Well since from 15/1/2015 i have been coming here every year same date it was always amazing and i really love it me and my wife , i was even there last week with a friend for a business meal it was really good but today i never seen a awful service at maze grill like this tonight, we ordered drinks which it did not come and the steak we ordered as my wife is pregnant she cant have anything pink or raw so we asked for the steak to be well done and it still came pink and asking for the bill and by the time some one brang it to us i had to ask for it 2 more times which after a while it came and we was not happy at all, the food is amazing usually i always highly recommend it to my work friends family clients but it really
Upset us as we always was looking forward and excited like every year tradition we keep by coming here on January 15 each year , i was not happy or my wife

Overall service was very good but the food did not match up to what we have previously experienced. The online menu also didn’t appear to line up with what we got when we sat down? Our food was sent back for re-firing and when it returned it was inedible. This is the third time we’ve visited here (we are located overseas) and we left disappointed for the first time. The front of house staff were great and tried to help where they could.

Was looking forward to Gordon Ramsey in London. Felt rushed on New Year Eve dinner. Waiter was lost and manager came around asking if we wanted to order before kitchen closed. Yeah! We did want to order!! It would have been great if waiter would have come around to order while we waited forever on him and not have to be rushed by management. On top of that veggies in the order was cold.

Fantastic food but very little service from staff and quite slow. To be then asked to pay £50 tip is a bit much when the waiter didn’t even bother too check if our food was Ok or if we wanted more drinks. Complete opposite to last time I visited Maze where the staff came regularly during the meal. Don’t think I will be going back after this last experience

For lunch for me, my Girlfriend and her daughter the cost was £290 that was only having two glasses of wine and one soft drink, which if we had great top quality service and good quality food would have been fine but we never so it was far far to over the top and I just do not see how they can charge this amount for plan medeocia food and service that really needs to be looked at,
This was a £70-£80 max meal and due to the fact that they have Gordon Ramsay's name linked to it they are milking it to the max, in no way shape or form is this anything to do with a top class chef, the service was also atrocious, they was not rude or anything like that, they just did not have the experience to serve at a table in a west end restaurant, at one point they wanted to bring my girlfriends meal out at a different time to me and her daughters meal but we refused this kind offer,😂 you will also pay for every tiny thing which is not a major thing but to pay £4 for bread and butter and again the same amount for a glass of water is a bit over the top, the ribeye steak I had was £41 and then I had to pay extra for chips at £5 but the steak was what I could have got for £15 in any old restaurant as it was just a basic steak, not for any minute a Hawksmoors or Gauchos quality steak by any means and the chips was too large and under cooked,
In this restaurant they are serving up basic food at over the top prices and doing this on name only,

Gordon Ramsay, if this is your restaurant then trust me you need a visit from someone like you to show you how a restaurant should be run and the quality of food and service expected otherwise it would seem a bit hypocritical would you not think so. it is not just my review that is saying your food is sub par but many on here all saying the same thing about low quality food and service, thats many not just one or two but many.
keep away that my recommendation as its a bit of a ripoff and go to Mc Ds for the same quality food.

I used an opentable service for booking Christmas lunch. The only time popped up was 10 am. And I got noticed that a dinner will cost 110£ each person (me and my wife), I provided a card number for booking confirmation.
There was no information that lunch starts after 11:30 am...
When I came I was told that it is breakfast time and I can’t have a Christmas dinner.

So I got very angry and sorry for missing that-was our first experience being in London for Christmas.

Staff knowing that it was not my fault didn’t try to do smth with it, just told me that everything is booked.

Somewhat disappointing in that ran out of Beef Wellington at 6pm. Also ran out of Glenlivet scotch. I don't understand why this is during a busy time of the restaurant but early in the evening.

We made this reservation 6 months ago and our entire family was looking forward to it. Having been to STK in Las Vegas (and loving it) we were looking forward to going to one of Gordon Ramsey’s restaurants in London. Unfortunately it was absolutely terrible. We ordered a filet and two ribeyes (we wanted Beef Wellington but they sold out of it by 6pm, kinda odd to sell out of something so early since Europeans traditionally eat late making us think they don’t prepare well for the reservations they have). The Steaks were over cooked, dry, and lacked flavor. One was so over cooked (We ordered Medium Rare) we had to send it back to the kitchen, and even though the second one was better they clearly gave us the crappiest cut of meat they could find. Also, the white wine pour is ridiculously small. This is a very expensive restaurant and a complete waste of money.

Food was lovely, but there were quite a few items that were unavailable, as they had had a busy lunchtime service, which was disappointing...

Overall, a good visit, and we would be happy to return...

