We had Ray as our waiter. He was great! Always great food no matter which location!
Used to be a lot better.
Not really a place for special occasion since it’s loud and not really a romantic environment. Food is good but pricey.
Both the food and service were very good. The waiter was attentive and made good suggestions from the menu.
Food and service was fantastic!!!
Terrible management of the place.
If we reserved a dinner and the place was prepared for new year's eve we shouldn't be able to reserve in the first.
Manager be pretty sure we won't comeback to your place. Then you should wonder why another's restaurants are full and yours is half empty.
Went for NYE dinner there. The chicken Alfredo seemed to have a Cajun flavoring to it. The garlic bread they gave with it was tough to bite. The steak with chimichuri was better but again, dry-ish. We ordered a chocolate cake for dessert and it was dry and frankly I would have liked a Betty Crocker one better.
Ribs were dry. Service so so.
Food was amazing and service was great. A little over valued, but it was a special occaision.
Met up with a friend for a holiday lunch. Great ambiance and food!
Christmas Eve dinner
Great atmosphere and food and service.
The Ginormous Meatball is a favorite of mine, I keep ordering it and I'm so full when my entree arrives but I'll never learn LOL
Love their brunch options, especially the special to choose 2 items for a fixed price.
Will definitely come back for Brunch.
Not great, not bad, just meh. We’ve heard great things about this place but it didn’t live up to the hype. We were sat upstairs, in a remote table, with a server who was obviously very new. We were finally greeted and ordered cocktails to be told they were out of tequila-? Distribution problems are real but no alternatives were offered & it was strange. That’s how I would describe our visit- strange. Food was ok, but nothing special and certainly not worth the price. Overall disappointed. Don’t think we’ll be revisiting.
We had a great dinner and the waitress was very attentive.
First time ordering chicken and waffles and a little bit disappointed. Chucked was over breaded and just barely rom temperature. Sausage gravy was also room temperature, not a lot of flavor. Drinks were good and waitress was attentive.
The server was fantastic. The food… every bite delicious.
The staff was amazing. Welcoming and very accommodating. The happy hour menu is great, with lots of choices. The food was good.
Matchbox is one of our go-to date night restaurants in Loudoun. Though I’ve never had a meal there I didn’t love, I am now obsessed with their Ginormous Meatball with wood-fired bread which is on the appetizer menu as a stand-alone item but I always add the pasta and sauce with it to make it an entree. My husband usually opts for the Cobb salad with fried chicken but we’ve also enjoyed their fish dishes, as well as their pizzas.
Matchbox has a good selection of interesting cocktails, though we find that they tend to be on the weak side, even if they’re tasty. I also enjoy the Malbec they have on their wine menu. They were out of the Malbec last night, and I opted for the Pinot Noir instead which was fine. We are usually too full for dessert but couldn’t resist ordering the carrot cake on the menu last night. OMG the portion could have fed a small country! It was so delicious and we had plenty to bring home.
Matchbox never disappoints!
Dinner with work colleagues. Nice, comfortable, good food, and relatively quiet. (A Tuesday evening).
The food was delicious and our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.
The prices for too many menu items are market priced, and over the top expensive. I understand the supply chain issues, but other restaurants seem to be managing this issue better. Just won't go back until things are more consistently priced.
Free veterans day meal for both my husband and me - the food, the service and the atmosphere were celebratory.
Nice restaurant. Very good service. Food was good.
Everything we ordered on the menu tasted delicious. We even tried the shakes which I would warn are served in big portions. Our server and staff at the restaurant were friendly and made sure everything was ok. I would definitely recommend for folks with big families.
We were seated close to the door with the restaurant not even half full when we arrived. It was chilly every time the door opened. Too many screaming kids the night we were there--they need to do a better job of seating families with small children near each other and let adults eating with other adults have their own area and PEACE (I've already raised my kids). Very annoying.
Great experience. Food very good and service also good. Will come back for sure.
Good and service was very good. They were busy on a Friday night and our food and drinks were brought out timely and accurately. Great place to go when visiting.
We used to enjoy Matchbox. However, the food is now mediocre and the prices are outrageous. There are many better options for dining out in One Loudoun.
We are in the large room at the back. It was SO loud. We had to shout to hear each other. Horrible, exhausting dining experience. Won’t be back.
Was ok, nothing great, nothing bad. A solid choice for pizza, etc.
Great food and spacious seating.
The food was okay - but there were many flies around the restaurant. It was difficult to eat without fanning flies.
Disorganized and bizarre treatment of customers. Clearly poor management.
Had an anniversary dinner and even mentioned it in the reservation but there was no special service or mention from the waiter/staff. A little disappointed that we didn't receive any special seating/ comped appetizer or congrats from anyone.
The mussels were excellent
Charged twice for soda and Arnold Palmer but only ordered 1 of each drink. Waiter was not arounf for us to wait to correct the bill; service was slow through the meal
Being out of the house never felt so Amazing, from experiencing the small crowd bristling with excitement to enjoying the twinkle in your significant others eyes, this will be well worth a returned trip....Soon! Thanks MatchBox!!
Realizing these are tough staffing times for the food and service industry, I was understanding when I arrived for a business lunch with a client and was told by the hostess that the computers were down and they could only take cash or "write down credit card info" to charge later. I said I would pay cash. Then another staffer brought the menu's and started taking us upstairs - despite my noting in the reservation and again at arrival we requested seating outdoors. Seeing the small patio was nearly full, the young lady suggested we sit at the bar where there were many seats available. We did as asked, but she disappeared without giving us our menus. It was good, we had business to discuss right away, as it was over 15 minutes seated, before we had to wave a bus boy to get some menus, and another 10 minutes before wait staff even showed up for the order. The waiter was ok, but he brought the wrong drink order, and the food ordered was mediocre at best. At an establishment charging well over $20 for a salad, it was disappointing. Time is money and we lost 30 minutes to discuss an important contract due to the misfire. Management needs to watch the service, because 3 strikes during one visit is too much.
