We look forward to serving you.
the place is shutting down due to refurbishment of the entire road and you could sense it in the attitude of staff (friendly but not particularly caring..). pizzas were ok but in my opinion, not 'italian' enough
Excellent pizza - we came for our monthly girls night of pizza and prosecco and this has been the favourite so far!
Had a company leaving do. Table was reserved and ready. Lovely cocktails, good wine and the pizzas were yummy! Friendly staff and service too. Fun was had by us all.
I asked for a crispy Pizza which gave me a slightly soggy base with burnt edges. Think this place is more of a tourist trap than foodie pizza restaurant !
The restaurant was pretty empty the night we went and I really don't know why but hence the slight mark down on ambience. The pizzas were fabulous as was the service. Reasonably priced and great friendly staff. We'll be back.
Pizza and a cocktail for £12 delicious pizza and great place. Perfect for a catch up.
Food was good and came out quickly, drinks were a little bit of a mess and overall the service started alright then went down hill rapidly.
Would recommend if you want a good pizza though not if you are in a rush.
Maverick make great cocktail, serve pizza in a lovely environment and really know how to take care of their customers. We had a great time and the majority of the dishes were fantastic. Pizzas had a great base and generous toppings. The only criticism was that two diners didn't like the taste of the pepperoni on their pizza. But this might be a preference as all the other pizzas were huge hits. A lovely place I'll be sure to visit again
Great pizza, friendly staff and a good list of drinks too. We had plenty to choose from and ate til we were very full. This place is reasonably priced and the staff can’t do bough to accommodate you. Will happily go back time and again
Great pizza. Good value. They do the basics well.
Simple menu. Great cocktails. Great place for relaxed dining in Victoria.
This restaurant has tasty food at resort prices. If you don't mind spending a bundle on adult fare in a casual atmosphere, this is a good choice. Everyone was happy withe their selections, but nothing was totally wowing. The overpriced cocktails were tasty ($13 for a blackberry concoction), and would have been better at half the price. I come away from a restaurant feeling OK about food and experience at a place like this, but if the price points were lower it would have been great. (There is a comparable place a few miles down the road in Kihei called Cafe O'Lei that had better food at better prices - my favorite Maui dining experience).
They didn't keep the reservation for us so we left the local
Drinks orders forgotten twice, three people had eaten before fourth got food, bill completely over charged though was sorted in the end!! Good atmosphere but probably wouldn't return!
Despite an email that my booking was confirmed we arrived at closed doors! I phoned the restaurant the next day to complain. The gentleman told me how sorry he was but there was a problem with the kitchen, hence they had to close. He offered me some compensation - he got my email address but so far I haven't heard anything. Very disappointed!
Excellent pizzas and cocktails, exactly as advertised. Friendly staff.
Good pizza, the Base is very tastey. Cocktails great value. The two girls that served us were really friendly and attentive. There's very few nice places around the station, Mavrick is a standout for me.
Good sized pizza, and great deal with cocktail. Too full for dessert.
The pizzas were delicious. The cocktails on the other hand could have been better.
staff were great and accommodated us despite a late arrival. also they were happy to have a dog in the restaurant which is good for london.
We ordered "home-made tomato soup made from scratch" which arrived after everyone else had almost finished their pizza and what we actually received was a tin of tomatoes heated up.
When we complained the waiter argued with us and then eventually conceded it was tinned tomatoes but there was an embarrassing scene until they empathised with why we would not be satisfied with what we received.
The waiter was rude and ignorant and 9 of us all decided we would never return.
Really nice place very simple decor / quirky loved it nice little place to eat, great pizza and cocktails and great service would definitely book again.
I ate here recently with my family who were visiting to watch Wicked at the nearby theatre. The restaurant has the perfect location as you are nearby to the theatre so don't need to rush. The happy hour cocktails were great value and delicious and the service was very friendly. Lastly, and most importantly, the pizzas were great. Would definitely recommend for a quick dinner!
If you are in central London and bored of the standard pizza options, this is a great alternative. Menu is quite small but the choices are interesting. We had the spicey Diavolo and the Parma ham, both good. Happy hour cocktails before 7 make them v reasonably priced. "Cool" decor and ambiance, friendly staff.
decent food, good value for money, friendly service
Maverick was closed at the time our reservation was for, and we only found out when we arrived. Very disappointing.
Decent pizza , but feels like it's been open a few months and has some teething problems when it's been around for at least a year! Had to wait 30 mins for the bill, despite asking numerous times, but they cut the bill as a result. Very small selection on the menu could definitely look at increasing if they want repeat business given they are in the middle of Victoria and weren't busy on a lunchtime.
Great location for Buckingham Palace. Nothing special. Adequate for a casual pizza lunch.
The food was great. The service was quick and the waiter was very friendly. The meal deal is good value for money.
Decent pizzas, good value drinks (and deals for food and drink) and pretty decent pizzas too... been a few times with friends and it's been fine every time
Great for a pizza and cocktail with workmates or groups of friends. Staff were super friendly; service a bit slow but I guess making 10 cocktails won't help! Good pizza, not the best I've ever had but they also will make to order which was great.
The place itself has a quirky look, very understated. I can't comment on the cocktail bar downstairs as it had a private function so we didn't get to see it.
We got there around 6pm on a Wednesday afternoon, it was almost empty with 4 waitresses looking bored. However, when it came to trying to get their attention for an order it was almost impossible- this continued for the whole evening! Quite often they just bluntly walked past us or were Sat in staff corner chatting, ignoring our waving and avoiding eye contact.
Cocktails were rubbish too- tasted nothing like they should (we ordered mojito) so we switched to wine straight after tasting one.
The menus is simple but the food was ok.
Overall, we won't be going back due to the service, which was so bad that we had to ask for it to be removed from the bill (12.5% added to the bill which felt unjustified).
good food, although limited variety, service was good apart form the fact that you have to tick your choices on the menu, was kind of silly
Really enjoyed the cocktails - they were all very tasty. Pizza's were also lovely. We went for a work function and it was outstanding value and everyone had a great time. Thank you!
Good Pizza, excellent drinks and all excellent value. The menu is not long but covers most key pizza bases and the cocktails were excellent. A group of four of us went for dinner and stayed on for drinks too. Also v convenient / central location
A rare funky gem in otherwise quite dull Victoria. However, the drinks service for cocktails can be incredibly slow, as in 30 minute wait for a drink on a few occasions. When they arrive, though they are excellent, and the food is great - so worth the visit.
Unassuming, unpolished staff - but very friendly, and competent. Short menus, but adequate, and the pizzas were tasty. Good venue - bigger than it looks, with small bar and downstairs cocktail bar.
We went before going to see Wicked at the ApollonVictoria. It was empty (ominous for a Friday) but filled up a bit. The pizza was basic but still quite tasty. The cocktails were very nice and on offer
Great pizzas and simple menu. The staff are friendly and food arrived promptly which is just what you need with a short lunch break
Enjoyed the food but I think the waitress forgot to put our order through initially so we had a long wait for our food
