First Vanentines Day with my love was exquisite. The food, service, and ambience could not have been better, and the view from the 14th floor only served to enhance the experience. The 4-course Valentines Day dinner was a bit on the pricey side, but I knew what I was walking in to after having checked out their web site. A very romantic evening!

Everything about our dining experience at Mbar was spectacular. The surprise entrance once you step off the elevator and the view opens up set the tone for the rest of the evening. Gracious, natural hospitality with a hip accent (but not so hip to make us feel we aren't cool enough !) Every table in the elegant, open dining room has a beautiful view of the city / Space Needle. We started with a cocktails, Romanesque Revival and I want your Tod, which were both well crafted and fun start to the evening. Went on to choose a bottle of red wine from the concise and well chosen list - for us the ideal range of styles and price. The manager helped us select a bottle, then when it was out of stock brought us another more expensive and offered it to us at the same price as the first bottle (they actually forgot to discount it at the end of the night, but the thought was nice and the evening was so perfect we noticed, but didn't say anything as we didn't care!) The service was attentive, interested, informative and we felt they genuinely happy to have us dining that night. This last element is rare, service and food can be good, but what brings us back is the sense of connection.

Since the first of the year, our diet has been Paleo/Anti-inflammatory and this was our first foray into serious dining since starting - no problem at Mbar - though we both chose to deviate a bit from our plan with Salad olivieh with poached rabbit loin, Salsify, leek & fennel soup, Jersualem artichoke mezzelune with sage butter & pine nuts, and the Beef cheek with crispy duck fat potato, and for dessert the cheese plate. All items were equally spectacular. We already have a reservation to go back with out of town guests (we actually had a reservation someplace else and changed.) Mbar is now at the top of our list in the city for food, cocktails, staff and ambiance.

Beautiful, hip ambience with impressive views of Seattle skyline. Service was professional and helpful. Food was creative and tasteful. Server thought are main courses were slow out of the kitchen, so they comped us with some delicious appetizers.

Christina and I were there for our anniversary and we had a blast! Honestly we didn’t think we’d have a night off together, from our busy schedules, so this was an awesome impromptu excursion. You’ll find it very different than your usual dining experience. In my opinion, I’m a fan of a different concept. The decor is recycled, and fabulous. It has a high rise, secret bar, nightclub appeal, which made it for a fun little outing. As an industry person, aware of the latest food trends, service,m. The overall flow was seamless. Love the stemware by the way, (I will break those glasses so fast in my home) and our server was to die for, patient, and super kind.

4 of us ladies got together for bday happy hour and dinner. Although it is January we had cocktails on the covered patio and enjoyed the view. We were given blankets and there are overhead heaters. We tgen moved inside for an excellent dinner. Would definately return.

We really enjoyed the creative and very tasty dishes, which were inspired by Mediterranean cooking but done in a "foodie" style. The views over South Lake Union (mostly apartment towers, but also a view of the Space Needle) make for a fun experience.
