Quiet night because of the football but we had a great meal, every dish was superb and service was very good and helpful. worth a visit but needs a good size group to try lots of dishes.
We were staying at the hotel and had lunch and dinner here. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Good spot in Mayfair, food is average, nothing amazing but good overall.
The staff were attentive but not intrusive which was perfect for a business meal, although it looked like there were quite a few tables of friends about.
The portions were generous and given the price for the location, it was great value. A return journey in order!
Simply fabulous, great venue, service was impeccable, food was delish, we had the set lunch menu which was a lot of food, 6 plates between us and we shared, each dish was on point. The service was great, asked about dietary issues and adapted accordingly. Definitely recommend and will be going again.
Only negative, cocktails ... very expensive and too much ice .. but tasty all the same :)
dining, we felt welcomed the minute we walked in. Fine dining but in a relaxed and friendly way, we were looked after by Kristiana, and she made our evening even more special by treating us to a surprise anniversary dessert, we couldn’t recommend it more. Gorgeous food, I wish I could of tried more.
Could not recommend this restaurant more! We came for my mums birthday and we all had a fabulous time and the food was simply outstanding! Our waiter Mario was extremely attentive and very polite. They also brought out a special desert for my mum as a complimentary birthday surprise! Safe to say we LOVED it! 😊
From the food to the service the experience was very good. It is a perfect place to share small plates of very well prepared food over a bottle or two of the well priced wine.
excellent. i use this place regularly and there has never been a time when i was not happy.
I’ve been to Mayfair kitchen a couple times before and the food was as good as usual! The ambience is very nice and the service is outstanding. The wine selection is great and the area around Mayfair hotel is great for a walk after or some shopping.
Good food, nice attentive service in a comfortable venue.
Party of four and we had one of every dish on the lunch menu! Stand outs were the fish and risotto! However we enjoyed all the dishes. Great service and fairly priced.
Music too loud, too much bass beat. Rest OK to good.
Nothing special, average food with average service. Sent one of the dishes back. Your typical hotel restaurant. Will not be coming back.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and decor with a relaxed yet sophisticated feel. I would certainly come here again.
The place looks nice, the service is very good, and the staff will try to accommodate your needs. The food was delicious and we had a very pleasant evening.
Went for our anniversary. The waiters were perfectly pleasant and well informed. We ordered and both had a set menu meal each and shared an extra platter.
Food arrived, but was the wrong order and was in the wrong order. Second course came before main. The restaurant was pretty empty, which isn't a great sign for prime time on a Saturday night. There was a DJ with desks that were just laid on top of a normal table and the music was too loud.
Overall, it was an okay experience, but not worth the £115+. I think we could've had a perfectly nice anniversary date night elsewhere.
Absolutely delicious food and the staff could not be more attentive. Will be back!
The food wasnt that great. I have had better Italian and Spanish tapas in London. Their sister restaurant in Leicester Sq is much better. Sangria tasted nothing like Sangria more like elderflower fizz with a drop of wine. I ordered calamari which never came after i reminded at least 5 times that it was missing. No apology from the staff
Fantastic local restaurant with tapas style plates great for sharing. The service was impeccable on a Saturday night. Great neighborhood for a walk after dinner.
As always, good ambiance and food was good
will come back again
One will have high expectation from food at May Fair Kitchen but the food was very average, nothing special - neither in presentation nor in taste. One could probably have the same quality at average quality Spanish tapas or Italian cicchetti place.
Very poor. One of the poorest service that I have had restaurants at 4 or 5 star hotels in the UK. The waiters started bringing one place at a time for one diner, the service you would expect in a canteen style restaurant. Then waited for 1.5 hour for the last course.
Had to keep on a look-out for waiter even small things like water on the table and wait for half an hour to get water. Wait for anther half hour to get bill and then another long wait and calling other staff to take the payment.
Verdict: Hugely overly priced restaurant for average food and very poor service. NOT recommended.