What a king charming man he is. He had conversation with me and mum and also allowed us to take a quick photo with him. A birthday my mum won't forget. So thank you maze grill & thank you Gordon.

Was ok wasn’t blown away by the food which was average, the service was excellent though, from when we walked through the door the bar staff and our waiter who was always looking for eye contact to know when we wanted something should’ve had the chateaubriand instead of the Wagyu as it was a third fat, would give it another go based on the service and menu knowledge

Disappointing visit to the Maze Grill. Service was slow, food was average, and not particularly warm, chosen wine was not available and we were informed that serving 14 at once was a challenge, however there was still a hefty service charge applied.

The restaurant is lovely. However it took ages to order and the waiter only gave us a cocktail list saying that was their drink list. So we ended up ordering 2 cocktails then realised there should be a proper wine list. The food is nice but we have to wait 30 minutes between each dishes. There re quite a few tables available but very little staff around. Kept seeing them running back and forth but not really serving any customers. As a dinner date it’s not a great experience. Would love to come in again for the food and hope to have a better service next time.

This was my second visit to Maze Grill, my first with my family. I was very disappointed with the level of service, our waiter barely raised a smile, spoke very softly and only when taking our orders. My mash was cold, we asked 3 different servers for some mayo and there were only 4 other tables being used so it wasn't busy. I ordered fillet steak which was ok but not as you would expect from a Grill! This was our annual family trip to London each year we try somewhere different, there was no atmosphere it was very flat and certainly no Christmas spirit! My husband and I ordered steak and on the waiters advise our children shared the ribs so 3 main meals, 4 sides, 1 glass of wine, 3 soft drinks and bottle of water = £180! as mentioned we eat out in London on a regular basis and I think this was rather extortionate and we won't be visiting again! a smile goes a long way and Im sure had we felt a little more welcome the bill wouldn't have stung so much!

We came for our Christmas party. Unfortunately we waited almost 45 minutes for our drinks order and for someone to take our order. So it was well over an hour before our meals arrived. Bottles of wine started at £55 so were significantly overpriced resulting in us ordering single glasses. The choice of food was very good and cooked to perfection. We had booked the set menu offer on open table but were advised when we arrived it finished at 6.30 and we could only have a la cart. Fortunately It was not a problem but will now be wary of the offers. Unfortunately because it was so late by the time we got to eat we were unable to make use of the bar. Overall food was very good and the place was buzzing. However the service was slow compared to what we were used to (despite there being lots of waiters). The wine was overpriced compared to other local restaurants. However it was the restaurant that lost out on this rather than ourselves as we limited the drink. However we did enjoy our meal so the Chefs should be applauded.

It was a mess up with our booking as I booked awhile back for 4 persons but updated to 6 and apparently the open table set menu wasn’t valid .My mistake for not realising this but I think is still cheeky as I haven’t change the date so the offer should stand. Service wasn’t very organised although once ordered the food arrived promptly . The Steak as always was amazing however the chips were average . I was disappointed from the desserts too and that’s rare for me 😜.
We weren’t aware of the 2 hours table turn over and they were quite pushy for us to go even though we haven’t ordered the desert yet. It was my friend birthday so sort of kill the mood. We even consider leaving and having deserts elsewhere but was to late to wonder around west end . There were 3 available tables around us so I don’t see what was the fuss about. I have visited 4 other Gordon Ramsay restaurants on multiply occasions and always had outstanding service and food, hence why we chose this restaurant . Prices were quite high understandably for the food but paying £4.50 for glass of coke and £4 for small coffee was in my opinion too much especially when the rude person was keep saying ladies I need the table 😡

Have been many times and the food quality has slipped more and more recently.
I had to send my steak back as it was so cold it was inedible. The steak that came back was then overcooked and rather unpleasant - I couldn't really do any more as I was entertaining a customer - so had to just put up with it and ate all the side dishes. Wont be returning now, despite the happy, welcoming staff.

Slow, inattentive service combined with an almost cafeteria-style ambience in parts of the restaurant made this a very disappointing experience. I dont usually bother to write reviews but this was so below what I expected for GR restaurant and in general this part of town (Mayfair).

The quality of the food, service and venue itself made me feel like I was in a hotel restaurant and I'm not talking a 5 star one on Park Lane, I mean a holiday or premier inn by he side of a motorway.

The restaurant is so very tired and in desperate need of a refurb, my drink finally made it through from the bar once seated after 10 minutes, repeatedly had to ask for condiments, cutlery not well cleaned / polished. Over priced lacklustre sides accompanied my well cooked but tasteless steak, which with two glasses of wine and service and cover charge for tap water !! Not had her before set me back just over £90.

Will not be going back... 👎
