Gordon Ramsay Maze Grill Park Walk
Snow crab, avocado, tobiko, tempura crunch
Salmon, Nashi pear, crispy rice, ponzu
Terribly expensive poor choice very boring ambiance
So disappointed dinner, no service at all. The first and last time to go there.
Just visited the restaurant for Sunday lunch. First time ever. Our teenage kids super excited, specially after watching the program on TV.
We were so so disappointed. Food is good, but the service. AWFUL.
Our waiter could not be more unprofessional and unpleasant, almost miserable. Got an inpretion that the restaurant was the last place he wanted to be. No introduction of himself nor welcome. 0 communication with us at all.
We had no advice on the menu nor drinks. Were given menus. After deciding what to choose asked for a recommendation. All we got was a nod.. My daughter asked me if the waiter was upset with us.
If this was on Gordon's show, this person would get an earful for sure.
I had to ask for a Sunday lunch menu. We were given this 10 minutes after sitting down. First only 3 menus and 5 minutes later another 2.
Spending couple of hundreds pounds on Sunday lunch , I would choose somewhere where I got treated with more respect.
Would not return nor recommend this place. Purely because of the service.
Excellent lunch with friends food was fabulous service excellent we will be back .
Wanted to find a casual spot to have Friday dinner out with family to keep in the rotation. Selected based on casual menu, location and open table offers. Upon getting there asked about 2 for 1 drinks was given a yes, but no explanation- was not 2 for 1 on the bill. Not sure where we went wrong there but the server clearly didn’t like that I asked and didn’t bother explaining. Felt uncomfortable about the whole situation. One of the sides I believe was missed and arrived slightly later after initial food being delivered. Overall no explanation of specials whether it was cocktails or food. If you are booking based on opentable offers I would just look somewhere else because you will have to pull teeth to try and get answers about what exactly qualifies for what - honestly that is just not what I’m interested doing on my night out.
The food is amazing but it’s been second time when the service was just ‘lost’. It takes forever to place any order, or even ask for anything extra.. we did not received the pre-lunch bread which the table next to us got. Also, the waiter
Was bending across the table so my friend got to enjoy the lovely scent of his underarms. In addition the waitress lady seemed unbothered by the fact that she kept on mixing mineral still and sparkling waters.
The food is cr@p.
We visited because of the hype around Gordon Ramsay but the food was really really bad.
Generally good, but we were expecting 'great' from the Maze Grill.
It's just a shame the chef didn't spend more time ensuring the meals were correctly plated and less time covorting with his mates sitting at the bar.
Brilliant clean toilets.
Great service and food as always and a very nice January menu
Fun & yummy
Can’t remember how a restaurant servicing just 2 tables was able to make such a mess. Asked for the meat medium, came well done, I have to call the hostess to send it back to the kitchen, and fair to say he did immediately.
Waitress remove the bottle of wine without asking me or showing it, when I asked she said it was finished.
She was not quite paying attention to patrons, just trying to sell us things that we didn’t need ( we told her we were not hungry, she said go with the tomahawk, 1,2 kg of meat).
It is fair to say that they didn’t charge us for the meat, by the end.
Sushi was pretentious, filled with such amount of cream that you think it was a pastry.
Please focus doing what you’re good - sushi is not your thing, and covering edamame with pepper doesn’t enhance its taste, just bury it.
Service correct, ambiance sympathique.
We attended the pre-fix Christmas dinner. The food was at the level you would expect for a Gordon Ramsey Restaurant (quite good). However, there are a couple of basics purely missing. First, when the food was delivered to the table we had to ask what it was; I went so far as to ask for the menu again so we might have some insight as to how it was prepared. Second, the restaurant appeared to be running on a skeleton crew as we watched plates, glasses and silverware pile up on the bar. It made the whole experience feel thoroughly ordinary and overpriced.