I used to come to the bar for cocktails after work quite frequently but it was my first time dining at the restaurant. The atmosphere is fun. We had a cocktail at the restaurant's bar first. The service was mixed. One waiter was very friendly but another took away a plate of food which still had a third of food on it. He was clearly not paying attention and it took all 3 of us on the table shouting at him together with one of the other waiter before he heard us and returned the plate. He was too busy talking to another waiter. He did apologise but it was still poor service and showed a lack of attention. All the food we ordered, which was at least about 10 dishes, were great. My main complaint is that all the food arrived almost at the same time so it all got cold very quickly and we felt quite rushed. I had actually asked the waiter when ordering if it was ok to order at the same time and would the food be staggered but he had told me it was fine. We should have been either advised to order half first and the rest later or the waiter should have asked for the food to be spaced out. Pretty decently priced for a Mayfair restaurant.
Excellent food and great atmosphere.
This was our 4th visit and as usual, food was great and very creative.
Nice ambience and good service too.
The food was really nice and the service wasn't bad either.
It was quite expensive for the amount of food you actually get. The a la carte menu is actually small plate taster type meals.
If you go there starving, you'll probably be disappointed. The food was delicious though. I'd recommend ordering three or four dishes, from different categories on the menu.
Overall a nice evening was had here!
Had a wonderful dinner with friends. Plenty of vegetarian options and the sharing concept is great as you get to try a lot of dishes. Would definitely return again!
Excellent 5 stars. Best meal in London. Everything we ordered was great.
One of my worst dinner experience out in London ! The food and service qualities were not worth the price.
This restaurant should not be qualified as cozy
We had to choose another venue for Valentine’s Day, and predictably there wasn’t much choice. We plumped for this place as 4 courses plus a glass of champagne at £75 a head seemed reasonable, given its in Mayfair and the predictable Valentine’s Day premium we all expect. Ambience of the place for us just about right, buzzy and plenty of space between tables. Then the food started arriving. A nice appetiser, then a starter, all very small. No worries we thought, the real food comes later. Yet it never did. The main course for 2 people consisted of a side plate with 2 tiny sardine sized bream, with a little garnish. We’re both fit and not greedy but left £270 down without feeling like we’d eaten a meal. Basically a complete con. I suppose they could have chopped it smaller and said it’s 15 courses. We left to our favourite kebab house for a meal, determined not to let Mayfair kitchen and their rip off Valentine’s menu ruin our evening
Fixed menu in Valentine’s Day. Was looking for a relaxed fine dining experience. The whole process was over in less than an hour. Felt rushed an impersonal. Extremely disappointed- this was not a cheap deal.
The Valentine's deal was a huge disappointment to me and my fiancee. The menu was fixed so that you're left with no choice, and what's on the menu was clearly not enough for two people and £75 per person is simply a rip-off.
pleasant staff delicious food. The atmosphere was comfortable. The price is reasonable given the quality！
Amazing! Server Veronica was fab. Food was amazing. Partner loved the mushroom risotto and I, well, the pistachio cake.... out of this world 10/10
The food was amazing, beef tacos were our favourite!
It was good as always
I went there like 3 times last and I must say Friday was a dismal.. The service was slow and I had to notify the waiters 3 times before I can get a service.. The last two times it was good. Had a lovely time, but was let down pretty much in a negative way on Friday considering it wasn’t busy.
Will I come again? I might have to think about it all due to the let down of the staff otherwise the food was amazing
Amazing!! Flavours were exceptional.
I can’t wait to book it again. We did the fixed menu for 2 of us and picked a few other dishes and everything tasted delicious. Service was quick and excellent
the food was lovely and the atmosphere was nice mainly maybe because of the good crowd we had on the night.. will return soon
Great restaurant and location, would recommend wholeheartedly!
Lovely food, service impeccable. Restaurant is well designed, very contemporary vibe. Lights a bit bright. Service is impeccable and the best dishes are Crispy Prawns with a chilli mayonnaise, jamon and manchego croquettes, and Crispy Sea Bass (I think). Will return.
