Amazing food! The service was perfect and the team at Mayfair garden was professional
We arrived for a meal on 27th and overheard complaints about waiting times and the fact they were closing on 31st for good
Bad food , most of the food was cold
Food Over priced
Service was not that great
I will not recommend
We have enjoyed this restaurant for many years and we are really sorry it is closing. Especially the people working there were absolutely fantastic. We are sorry to see them go.
The service was very good. The waitress' showed us lovely smile. It's a quite unusual happening!
One of the best Chinese Meals we have had in long time. Service was also friendly and efficient.
Very nice food and staff the only complaint I have was it was very cold in the restaurant.
Excellent starters but slightly generic main courses. A good pleasant but not outstanding experience
We have visited a number of times over the years and it does not disappoint - as ever the food and service were excellent. Despite being told that a problem in the kitchen could involve delay we noticed none and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We will be back again
Very efficient service.....interesting Dim Sum, look forward to returning.....
An excellent restaurant very good location and friendly staff highly recommended
Mayfair Garden is simply the best!
Great local gem, with authentic taste, bringing me straight back to China. This is very far from your
ordinary Chinese take out joint around the corner, where everything seems to be influenced by the deep fryer. This is fresh, authentic sharable dishes, the way they should be. Great experience
Sad to hear MG is closing soon.
Sad to hear another restaurant say they won’t accept OpenTable Dining Cheques.
Very nice food
This was my second experience at Mayfair Gardens. I returned for the crispy duck which is outstanding.
As usual, everything was to die for! Peking duck is something truly special. Pricey, but worth every penny
A very plesant restaurant. Tables are well spaced out so you are not elbow to elbow with other diners. There were many Chinese eating there which is always a good sign. The staff were particularly helpful in helping us make out choise.
Overall the food was nice but the service was really not very good. The staff in general weren’t interested in looking after their customers. It took ages to order drinks and when we did it seemed like an inconvenience. It was a real shame as I was looking forward to the evening.
Best Chinese in London, hands down. Excellent service and a real shame it will be closing.
Very good. Was expecting a tourist joint of the beaten track but quality of ingredients and service was very good. Price wise a little bit more than it could be but it is a big place and expect overheads to be high
Food was outstanding and flavoursome. Great menu and a vast variety to choose from. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and will be returning for the outstanding food.
if you like dim sum, in central london. This will be my top pick. I did hear the unfortunate news it is closing at the end of the year. Such a shame. Been eating here for years, sad to see it close.
The place was a little cold. No heating & doors left open. Cold air spiked it a bit.
Ladies loo very dirty
Service was ok
Unmotivated service. One team member had constantly to correct mistake by others.
Feeling of being a client and not a guest
Was a quiet night when we went and the staff were very attentive. The place was quite cold
It was the Chinese Mid Autumn festival so the restaurant was full. Food took extra long to come out and rather than asking for our understanding, our waitress asked if we were clear on what she was saying. The attitude was rather condescending. We also had a small child at our table, so we asked if they could send out some food first because the toddler had just arrived after a long haul flight and was hungry.
The waitress responded by saying the food will have to wait in the "queue" and come when it's ready.
Rather appalling service and my only explanation would be they can't cope with a busy restaurant.
Food was served after one hour of waiting, service was very bad only one man from the waitress was helpful and he did apologies for the delay the rest of staff and the manger are careless and they didn’t show that they really care about what happened.
Excellent Mayfair Chinese, with broad innovative menu and top service. Prices reflect the location, but not as bad as some others. Smart modern interior.
Very average food, obviously pre cooked as it arrived within minutes of ordering.
Very friendly relaxed atmosphere in a plush, modern restaurant. The food is great and service is excellent - The Mayfair Garden is highly recommended!
plenty of space and good service we enjoyed our meal.
Overall a positive experience though the tables are clearly too small for a family of 4 for Sunday lunch.
Average food ,bad service and noisy . It feels like you have to do some efforts in order to have the waiters attention.
Going again tonight - my fav Chinese in London! Have been going for the last 2 years whenever I'm in Town!
One of the best and most authentic Chinese restaurants in London!
Quality of food unchanged since the days of Princess Garden. Really enjoyed it...👍
As always, the staff service and attitudes are attentive, kind and considerate. Although I found this weekend visit rather difficult to converse with guests at a small table as two large centre tables were filled with deafening group chatter, it is generally a more peaceful space that is relaxing with well chosen dinnerware, lovely quality of tea and teapots that do not drip and are appropriately sized. The food is delicately flavoured and well balanced, and does not contain as much oil or fatty meat as usual dim sum cuisine. They use to have the most succulent and memorable steamed custard buns that they sadly took off the menu, but they still have a winning dish - if you enjoy or even hate cheung fun, your opinion of it will change after tasting it here! Less favoured slip ups this visit I would say was the overly deep friend dough stick in the cheung fun that was far too hard and possibly double fried, and some tableware that was not cleaned well. But this is somewhere I will still return to!
Very disappointed! Not like it used to be!
Wont go back again.