Christmas Day menu was overall quite a disappointment and Ramsay should really audit his own restaurant sometime! Not unfriendly but lousy service which was slow and completely unfocused. The wine menu arrived after our first course despite asking for it!The food was basically average pub food charged £120 pp. The soup was completely uneventful and if there was any amount of truffle in it, it was completely indiscernible. Starters to share were ridiculous to be honest: fried tasteless brie, some kind of pate and smoked salmon all in the same plate! What is this a supermarket Christmas platter?!?? Sole was poorly cooked and beef Wellington, well just not great... one of us didn’t eat more than a bite of the Wellington. The manager did approach us and offer to replace that main course with any other dish on the menu but we didn’t accept as the previous dishes had already shown us what the quality of the kitchen was going to be like that day. Desserts were in line with the rest of this bland, un-exciting and very expensive Christmas menu. We have been fairly regular clients of this restaurant with their a la carte menu but frankly we won’t go back.
I have eaten at Maze Grill many times and the most recent on Christmas Day was the single worst dining experience I have ever had. I have seen better meals produced in schools and Toby Carvery’s. Was embarrassing and inexcusable.
Christmas meal, service was very slow and we waited too long with our main meals without gravy which was frustrating however we were given our two bottles of wine on the house for the delays which was appreciated.
.....se questo è quello che dovrebbe essere Gordon Ramsey siamo messi male.......
Food was just ‘good’
Service was brilliant. Restaurant decor and ambience was great. But food wasn’t our favourite and for the price we did expect that it would have better. Ingredients were fresh and presentation was good but lot of the dishes were too salty and had too much sauce on it. Staff was brilliant though.
I’d specified in the booking that it was a special occasion (my wife’s birthday) so was slightly disappointed that none of the staff appeared aware.
Other than that the food was great - in particular the meat was very tasty indeed - we sampled the chateaubriand and T-Bone steak. The waiter who came to the table to explain the different cuts by displaying the actual pieces of meat was knowledgeable.
One small gripe: the size of the bearnaise sauce portion. They were way too small, which is frustrating given that they are charged for separately. Equally, the size of the side orders is puny, and they are each charges at £5.50.
Altogether a nice experience, the ambiance of the restaurant is modern yet welcoming.
Disappointing. Strong first impressions - restaurant is inviting and comfortable, warm welcome from staff, appealing food and drink menu. First course was also strong. But then things seemed to fall apart. Waiter was inattentive after the order was taken. And main courses were mostly disappointing, particularly the pricey steaks that feature prominently on the menu. Service became so dreadful after the main course was served we didn’t even bother with dessert. With so many choices, this was not worth it.
Dear MitchM, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed on your experience with us and that you found it not to be worth. Please accept our apologies, we wish we could have rectified the issues on the day if we only had known. We hope that you'll reconsider to visit us in the future and enjoy the experience. Kind regards, Maze Grill Team
Very nice evening
A very good Beef Wellington perhaps the highlight
Nice ambience and reasonably priced wind
Value for the meat wasn’t there, way too overpriced for what it is.
Provided us with a bottle of £50 which was a screw top not even with a corkscrew. I think a restaurant of this standard should not have wines with screw tops it looks cheap
Great service, food outside of early set menu expensive for what it was.
Octopus starter was excellent but the prawns were so so, the garlic in the sauce m tasted a little burnt. The t bone was £138! Thankfully shared with my wife. It was nice but not outstanding.
Thank you for taking the time to write the review. Be assured your comment with be shared with the culinary team. Thank you!!
We had the best dinner so far
Thank you for your 5 stars review!!
Went at 1800 with two children (aged 8 and 10) and staff were very welcoming and attentive. As other diners turned up and noise levels raised the children were not out of place but we were out by 8 ish. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced - if I lived nearby I would be here every week!
Thank you for your amazing review
Perfect, but expensive, as I already knew! It was a worthwhile experience!
Thanks for your 5 stars review
We had a lovely Sunday lunch here. It really is child friendly and very relaxed despite the rather elegant and smart interior. Service was quick and attentive. Food was great. We definitely recommend it!
We are really happy to read your positive review . Thank you!
Had the 3 course set menu. The portions are small especially for starters as they are more like nibbles.
Thank you for your valuable feedback!
It wasn’t busy when we arrived. We received little attention amongst a number of different servers that came to our table. Starters and dessert were good, but BBQ Ribs were very disappointing, so much so, I didn’t eat them. The only good part was the BBQ sauce.

Absolutely wonderful from start to finish the staff couldn't do enough for us and the food was unbelievable best steak I've eaten in years. Special note for our Nepalese waiter who really made the visit his attention to detail along with great personality made the perfect night.
