Master Chef Chinese Fusion Restaurant
I thought it was more of a Sat night restaurant but it wasn’t. Just a Chinese restaurant. Everything we ordered was very good!!!!! Service, Ambiance & Lighting - eh!!!!
Service was a disaster- what a disappointment.
MASTER CHEF SHOULD BE RENAMED MASTER WAIT! Always enjoyed dining here BUT tonight was horrible! Waited an hour for a small part of our order which consisted of A soup, a ginger ale and one small appetizer! WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE KITCHEN?? Nobody could tell us what the problem was. SO WE LEFT. Paid for what we had! BTW other tables were playing the waiting game too!!
A beautiful dinning room & the food is wonderful. I'm sure I will be returning there again with my family.
Delicious dinner. My family traveled to meet us at their favorite fusion restaurant
Food was just ok
Food is outstanding. Service is rushed at times and not consistent. Well worth it for the food.
Very special restaurant. Have round tables for large groups.
Apps and soups were good. Main course took a while to come out. Everything was overly salty. In each dish, the vegetables or noodles were hot, while the meat and seafood was like lukewarm at best. Tastes as if they chefs stir fry the meats and fish in bulk and let them sit aside to add to freshly made veggies and noodles. Unfortunately, not very appetizing at all. The complimentary sliced pineapple is very sweet. Overall experience, due to the main course, was very disappointing.
food was very fresh and excellent and service was great. I would highly recommend this restaurant
this was our first time...we enjoyed the dishes we had especially with regard to flavor, freshness and texture. Soup was very large bowl, we could have shared. service was almost too quick and efficient. we were done with fortune cookies within an hour.
We went to avail ourselves of the good value lunch menu.........only to find that it is not served on Saturday.
My daughters 18th Birthday
Great family gathering. Love you have large round tables to accommodate our family
Delicious dinner and excellent service. Not rushed through dinner and plenty of time for conversation
Very special Chinese restaurant in every way Our family of 10 have already made plans to return in two weeks!
Food and service was great. Very lovely place. We've gone there a number of times and every dish we've had so far has been very good. Very tasty sauces and not overdone. We will be going back soon.
We were disappointed that all of their fish is frozen. Drinks have very little alcohol and lobster was cooked until it was like rubber. Go to a restaurant with a fish or lobster tank was what they recommended to us..........
They have come along way since opening up and the food is consistently good. Lunch specials are affordable and delivery has been great. The only real knock I have is the constant staring eyes from the wait staff. They are very helpful and want to please but when they have nothing to do, go somewhere else instead of standing 10 feet away and just watching us eat. This is an easy fix management!
Ok ... so I promised myself we would try this one last time after having an amazing experience the first time, and an ok experience the second time ... well this third visit is definitely the nail in the coffin. Good service and the decor in there is so cute, but that’s all it’s got going for itself because the food was once again problematic. Appetizers were bland ... The Peking duck came out room temperature which was pretty annoying considering they weren’t busy, but it was only to be topped off by two completely undercooked pieces of Chilean sea bass that were ice cold. There was no reason they needed to be serving cold food when they were about half full so they need to do something to get it together. It’s a shame since this place seemed to have so much potential but we won’t be going back.
We have been here many times with different friends and everyone absolutely loves it here. Food is delicious in a lovely atmosphere with attentive service! What more could you want??
Beautifully renovated restaurant . Decor was elegant . The staff was accommodating with a wonderful round table for our party of 7 . The service was terrific , the food delicious and unique with many options . Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect birthday celebration :) thank you
They have done a remarkable makeover on a site that has been a series of Chinese restaurants for many years. Light jazz background music, table settings the like of which we have never seen (chopsticks with personal wooden tips inserted when you sit down--if you know enough to ask what is in the little white envelope), very attentive service . Enough about the ambience. We began by sharing some dumplings--delicate, and in a delicious peanut sauce. We then shared an old fashioned cantonese dish of prawns (big, not overdone, and plentiful) in lobster sauce. Very well done, if prosaic. When we asked for the check we were given a plate of the usual fortune cookies, but with large slices of pineapple in addition to the usual orange slices. Yes, it's more expensive than the usual Chinese restaurant, but we think it's worth the difference.
We eat here all the time. Friday my 93 year old Mom had 2 bugs in her Lo Mein. The waiter said there were bugs in the kitchen. He did not take this off her bill but gave her a new one to take home which we threw out. As much as we like the restaurant and the staff we will not be eating here again!
Took my wife my daughter and one of my granddaughters out to celebrate my birthday. The dinner was very enjoyable. The restaurant is most beautiful with very friendly service.
Nice, quiet and friendly staff - Asian Fusion with class!
Considering this is a Long Island Chinese restaurant, it’s really excellent. We’ve been here several times & have never been disappointed. From soups to appetizers to entrées, all is really quite good. Food quality is high as is the quality of the preparation. Service is always very good. Easy to get to location with enough parking as well as valet available. Definitely would recommend.
Nice find on this high class Chinese restaurant. Price is higher but the food is worth it. We ordered the mushroom soup and the broth was excellent, not watery and not salty. The pine fries whole fish was just right. Orange crispy shrimp also fresh and good. I just found it a bit too sweet but acceptable. All in all a good authentic Chinese restaurant in Long Island. I will be sure to come back and try other dishes.
Food was good but quite expensive!
Superb waitstaff and excellent food with fresh, high quality ingredients and both standard and eclectic selections.
I am still recommending Master Chef because when they get it right is GREAT. Unfortunately on my last visit that was not the case. My husband ordered the Master Chef filet Mignon and was very specific to tell them to cook it medium rare. They brought out Filet Mignon in the wrong sauce and cooked medium to well. They exchanged it and the replacement meal came out exceptionally fast. Right sauce but still cooked medium to well. We told the waitress and she said she would speak to her manager. As my meal was getting cold and my husband was hungry we ate. The manager did nothing not even an apology. Disappointing. Usually if cooked as requested the Master Chef Filet is excellent. I had a prawn and lobster combination dish that was very good.
This place has changed quite a bit over the years. The renovations were very nicely done. Service was great. Food was great. Highly recommend this place for an excellent Chinese meal without gloppy sauces. All were very delicately done and very tasty.
Julie, our server, was amazing. She was polite and so helpful. We go out a lot and it’s not often that we find a server who is so in tuned with our needs. I was so impressed. She was great!
This restaurant continues to be my children's favorite. Great place to meet my family for a delicious dinner,.
My wife and I dined at Masterchef last Saturday evening. Excellent in every way.
Food was great, the price was right and the ambiance was excellent.
Great upscale Chinese restaurant Main dishes are so large that they are meant to be shared especially if you order soup and appetizers It is beautiful to go with a group or at least four people so you can share and have variety
Since it was a crazy Mother’s Day they did a good job. Lots of huge parties which slowed things down. But food was great. The soup dumplings are worth the trip. We will be back.
Good food. Good service. Always on point. I would definitely recommend .
Great food service and ambience
