (Sheraton). I recommend taking an Uber here or walking if you are staying elsewhere.
Dinner was excellent, Service was spectacular!! Really enjoyed our dinner there.
Excellent evening out for anniversary. a little dark in restaurant, but we had table overlooking the falls - and fireworks. Special was great.
