Worse steak house Ever!! We made our decision to dine here based on their website menu. When we arrived we discovered that prime ribs weren’t even on the menu?! What kind of steakhouse doesn’t offer prime ribs?? We were each given different menus which they also had to correct.
The meal was delicious. I liked the way the entree was served with the sides chosen by the chef.
The wall enclosed booth was an added Bonus having a two-year-old with us, and the appearance of the Easter bunny just capped an enjoyable meal.
Our April 21st visit was probably our 6th visit to McCormick & Schmidt and the only reason we continue going is because we occasionally receive gift cards to this place from our kids. I’m guessing they purchased them at Costco for 20% off which I don’t have a problem with I just wanted to share this with readers of my review. If you are an AARP member you get an additional 10% off food items as well. Even with the discounts I don’t think you get your money’s worth. There is really nothing wrong with the place just grossly overpriced. My wife had the baked stuffed shrimp for around $26.00 which was good but not great. I had the shrimp scampi for $24.00 which wasn’t bad but tasted very similar to what I would have gotten at Friday’s from about $10.00 less. Our entries were among the least expensive on the menu. A glass of wine starts at around $8 per glass. Again, McCormick & Schmidt’s isn’t bad but there are much better and less expensive places right around the corner that I think you will enjoy more.
The atmosphere was pleasant. The service was adequate , not classy but pleasant. Food quality and presentation vert poor for the price!
OUR SERVER WAS AWSOME. She was a true professional.
Always satisfied with everything about this location.
We can always count on McCormick & Schmick's for quality food and service. Their location in Reston is convenient. The restaurant staff is very professional.
Service was poor. Server took drink orders for two diners and then two more diners a few minutes later. Brought the second two and totally forgot about the first two. All drinks were empty before we saw him again. We ordered a second round of drinks and food for four. One of our diners was very clear about no dairy. She ordered simple trout and veggies. After an excessively long wait, dinner arrived. Her trout was sitting on a bed of creamy mashed au gratin potatoes and a bit of lump crab on top with a melted butter sauce. After the server finally returned to the table, she explained the situation. He took the plate away. A great deal of time passed before her plate came back. By that time, everyone else was completely done eating. No effort was made to compensate, no apologies. Waited forever for the bill.
Food was just okay. No way we go back to this McCormick location. Lots of superior options in the same center.
We always enjoyed this restaurant & continue to do so. We stayed away for quite some time because of Reston Town Center's atrocious new parking system which is not only expensive but very hard to use. Now that the policy has been partially modified, we've returned, at least for dinner. Not for lunch since parking fees still apply after the first hour for lunch! We also preferred it even more before it was sold to Landry. Unfortunately Landry has insisted on raising prices so we don't go quite as frequently as we once did. Landry also removed our favorite appetizer from the menu, the crab & avocado tower. It was fabulous--would love to see it come back. But food & service otherwise were as great as ever. Warmly recommend it!
Although the service is hit-or-miss, the food is always very good, and the setting is upscale but comfortable. We loved the little alcove that gave our party a quiet setting for our dinner.
Waiter/waitress are friendly.
It is a good place to bring your business partner, customer and significant others.
Nice place and atmosphere. Food ok but expensive for quality. Server very busy so service was slow for 5 pm on Sunday night. First visit to this chain and wouldn't go out of my way to return.
Thank you very much. It was a pleasure dining there
Service was prompt and attentive. Menu had an excellent set of choices. The Filet and crabcakes entree was prepared to perfection. Excellent value!
Awesome! The meal and service was excellent!
A most enjoyable dinner and wonderful St Patty Day
Initially, once seated, no one approached my table for upwards of 15 minutes when the manager finally came to our table and apologized.
Recently had a "date night" dinner with my wife at McCormick & Schmick and couldn't be happier with how the whole experience was. The waitress was kind, knowledgeable and always attending to our every need. I have an allergy to mammal meat and products (alpha-gal syndrome) and the staff were amazing in their obvious care to meet my needs and keep me safe. The manager personally addressed the issue first with me then with his head chef who also came to the table and assured me that his preparation followed my instructions. Wow! So impressed by this staff.
Oh and did I mention that the food was also amazing! I recommend McCormick & Schmick to all who appreciate this kind of quality of service and cuisine.
Been many times and this time it fell flat. Despite being slow for brunch, our server was very disinterested and when asked about different entrees or the oysters he could not describe or remember. The food was OK but nothing to write home about
Overall the food and service was good but we were very disappointed in the landry rewards not counting out gift card points for McCormick & Schmick gift cards we had purchased at Costco.
Came to watch hair supply and have dinner with a friend
Waiter was a little too attentive , would have preferred to have a more private evening.
After spending $325 on dinner for four, we found it took 25 minutes for our meals to come out, our wait for drinks was 15 minutes and service was slow with plenty of excuses.
It’s maybe busy night.we ordered seafood tower so good But dish one of seafood plat over cook,I’m looking forward to tryout again.
My wife and I seldom get out of the house to enjoy an evening together.we have known each other since seventh grade and we're in our mid-60s with a house full of kids and grandkids. So when my wife and I needed a night to enjoy each other's company we were met at the front desk by a pleasant hostess. We did have reservations and we're seated immediately our waiter Mike did an outstanding job answering all and detailing all the values of the evening. So if you need a kick-start with somebody you've known for 50 years we had a great time thank you very much to you and your staff. By the way your food was also outstanding I enjoyed it totally best wishes Jim
Staff was wonderful to the entire family, there for a surprise birthday.
We had a great meal. The food was excellent and the service was fast and attentive.
Love this place. Quality seafood and many options, parking right across the street, and not too loud on Saturdays so great place to meet friends and visit.
As indicated the noise level was way to high. Unfortunately we hit the one Friday a month when there was live music in the bar.
It was a very delicious meal. We had lobster tails and crabcakes, which were both excellent. Also had a lobster bisque appetizer, which suited the rainy weather, and coconut shrimp. All very delicious and satisfying.
Dinner was amazing. Had Salmon and Big Eye Ahi Tuna specials. Delish! Staff and management top notch. Will become our new go to restaurant in Reston.
Great food and service every time! We are never disappointed. Everyone is very attentive to making sure we are happy with our service and food.
Overpriced. The crab cakes were not lump crab. Too much filler. Definitely not worth the price.
Our main courses were very good. We had the Ahi tuna special and glazed salmon. Our appetizer, however, was not very good. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and they had way too much Hollandaise sauce loaded on them. It was all you could taste.
The food was ok. The service was mediocre. The noise level was higher than what I expected. Our server was over worked but even then his service was below par.
Our table was probably the worst table in the restaurant, too small (there was hardly enough space for my husband) and right next to the kitchen.
The waiter was probably only doing his first or second day in his job.
The food was excellent as usual but everything else was disappointing.
It was wonderful.
Great service great food. Will be back for special occasson
