We arrived and was welcomed in. The staff greeted us well. We order some starters and mains. The starters took about 15 mins to arrrive then 45 mins later the mains had not arrived. Really terrible service!
Food was great. Our host Nicolette was very patient and kind.
Great food, trendy atmosphere, we were there early but just livening up as we left. Definitely would recommend
Booked 9-course tasting menu for NYE. Food was excellent but had to wait almost 1 hr from arriving to the first dish was served. This was disappointing considering the meal had been pre-paid so no need to take our order. Expected quicker service. Nearly missed the fireworks!
We really enjoyed the Excellent sharing menu and great wine.
As this restaurant offers a tapas style selection of pan Asian dishes, we struggled to select from the menu what to have as everything sounded fantastic. As it was our first time we decided to have the 9 course tasting menu and we were not disappointed! The food was cooked fantastically, it was very tasty and the presentation was delicate - beautifully fit for a photoshoot.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly in switching a fish dish (as we are not big fish eaters) for a double serving of the chicken satay (which was thoroughly delicious).
The cocktails we had were both unique, lovely and complimented the food very well.
The place feels like a hidden gem down a side street; a great "I know a place" when meeting up with family or friends, or first dates sure to impress.
A discreet but smart frontage hides the wonderfully industrial but warmly atmosphere down in this basement restaurant and I can't wait until my next excuse to book a table here and explore more of the menu! Might save room for a pudding next time.
Whilst it is a little expensive, it did feel like it was worth every penny.
Food was underwhelming, under seasoned, and the chicken undercooked.
My boyfriend and I loved it for his birthday dinner
Totally amazing! Delicious, stunning menu & flavours. We enjoyed every dish from the tasting menu. It was a special family occasion & we were seated in a cosy snug area where we were treated to the best service imaginable. This is a fabulous restaurant which I cannot recommend highly enough. Hope to return one day!
Excellent food as always. Slightly disappointed with the service yesterday as it was a bit slow. Some meals didn't come out hot either. On the whole though a fab venue with really interesting and delicious food.
Unfortunately, not good for Vegeterians/Vegans.
All the veggie dishes tasted the same. Food was bland, too sweet.
I felt discrimated against as a vegetarian, as the non-vegeterian food looked great and I think it was pretty good, judging by my friends comments.
I didn’t finish any of my dishes and paid £65 for a very poor meal. Needless to say I went home hungry and disappointed. I am particularly sad, because I was looking forward to this dinner for a long time. The ambience is nice and the staff were friendly and attentive, hence two stars. Otherwise I would have only given one. Sorry!
Great food and ambience. We ordered 3 dishes each plus a side which turned out to be a quite a lot of food... ended up being too full for dessert 😔
We had to wait 40 minutes for a table we had booked. One of the waitresses was very rude. Food was OK, drinks were great but didn’t make up for the lousy service.
The food was very good, really very good. I just wish Mber would move to a bigger location. This time round we were seated on the high chairs overlooking the dining area and would not recommend this as you feel like you are sitting in the corridor. I previously dined at Mber and was each time in the main dining area, which was great so it was a disappointment to be seated in this area as it really affects the experience.
The welcome is to be reviewed. The lady is not professional and not welcoming !
But the waitress was very good and very careful.
The service was exceptional from the minute you walk in! Got there early and were taken to the bar and then seated in our own private room! Couldnt believe it! Very tentative, explained the menu and how it worked etc. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food! Also very reasonable, will definently go again, lots of lovely vegetarian options for me and vegan options too!
The food was delicious however was very slow to come. Understandably the courses will come at different times as it is a tapas vibe however each dish came completely separately with no overlap and long waits between dishes. Additionally the service was poor. They forgot to bring one of the dishes we ordered two of and the waitress seemed to believe that we had already had it and stormed off to the kitchen after accusing us of lying.
Overall my experience was good - tasty food and friendly service. However, the table next to mine was so noisy, that my friend and I had to shout to hear each other.
In addition, I wish the waitress recommended us to order 1 dish less as we were so full and had quite some food left and wasted!
I would recommend the restaurant to my friends.
Lovely atmosphere, cosy and warm but at the same time has a beautiful industrial feel to it. Food was great, exotic flavours and a lot of choice for everyone. However, 3 dishes might be too much for most people.
Staff were friendly and food was excellent!
Lovely place, good service and interesting food dishes. Recommended 3-4 per person but we found 2-3 plenty. Would go again.
Great menu and a fantastic vegetarian selection. The tasting menu is particularly good value and very inventive. Atmosphere was good, with music in the background. Service was great.
Our first, but by no means our last visit. The service, food and drinks were all superb. The waitress had very good knowledge of the food and drinks, which always helps.
We waited a very long time for our lunch. People that arrived after us were finished their meal by the time we received some of our dishes. The black cod was delicious but it was almost cold. The dishes tasted amazing but I got back to the office over 2 hours later due to the waiting time.
The food was great. When notified of the allergies, every effort was made to accomodate the preference. However, service is rated poor due to the waitress's arrogant attitude.
Great place and great food.
Amazing staff and amazing drinks!
Will definitely recommend and go again!
I booked MBER for a business lunch and requested best possible table. We were seated in a private room with a stunning wooden table and stools. Food was delicious and staff were fantastic. Will definitely be back, a hidden gem!
Charged me 25 pounds for wine which we never had, didn’t realise when I paid the bill, checked the next day!
Lovely little bar to have a cocktail in before dinner, the staff were fun and friendly. It was my daughters birthday and we were given the private dining room which was unexpected and really special, she also got a little sweet treat at the end. Really nice, different flavours and actually the nicest tasting aubergine dish I’d ever had!
very good we took 9 course test its 40 each it was excelent
Dinner for 6 with Clients, asked for round table and got a cool private room. Had the Tasting menu it was superb.
Good food but portions were on the smaller side and were a little pricey
Wonderful place and lovely food, the service was also outstanding so I totally recommend it
I was looking for somewhere special to take my friend for his 40th birthday when I came across MBER! I was so chuffed with myself and the gem of a fine! We had the 9 course tasting menu and every single plate was a delight! The service was impeccable. I had mentioned on my booking that it was for a birthday but hadn't asked for anything, yet we were surprised with the most amazing dessert on the house. A great spot and one I will definitely be returning to.
The food and service were great. Each small dish served was a surprising delight.
Good great awesome
Really nice spot. We did the tasting menu. Food was excellent and good value.
This was a hidden gem we found. My colleague is leaving to have a baby so we all went out for a lunchtime meal. I had put on my booking form about my colleague and they bought a lovely little dessert out for her at the end which was a very nice touch and unexpected. The food was amazing and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back here again!
Greeting and service was great, very attentive. Music way too loud for dining!
Expensive for quality of meats but decent portions for tapas. Logic and timing of food doesn't make sense.
Decent range of dishes on offer and nicely presented. 9 and 12 dish taster is priced per person based on a minimum of 2 people. Confusing and pricey for a sharing menu.
Service was good and well looked after but some make staff a little pompous and service charge automatically applied.
Decent service and food, wouldn't say it's worth the money.
Absolutely fantastic! Will be returning shortly!
