Massis Grill & Bar

Booked the venue weeks in advance after confirming my attendance the day before, arrived and the place was shut! Absolutely appalling.

We confirmed our booking for the restaurant as requested and yet when we got there it was all closed up so we had to find somewhere else to eat. It would have been nice to have been informed that the restaurant was closed. Not happy at all!!!!

Booking confirmed and wasn’t even open when we arrived.

Booked online, confirmed the reminder - travelled to London to meet a colleague and it was closed - suggest you turn the online booking system off if you aren't open - basics really!

They weren't open, even though I could book a table and their twitter page said they were.

Most amazing authentic Lebanese restaurant with the best vegan moussaka. They have gluten free , veggie, vegan and meat options so literally something for everyone. Food and service exceptional. Try some of the Lebanese wine - an unexpected delight . Will definitely be returning

This is my second visit to this restaurant. The food is very good and delicate as Lebanese food should be. I highly recommend it

Service was very good, staff were efficient and quick with the service.

I love coming back here for several reasons. It's very conveniently between my place of work and the train station, I love this type of cuisine and the quality / cost ratio is fantastic. If you are a bit hard of hearing, the noise level can be very troublesome, but there are always options to sit outside or you could come for a very early or late dinner (We may have been the last ones to leave once or twice :))
Staff are very friendly and accommodating, too. I'm a fan of their house wine, although it is French rather than Lebanese.

The food was nice. Service was prompt. The experience was not perfect due to the noise from the party on the next table, and also because our group of 5 was sat at two round tables, making it not easy to hear or be heard over the crowd at the next table.

The food was simply amazing and the view was lovely too. Starters and mains were simply good and cocktails were good too!

The food and ambience was great. The service was quick and faultless. Very nice location and venue for a business or social meal.

Fantastic friendly service from everyone. Delicious authentic Lebanese cuisine brought to table in good time and at the perfect temperature. Staff very time-conscious and efficient without appearing hurried or rushed. Great experience; I will certainly be returning.

Had dinner here on Thursday 17th October, booked with caution after reading mixed reviews. Was really impressed,great service, food (both starters and mains) delicious and fantastic wine. Definitely recommend

My partner and myself had dinner at Massis unfortunately they only had two waitresses and therefore service was extremely slow and due to the waitresses language barrier wrong food recommendations were made. There was no offer of drinks when our glasses were clearly empty likewise we had to put our empty plates on an empty table beside us as the waitress wasn't around to clear the table.Overall this is a very nice restaurant but lack of waiting staff and seemingly limited knowledge of dishes on the menu dampened our dining experience

Planned an evening with my cousins to eat & then have shisha as they traveled in from St Albans only to find when we got there they had stopped shisha., but had not updated there website. We were very disappointed as wanted to stay on one place all evening .

The manager was very sympathetic & for the inconvenience & gave us a bottle of Prosecco which was a very kind gesture.

The overall food was very fresh &. tasty but the bread was cold & hard . Hopefully they may change that to a better quality .

This was a quiet, elegant restaurant with a nice menu. It was fairly empty all evening which was surprising for a busy Friday night. This gave it less of an atmosphere in comparison to other local eateries. The cocktails were delicious. Food was fairly nice, standard lebanese cuisine that I could get in many places, but I felt it was nothing special that warranted the high prices. Our waitress was new so couldn't answer any of our questions about menu items but she tried hard. Okay overall.

Poor quality food and really slow service in an almost empty restaurant

The setting is nice with outside seating. Unfortunately, the service and food were hit or miss. The lamb was fatty and the pitta bread although soaked in grease was still hard!! Overall a tasteless dish.

Relaxed restaurant where nothing is hurried.
A recommendation to try the Lebanese wine was much appreciated and proved to be quite a treat.
Probably best to seek recommendations on the best dishes that day and check the details carefully.

The food was excellent, consistently across all 6 of us who ate there. It was quiet-ish, though there were many waiting staff. They were competent, but could be a bit more friendly and attentive.

The restaurant is well appointed and seating is comfortable. The food was delicious and generous portion wise. The food was quick to arrive. I loved that they delivered water to the table while we had time to browse the menu for our food choices. The service was fantastic to begin with until I had to ask for my other dish that was supposed to be with my main. Given I asked to have 2 starters to be my main dish I can see how this might be unusual from the normal. But at the end of the meal after asking for the bill we waited more than 15 minutes for someone to come back with the card machine to take payment. I get the feeling that service is usually amazing, but they let themselves down on the night by switching between staff with doing service and not clearly communicating amongst themselves. Had service and communication been better this would have been deserving of 5 stars.

Went on a Friday night in a group of five. Relaxed feel and service, shared grill platters were excellent with good quality and well-cookies variety of meats. Would definitely come again.

Food was good, potion sizes generous. Would get 5 stars if the waiting staff encouraged ordering lots of the small plates for variety!

Massis had a great atmosphere and delicious food. I’d particularly recommend it for small groups (4 or less) and vegetarians / vegans. Unfortunately service was a little slow despite the number of people on the floor.

The food is average if slightly overpriced. Service is very good. However, we found it very noisy on a Friday night and thought the restaurant is best suited to large groups.

Great service and friendly staff. Slightly slow to attend but nothing that impacted the enjoyment of the evening and venue. Some of the pickles to me an my guest were insanely salty but I guess this is a matter of taste. Rest of the food was authentic and well cooked and presented. Thanks.

Nice venue, lively and busy, food excellent but found the portions very small.

2nd. visit. Good food & atmosphere & wonderful service & all @ a fakir price. Will be a "must go" destination on future stays @ Paddinton Central.
